Student were crowded around the score board, checking their scores for the welcome back test. FAMICS walked into the hall and everyone cleared a path for them but the look on students faces is a mocking one.
None of the girls understood why people were looking at them that way till the got to the score board.

They were still the highest amongst all students except one. Their eyes widened when they saw the name on the number one section.

Now they understood why students were looking at them that way because for the first time in five years, someone actually toped the FAMICS.
Swayer smiled internally as she always knew Sebastian to be a smart guy.
“Looks like the FAMICS are loosing their touch.” Kyle mocked looking at the score board. All six girls glared at at a stretch and he raised his hands in surrender.
“This is really bad.” Ivory said shaking her head.
“Why? I’m actually happy for him.” Swayer smiled.
“Of course you’re happy for him! You f_cking like him!” Chrystal snapped.
“Hey calm down, it’s not as bad as it seems.” Anna said smiling at Swayer and she smiled back. They both reconciled at the swim building.
“Since when has anyone ever toped us, we are really loosing our touch.” Fiona said worriedly.
“You girls are worrying over nothing. Sebastian is our friend isn’t he, we should be happy he’s smart like us.” Swayer smiled.
“Well If you can’t beat em, join em.” Maeve said with a poker face.
“What are you suggesting?” Ivory said and all girls faced Maeve.
“Sebastian is cool. It won’t hurt to add him to the crew.” Maeve shrugged.
“Are you crazy! Add him to which crew! What are we going to answer then, FAMICSTIAN?!” Chrystal snapped.
“Oh screw the d@mn name. Maeve is right. Besides, he’s here on scholarship and if we don’t protect him, those jerks will make his life a leaving hell.” Swayer said with a frown.
“I do like the guy. He seems nice and caring especially towards Swayer.” Anna said.
“Speak of the devil.” Chrystal rolled her eyes, glancing at Sebastian as he entered the hall.
“Sebastian you’re so brilliant. No one has ever toped the FAMICS before.”
“He’s really hot, too bad his family are poor.”
“Hey Sebastian, you’re part of the nerds now.”
People kept throwing comments at him the moment he entered the hall. He went over to the score board and smiled upon seeing his grade. He also smiled seeing that Swayer is second. He turned around and meet them staring at him…well most of them.
He smiled at them but only Swayer smiled back, waving at him.
Chrystal glared at him and walked away along with the rest.
Swayer sighed as she couldn’t understand why this is such a big deal for them.
She walked over to Sebastian.
“Hey genius. Congratulations.” She smiled sweetly.
“You too. You did good.”
“I was thinking, do you mind studying with us after school today, we do that every day at the library or sometimes our apartment.” Swayer smiled
“I don’t think I’m welcomed. The girls didn’t seem very happy that I toped the..”
“Oh please, just ignore them. They will come around and besides, we could use a genius like you.” Swayer smiled. she couldn’t even understand why she’s smiling so much.
“You look better today. I’m guessing your strength is back.” Sebastian smiled at her.
Natasha checked her score on the board and as usual she got a B+. 69. Since she stopped hanging out with Swayer, she hasn’t been able to get an A on anything. She checked for Shaun’s score and he had 76. She smiled as she is happy her best friend is doing well.
She searched for Sebastian next and almost choked on her saliva on seeing he actually toped the FAMICS.
She smiled and turned around only to see him talking with Swayer. Her smiles disappeared immediately and she walked up to them.
“Hey Sebastian.” She smiled the moment he turned to her. She avoided looking at Swayer as she knew she would just end up glaring at her. She didn’t want to act bad Infront of Sebastian again.
“Hey, did you check your score?” Sebastian asked.
“Yeah but mines not important. I can’t believe you toped the FAMICS. You’re so brilliant.” She grinned from ear to ear.
“I think I’ll get going now.” Swayer said as she needed to make an important phone call.
“I also need to go, let’s go together.” Sebastian said but Natasha grabbed his hand.
“Can we talk please, it’s important.” She said. Sebastian looked at Swayer and she smiled giving him a go ahead nod.
She turned around to leave and her smiled changed into a glare without her knowledge.

