Violet and Jeffery got home. They decided to watch the stars for some time.
“Won’t you go home? Violet asked him, tilting her head to his direction
“I will, when you go in. Jeffrey replied
“Alright then, you mustn’t be late for school tomorrow.. Violet said
“There’s no lectures until the exams comes to an end.
“Is that so? Violet asked and he nodded
“If that’s the case, let’s go in and eat something. She added held Jeffrey’s hands and they both walked into the house
She walked to the kitchen immediately and brought her dinner.
She sat closer to Jeffrey as they ate together. They were done minutes later and they both walk to the kitchen to do the dishes like they use to.
“I will go rest now.. Violet said immediately they were done with the dishes and Jeffrey nodded.
She walked to her room and brought out her pay for the day. She counted it and smiled. It was $500.
“It’s worth it though. The stress wasn’t that much” She said and remembered the slap she received earlier
She held her cheek and sigh. Her eyes landed on the $100 note on the bed
“Maybe because I forgot to take you with me today that’s why I wasn’t that lucky….Though I got lucky in another way.
“I actually got the job of a chef.. she said staring at the money
“Violet, since when did you become this pathetic? Talking to money?” She sigh and opened her drawer. She placed the money in it then close it back
She Strip and walked to the bathroom for a warm bath. She walked back to her room when she was done and settled on her night gown before lying on the bed.
Tomorrow is another day Violet.. she told herself and embraced sleep.

Jeffrey couldn’t stop smiling. He kept imagining the happy face of Violet at the restaurant and this made him smile more.
‘I wonder what you’re doing to me violet. He thought with a smile before closing his eyes to embrace sleep

∆∆ MARA’S MANSION, EVERGREEN COLLEGE
Mara sat upright, thinking about what Claire told her. She didn’t really know if Ryan had any brother or sister.
‘If not because I saw a picture of him , his dad and mine, I wouldn’t have known his dad too. But why does anyone not know about it? That he is the son of Chairman Li?” She thought
“Is something wrong? Claire asked, rubbing her eyes. She just woke up
“Nothing, just thinking of a way to make Ryan love me.. she said and Claire sigh
“Will you be attending classes today? Claire asked
“Yeah.. If Ryan comes, then I have no choice than to go see him again” Mara replied and Claire smiled

Ryan woke up and headed to the bathroom. He brush his teeth before descending the stairs. He was on a hoodie and a black big pants.
He walked to the sitting room and the maids greeted simultaneously but he didn’t say or utter a word. He didn’t even hummed a reply this time around
“Your breakfast is ready young master.. the head maid said pointing at the dining. He faced the dining hall and saw his meal well covered
He walked towards it and sat. He drew the plate closer and eat from it. After scooping Three spoons into his mouth, he cleaned his mouth and walked out of the mansion
“Good morning young master.. Brown greeted immediately he sighted him while he hummed a reply
“Chairman Li and his wife, are they out of the house?” He asked and Brown looked at him surprised.
He felt lucky that Ryan was talking to him again.
“Yes young master.. Brown smiled and he nodded.
“Let’s go.. he said while brown raised a questioning brow at him
Ryan looked at him again and hissed
“Didn’t I tell you I wanna learn driving?” He said placing his hands in his pocket
“Ah! That’s true.. Brown replied.
“But are you going out like this?” Brown asked, staring at his outfit while Ryan just stared at him back without answering.
Brown walked towards the car and opened the door for him
Ryan closed the door and opened it by himself. He h@ťěd people doing everything for him
He entered the car and signal to Brown to drive so they could go to an open field where he could learn.

Violet woke up early this time as she headed to the garden. She plucked some vegetables and other things she will be needing to practice her cooking. She also got somethings from the nearby grocery store
She walked back to the house and headed to the kitchen. She placed the ingredients she was going to be using on the counter. She was going to be making Szechwan chilli chicken, her favorite meal
She washed her ingredients and chopped them.
“Now, let’s get started” She said and got to work
She flash fry the diced chicken with ginger till it’s color change to golden. She drained the oil out of it and added her diced garlic, spring onions, green and brown pepper corn
“Wow, I’m a good chef” she gushed happily as she stir the chicken
She added the white pepper powder and chilli oil. She stirred again for a while before adding the black vinegar
“Omg, it looks delicious ” she exclaimed when she was done
She scoop a spoonful into her mouth but immediately spat it out
” f_ck, this is… awful” She grimace and turn it into the trash can
” Let’s try again” She said and started all over
” I hope this one taste delicious” She said after she was done

” Eww, this is worst” She said as she rinsed her mouth with water
” That man at the restaurant… Was he pulling my legs?” She wondered
” I can’t give up, I already accepted the job” She said and dropped the food into the trash can again
She clasped her hands together
” Dear God, this is my third trial please make it delicious” She prayed
” Amen” She opened her eyes
She got her ingredients again and started all over from the beginning
Minutes later she was done…
” The first two trials tasted like poison, I hope this one doesn’t ki|| me” She prayed and scoop the food into her mouth
She shut her eyes tightly and started chewing the chicken slowly
” This Kinda taste different from the rest…. Or am I dead? Did the third trial ki|| me” She wondered and opened her eyes slowly
“Omg! I’m not dead… I’m alive, the food is delicious” she said happily and scoop another spoon into her mouth
” I’m a chef now… A good chief, I don’t cook poison anymore” She shouted and started dancing round the kitchen happily
” Why are you so happy?” Jeffrey asked, leaning on the kitchen’s door
” You won’t believe it Jeff… My cooking ski||s has improve”
” Really?” Jeffrey grimaced
” Yeah, come have a taste…
” No thanks ” he replied and she glared at him
” Tch, I h@ťě you” She feigned anger
” Okay, okay. I will” Jeffrey said and her lips curved into a smile
” Gosh, I pray I don’t loose my taste buds” He muttered under his breath
” You said?”
“Nothing, I said it’ll be delicious” Jeffrey let out a tight smile
She scoop a spoonful and brought it close to his mouth
“Ahh” She signal him to open his mouth wide and he did
He chewed slowly on the food and she stared at him intensely, trying to read his expression
” How is it?” She asked and he grimaced
She pouted sadly after seeing his reaction. ” It’s not good? Is it that bad? Gosh, I wasted so much effort on it”
” But I still haven’t commented on the meal” he said
” There’s no need for that…
” It’s delicious ” He said and she scoff
” Are you trying to make me feel better?”
” I’m not… It’s delicious, I’m serious” he said seriously
” Really?” She asked, excitement glinting in her eyes
“Yes ” he nodded
” Omg!!” She screamed and started jumping around while Jeffrey helped himself with the food
