Earlier..
“What!” Anna’s eyes bulged out of their sockets.
“Why do you see surprised? You haven’t seen your brother in weeks.” Tracy frowned.
“But mum, two months! What kind of $h00t is that?” Anna asked pulling at her hair.
“It’s for the upcoming LAGOON movie I’m staring with Leonardo DiCaprio.” Tracy said excitedly.
“Really!” Anna screamed. She thought the movie has been put on hold due to Leonardo’s accident a month ago.
“Yes. Leonardo said he’s strong enough to $h00t the movie so the directors arranged for it to be shot in Havannia.
“That’s great mum. I’ll take Evan with me then. Just do good okay? I’m proud of you.” Anna smiled sheepishly.
“Thank you honey. I’ll be sending him now-“.
“Wait now!” Anna’s eyes widened again.
“Is there a problem? I’ll be leaving tomorrow morning so I thought it’s best I send him now.”
“Umm, okay sure. There’s no problem.” Anna sighed falling on the bed.
“Okay honey, love you..muah!” Tracy blew a kiss at her phone before ending the call.
“Oh come on!. Leonardo why couldn’t you just wait till I’m back from my quiz trip!” Anna scolded no one in particular.
She sighed leaving the room to look for Swayer. She came downstairs and saw Swayer coming in from the back door.
“Thanks a bunch Sway. Where are you going?” She asked giving Swayer back her phone.
“I’m just gonna check on Chrystal. Maeve and Ivory are outside.” Swayer said walking towards the stairs.
Anna shrugged, walking to the door but paused as she noticed Ivory and Maeve were having a private conversation.
‘Should I just go back upstairs?’ She asked herself, shifting to a corner to avoid being seen.
“Wait!” Ivory called Maeve back. She’s still processing what Maeve just said.
Maeve looked at her waiting for what she has to say.
“You like Seb too?” Ivory asked carefully.
“Like I said, let’s not hurt Swayer.” Maeve replied, walking inside.
Anna hide herself at the back of the large flower pot as Maeve walked away. She was about coming out but heard the door opening again so she remained there until Ivory climed the stairs.
She sighed coming out of her hiding spot.
“Wait, Maeve and Ivory….like … Sebastian?”
NEXT DAY
SALVATORE ACADEMY
Anna sighed as she dragged her stubborn brother with her.
“I’m not a kid anymore sis. Just let me go.” Evan kept whining.
“I know that. I’m not even supposed to bring you with me but since we are not having any classes today, I prefer you stay with me so I can keep my eyes on you.” She said smiling a bit. Evan frowned, following obediently.
Fabiola came out of the ladies room and spotted Anna with a kid.
She immediately approached Anna.
“Anna!” She called waving her hand.
Anna smiled as she waited for Fabiola to come closer.
“Good morning.” Evan greeted the moment Fabiola approached them.
“Well aren’t you charming?” Fabiola smiled at Evan.
“He’s my brother.” Anna said even before Fabiola could ask.
“Oh, well okay. Baby told me I’m gonna be staying with you from today. I’ve already packed up my things.” Fabiola sighed.
“What’s wrong?” Anna asked and Fabiola looked up at her.
Last night with Natasha wasn’t funny.
LAST NIGHT..
Fabiola waved at Sebastian as he walked away from the building. He had called her to meet him up at the library after leaving the FAMICS apartment as he already knew they would agree.
He informed her of her moving in with the FAMICS and insisted on walking her back to the hostel.
She turned around sighing as she knew she’s in for a night of argument with Natasha.
She lazily climbed the stairs and when she got to their room, she exhaled heavily before opening the door.
Natasha sat on the bed with her legs crossed. She’s been waiting for Fabiola to come in.
“Hi.” Fabiola said dryly
“Hi? Is that all you can say?” Natasha glared at her.
“I’m not in the mood for this Tasha.” Fabiola sighed.
“Well I am!” Natasha said walking up to her.
“How could you do this to me? How could you stab me in the back like this?”
“Excuse you? I didn’t stab anyone in the back. Please be specific.” Fabiola frowned.
“Oh you know what I’m talking about! Shaun! You know Shaun is my best friend and you went ahead to date him.” Natasha fumed
“Can you hear yourself right now? Shaun is your best friend! Best friend! and not boyfriend so watch your words carefully.” Fabiola rolled her eyes, walking intot the bathroom. Natasha followed her.
“You’ve barely known him two weeks and you already like him?”
Fabiola took off her top before facing Natasha.
“At least I waited two weeks unlike you that confessed your feelings for my brother after a few days of meeting him.” She chuckled, taking off her shorts.
“Can I have my bath in peace please? We can talk about this when I’m out.” She sighed removing her underwear.
“That is different. Shaun confessed to me not long ago and now he’s dating you? I don’t get it.” Natasha said ignoring her plea.
“What don’t you get? You rejected him and now he’s with me.” Fabiola sighed, entering the bathtub.
“I didn’t reject him, I just…” Natasha bit her lips not knowing what to say.
“Natasha please I want to bath in a quiet environment.” Fabiola said shutting her eyes.
“I…I’m just worried. I don’t want him to get hurt.” Natasha said ignoring Fabiola’s earlier statement again.
Fabiola laughed sarcastically.