“Are you going to tell her tonight?” Brianna asked Brian as he paced around the room.
He’s been thinking of a way to tell Chrystal about her mom but no idea. He decided to call her to the house rather than telling her over the phone but he just couldn’t dial her number.
“Brian! I’m talking to you.” Brianna frowned. Brian looked at her immediately with an apologetic look.
“You can’t keep doing this to yourself. Just tell her already and have peace of mind. She’s not a kid anymore and will understand that you’re not going to give up on her like that.” Brianna smiled slightly.
Brian nodded and picked up his phone. He exhaled before pressing the dial button. The phone rang the first time with no answer but Chrystal picked the second time.
“Dad!” She said excitedly.
“Hi darling. How are you doing.”
“I’m great! Are you back already?” Chrystal asked.
“Yes I came back some days ago. I wanted to call you earlier but…”
“You did now so don’t worry. How are you doing?” Chrystal asked smiling sweetly. Her dad is the only one that can get her smiling like this. She loves him more than anything in the world.
“I’m fine baby. Could you come to the house today, it’s urgent.” Brian went straight to the point as Brianna has been giving him the go ahead already face.
“Sure dad, I just want to see you so badly. I love you!” Chrystal said blowing kisses to her phone.
“I love you too darling.” Brian said before ending the call. He looked at Brianna helplessly and she just smiled at him.

“So, what do you want to talk about?” Sebastian asked Natasha. They were in an empty classroom.
“I…I know we’ve only been friends for few days now and it may sound creepy to say this but I…” Natasha tailed off as Sebastian’s phone rang. He brought it out from his jeans and it’s Fabiola’s calling.
“Hey Sugar.” He said with a smile and Natasha widened her eyes in shock.
‘Does he already have a girlfriend?’ She thought feeling hurt already.
“Baby! I’m sorry if I’m bothering right now but we never finished our conversation yesterday.” Fabiola pouted her lips even though she knows Sebastian won’t see her.
“Sugar this isn’t really a good ti…”
“Come outside!” Fabiola yelled excitedly.
“What?” Sebastian furrowed his brow.
“I said come outside. I’m outside the school building!”
“What! What are you doing here?!” Sebastian asked, leaving the classroom immediately. He actually forgot he was talking with someone before now as he’s focus now is on Fabiola.
Natasha stood there still shocked by what just happened. She had decided to tell Sebastian how she really feels about him but hearing this now and seeing the way he left her there, it only broke her heart. she felt like a fool indeed.

Ivory entered the ladies room to reapply her makeup when she heard sad sobs coming from the last cubicle.
She frowned a bit as she didn’t think anyone is in. She decided to ignore it and continue applying her makeup but the sobs didn’t stop. She rolled her eyes, putting her lips gloss in her purse and walked towards the cubicle.
“Are you okay in there?” She asked and the sob stopped immediately.
“I..Ivory?” Fiona called and Ivory immediately opened the door. She widened her eyes as she saw Fiona’s swollen eyes.
“W-what what’s going on?” She stuttered as she felt perplexed. Just a moment ago Fiona was smiling and then now she here, crying her eyes out?
“It..it’s Caleb..” Fiona continued her sob and Ivory hugged her tight.
“I’m really sorry sweetie. How did he die?” Ivory asked and Fiona pushed her away immediately.
“What the f_ck Ivory!” Fiona yelled.
“What did I do wrong?” Ivory asked feeling confused. Didn’t he die? Isn’t that why she’s crying?
“How could you think that way!” Fiona snapped, getting off the toilet seat. She pushed Ivory aside and went to the sink to wash her hand.
“I’m sorry I thought that’s why you’re crying. If he didn’t die, then why are you crying so much?” Ivory asked feeling stupid.
“He broke up with me.”
