It was on our way that dad told us that the informant he placed on chief just called him now that chief is about traveling out of the state and from there he will travel out of the country

After giving dad the old man’s address in one of dad’s investigatory days, he took me and the rest of the family along so that he will be certain if I can identify the house when I sees it and I confirmed it to them that very day

I and everyone kept praying that God should delay that old man a little so that we will get to his house before he travels and as God may have, as soon as we were approaching very close to the gate

The old man barked and brought out his phone to make call but striker snatched it from him immediately. Now move! he commanded
I can hear the dogs barking continuously maybe because of the noise outside, remembering the size of the dogs sent fear unto me, I just pray they are in their cage or chained.

You! the old man exclaimed pointing at dad and took to his heels, he ran into his compound, captain striker wanted to run after him but dad stopped him.
Not all dogs you chase after or else you will get injured at the process and the dog will still escape but when you use strategies you will capture him effortlessly. He is a wørthless man don’t waste your strength running after him, dad said to captain striker
Dad smiled and tapped captain striker on his shoulder, then motioned him to go ahead and open the gate, he saluted and walked towards the gate and we all followed suit
There was a loud scream from inside and that was the old man’s voice, we quickly entered inside and saw him on the floor while one of dog that cut from his chain is feasting on him very close to the step
I guess he wanted to run upstairs but was grabbed by his dog who didn’t recognized him at that point in time
The dog has really dealt with the old man mercilessly that he couldn’t even fight it anymore.
I closed my eyes in fear as I remembered when he thr_@tened to feed me to his dogs several times that very horrible night. I felt goosebumps all over me and I hugged mum very tight shading tears, it’s a pathêthic sight to behold.
Hey you! dad called on the dog distracting him from biting the old man.
Immediately the dog saw us, he started running towards us to launch an attack on us
Shøot him! dad commanded
Two soldiers fired at him twice and he cried out in pains before crashing to the ground with a loud thud.
It’s a giant dog, it groaned for sometime before finally kicking the bucket
The old man was badly injured, one of his hands was eaten up by his dog, no more flesh just his bones can be seen. I vomited just looking at his ripped off body
Dad already called an ambulance and they arrived in a short while, he was carried inside the ambulance.
Bro Kingsley collected the old man’s phone from captain striker and tried unlocking it but it needed the old man’s finger print to unlock so he quickly collected a glove from the ambulance nurse and then held chief’s finger to unlock the phone and it worked.
Bro Kingsley did few things with the phone, according to him, he said he is removing the password permanently so that it will not lock again because the need information from it
Finally the old man was carried away as he groans and cries in pains during his first aid treatment in the ambulance
Will he survive mum? I asked feeling kinda sorry for him
I doubt my child, his chances of survival is very tiny except it’s by miracle, then he will.
Mum replied patting my shoulder gently.
It’s a pity and very horriblë, I said shaking my head.