“Really? You don’t want him to get hurt like you hurt him already?” She asked glaring at Natasha.
“I didn’t mean to hurt him. He’s been my best friend for too long and I never thought he actually has feeling for me.”
“Had.” Fabiola corrected.
“Huh?” Natasha furrowed her brows.
“He had feeling for you, not anymore. He’s my boyfriend now and I’ll appreciate if you just accept that.” Fabiola said coldly.
Natasha glared at her, not knowing what to say anymore.
She left the bathroom, picking up her phone on the bed.
She dialed Shaun’s line but he didn’t pick so she decided to send him a text message.
*Hi I missed you* She erased it and typed another
*Can you please not ignore me* She erased it and typed again
*Can we talk* She erased it again, throwing her phone on the bed.
She picked it up seconds later and sent a simple “Hi” hoping that he would reply.
After about 20 minutes, Fabiola came out of the bathroom, wearing a blue robe. She slipped into her nightgown, falling heavily on the bed.
Her phone beeped and she received a text message from Shaun.
*Natasha messaged me. Is everything alright there?*
She glared at Natasha who had her back to her.
An idea popped up and she smiled wickedly.
She immediately called Shaun and he picked after the second ring.
“Hey babe.” She said audibly for Natasha to hear and Natasha forced herself not to turn.
“I miss you already. Don’t tell me you’re sleeping?” Fabiola asked the confused Shaun.
“Um what’s going on?” Shaun asked not sure if this is acting or real. Sebastian is in the room and he didn’t want to start answering query from him.
“I really wish girls were allowed to sleep at the boys hostel, I really want to spend the night with you.” Fabiola said twirling her hair with her index finger.
Natasha turned around immediately. Fabiola smiled satisfactory.
Shaun on the other hand just held his phone not knowing what to say. He’s sure Sebastian is listening even though hes holding that book over his face and he didn’t want to make it known he’s on the phone with Fabiola. What is she doing exactly?
“Babe are you there?” Fabiola called when Shaun didn’t reply.
“I have to go now. Goodnight.” Shaun said ending the call immediately. He turned his back to Sebastian, not wanting to know if he was listening or not.
Sebastian brought down the book and smiled.
“You don’t have to pretend Shaun. I know it’s my sister you’re talking to.” Seb chuckled.
Shaun turned around slowly.
“This is really awkward.” He sighed, wiping the beads of sweat on his forehead.
“As long as you don’t hurt my sister, I’m not against your relationship.” Seb said raising his book to his face again.
“Okay babe, love you! Muah!” Fabiola faked to still be on the phone with Shaun before dropping her phone.
Natasha shut her eyes, turning back. She picked up her phone but still no response from Shaun.
She sighed sadly, forcing herself to sleep.
NOW..
“Nothing is wrong actually. I just didn’t sleep well.” Fabiola replied.
“Oh well Swayer would be picking you up this afternoon so no need to worry, you’ll be sleeping peacefully from now on.” Anna smiled.
“Thank you.” Faby smiled.
“I need to get going now.” Anna waved walking away.
Fabiola sighed turning around as well. She went into the basketball court as it’s her meeting place with Shaun.
She was shocked to see him there with Natasha.
“What’s going on?” She frowned, folding her arms across her chest.
Shaun turned to her but Natasha kept looking at him. She had seen him coming in here earlier and decided to follow him so they could talk.
“Morning babe.” Shaun smiled and made to kiss her but she turned her face to the other side.
“I asked a question.” Fabiola said glaring at Natasha.
“That he’s your boyfriend now doesn’t mean he’s no longer my best friend okay?” Natasha said with a frown.
“I wasn’t asking you for your opinion.” Fabiola said facing shaun.
“We were just talking.” Shaun smiled.
“Wh@ťěver.” Fabiola rolled her eyes, turning towards the door.
“Wait babe.” Shaun called but she didn’t turn back till she walked out of the place.
Shaun faced Natasha.
“You wanted to talk?” He asked
“Aren’t you going to go after her? She seems angry.” Natasha smiled sadly. Shaun held her face, making her look up to him.
He’s starting to h@ťě this idea as it’s hurting Natasha. He doesn’t want to hurt her and he would end this if he sees it’s not working.
“What’s wrong?” He asked using his thumb to caress her cheek. Natasha shut her eyes sadly, opening them seconds later.
“I messaged you last night, you did reply.” She sighed. “You never ignore my messages and I just felt alone.” She added.
“I’m sorry.” Shaun muttered.
“You don’t have to apologize. You have a girlfriend now and you need to give her more attention. It only hurts because you’re the only friend I have and now that you’re giving someone else that attention, I feel like I have no one else.”
“Don’t say that. Having a girlfriend doesn’t mean you can’t come to me whenever you need me. I’m sorry I didn’t reply you yesterday, it won’t happen again.” Shaun said pulling her in for a hug.
Fabiola folded her fingers into a fist. She’s been waiting for Shaun to come after her but when he didn’t, she decided to peek at them.
“What is she trying to do, steal my boyfriend as well?” Fabiola muttered but then realization struck her.
“He’s not really my boyfriend. All the kisses and hugs are just act. He’s doing this in the first place to get Natasha so why is she getting mad at Natasha? This is the result they were hoping for and now that it’s working, why is she feeling angry?
