Violet and Jeffery clasped their hands together as they closed their eyes. Their hearts too couldn’t stop beating so fast and loud that they thought Mr Xian would hear it
“Who cooked this?” The customer asked dropping his chopsticks on the table. Violet’s heart sank immediately those words left his mouth. She couldn’t even say anything or open her eyes
‘ I’m doomed.. lucky charm, why did I have to forget you at home today.. she wept silently. She didn’t bother to look at the man as her head remained bent.
“Wow.. the customer complimented
Violet and Jeffery snapped their eyes open at once.
“Did he just Wow the food or that was from the other customers? Violet whispered to Jeffrey and he shrugged
“She isn’t that bad. The customer added, picking up his chop sticks again
“I’m sorry Sir, but did you just say it’s good?” Violet asked and the man stared at her.
“Do you want to have a taste for yourself?” The man asked back and she shook her head.
“Violet, you and Jeffery should go clean up the tables. I believe this is will be the last customer for the day” Mr Xian said and they nodded
Violet smiled broadly as she and Jeffrey started cleaning up the table
“When did you learn to cook that way? I’m not saying your food weren’t delicious in the past… I’m just…
” Cut the crap Jeff, we all know my food tasted horrible in the past. Don’t lie to my face ” She rolled her eyes and he laughed
” Well… I really don’t know, I wasn’t expecting it to taste delicious either, I just took the risk” She added
” You should cook for me some other day, it’s been long I tasted your food” he winked
” Tch” She scoff loudly and he laughed again
They were done cleaning and were retiring for the day
“Violet” Mr Xian, their boss called and she turned to him
“Sir?…
” I Know I’m being selfish but I’ll really appreciate if you could work with me as a chef… The work is kinda stressful for me alone and I’d hope you would….
“Yes, yes. I agree, I’ll work” She cut in excitingly
” You.. Mr Xian trailed off before nodding.
“Here.. he said, handing them an envelope. They did a bow before walking out of the restaurant.
“OMG… Violet screamed when Jeffrey carried her up in his arms without warning.
“Gosh Jeff, I thought was going to fall.. she said still in his arms.
“I have to start learning how to cook better now” she said again and Jeffrey nodded before putting her down.
“Gosh, I have savings now… Firstly, I will buy clothes, shoes and any other things I will be needing.. she smiled
“Hmm, let’s go shopping together before your exams.. Jeffrey said and she nodded as the walk down the street

Ryan sat infront of his laptop. His eyes glued to it’s screen. He was reading and going through some other things in his books.
He is the over all best student on campus, that’s was the reason his dad asked him to supervise the scholarship exam.
He stood up and walked to his window, he opened it and the cold breeze blew on his face. He smiled slightly at the beauty of the moon and stars.
He stayed that way for minutes but left immediately he saw his dad’s car drive into the parking lots
He quickly closed the window and sat Infront of his laptop, then his door burst open.
‘I didn’t lock the door? He thought as he stared at his mom and dad who were standing at the door.
“Welcome.. he said and faced his laptop.
“Have you eaten? His mom asked and he only nodded
“I came to check if you were still reading.. Xue, his dad asked and his ( Ryan’s) hands stopped moving
“Is this all you want from me? Reading my life out each day?” He spoke up, looking at his dad.
“Yes, that’s what I want. If not because you told me not to tell anyone you were my son and the heir to Evergreen college, I would have done so a long time ago. You just have to Read and read so you could always be at the top”
“But dad….
“No but Ryan, you’re going to do as I say.. his dad cut in sternly and with that, him and his wife left the room
“Honey, don’t you think you’re being too hard on him? I don’t like it.. Leyan said.
“You don’t have to. So far I’m his father, I know what’s best for him.. Xue replied before walking into his room leaving his wife behind

Ryan sat, staring at his laptop blankly. So many things were going through his head. He closed his eyes then open them back.
It seems he was going Crazy that moment. His eyes were already getting itchy and blurry. He blinked his eyes rapidly so to adjust the blurry vision.
His eyes became clear minutes later and he walked to the bathroom to wash his head because it had started spinning greatly
He got to the bathroom and stared at himself in the mirror.
“Ryan when did you Become like this?” Li Shu asked
He was actually seeing Li Shu in the mirror
“You’re just my illusion.. I’m hallucinating” he thought and closed his eyes. He opened them back and saw no one.
He sigh and bend his head a little to wash his face when his nose started to bleed nonstop.
It continued like that for minutes but later stopped. He flushed out the blood and washed his face.
“What was that? He wondered wiping his face. But it seems after the bleeding, his head stopped spinning
