Rebecca POV
“Rebecca??” Suliyin my Chinese friend that was sitting beside me with another guy
“ni meisha ma??” the guy asked me, because after my graduation I finally gave blind date a thought
“Rebecca?? What’sup with you? She asked me in English
“I really don’t know what is wrong with me I don’t want to date again”
Suliyin took her bag and left me there angrily
It has really been a tough journey so far, I cannot but remember that day that Ian came to our school, that unblissful evening when the rave Gravity Girls came to bully me, that bright morning when Finn Helena came to our school, that afternoon when I saw my mum in the bus terminal. For that past one year I have been through a lot, the one year of the most memorable and unfavourable occurrence of my Life.
After our graduation, and dads death Ian’s dad took him out of Los Angeles and same with Judy and Ricco.
Tessy Ken, My Sister even though we’re not of thesame blood is a shadow of her formal self after she knew that Mr Ken is not her father and. Not even my dad. I was Also sad since I realized that I should not be Rebecca Ken but Rebecca Paragon.
The house became more and more boring, Mum and Dan left Los Angeles for Africa to stay with her brother and his family.
I decided to pursue my education I traveled to china.
“Yo’ Rebecca let’s go to party tonight” Suliyin said
I studied Computer science, I became one of the top hackers and programmers in china. During the course of my education, Tessy visits me once in a while and mum also visit too. I have no news regarding Ricco and Judy and Gravity Girls. It’s like social media forgot about them.
I decided to settle down in Beingin China for some time, but this time I was 25 years old. I wonder how others are.
Liyin is the first person I interacted with when I was still in Beingin international University. We lives to together and do as if we are sisters, whenever I was with her I remembered Tessy, Gravity Girls and Rocket gang and finally Judy.
Judy and I spoke on phone once in a while, she told me her family had relocated to Africa and since I left at the airport we never see again.
I heard different news, Carina and Regina Is now a world wide singer, while Angela became an actress.
I received a lot of marriage proposals from different guys, but once beaten twice a shy, it’s not easy.
I looked at Liyin selecting the dress we are going to wear to the night party she remembered me of Judy and Tessy. My la posh la Gaga friends. We went to the party we sat down drinking, soft music Memory Marron 5 team played at the background, the Marron 5 team remembered me of Gravity Girls.

I don’t hear from Ian again maybe he finally agreed to marry Helena I don’t hear from Ricco again I now realize the meaning of the adage… 20 children cannot play for 20 years indeed its true.
“Yah’ let’s choose this ” liyin said as we walked through the popular AEON shopping mall, Shopping has been one of my past times here. We brought different clothes, we tested some and dump some, then all of a sudden, I noticed that the people in the Mall all headed to one direction.
“What’s going on?? I asked a passing man
” Carina Carter taquilala” he said in a Chinese accent (taquilala means arrived)
” What Carina Carter ?? I rushed to the direction and there is my La posh La gaga babe, Carina Carter of Gravity Girls waving at everyone as she walked to the VIP side of the mall. I rushed after her, her bodyguards didn’t allow me near her but I shouted
“Carina its me Rebecca”
She looked back our eyes locked for moment 😧
“Rebecca Ken?? She asked
” Yes did i change that much?? I asked as her body guard make way for us to pass.
“Rebecca where have you been? She asked
” After my dad’s death I came here to further my education
“Humm it had been a tough journey do far, after our high school, My father sponsored me to release my first single song and with that, I won Grammy awards” Carina explained
“Indeed, what of others?? Did you hear from your friends?? I asked
“Angela Is an actress, Mary is also a rapper, and Mimi is now the queen of casita.
“It’s okay Whatsupp with you?? I saw your sister’s advert she is now a big time model we meet once in a while” Carina expressed
“I’m a computer hacker and programmer did you hear from Ian?”
” Well I don’t, since my award I have been busy, traveling and touring around the world, going to shows and live concerts it’s tough” she replied
“why are you in Beingin? I asked
“I came for live concert, its tomorrow, Senwell Hotel, 22:00Pm they will be hosting Carina Carter”
Carina and I exchanged contacts and she went away.

“Miss Ken pls…. we really need you to go there, our agents there are really having hard times with those cybercriminals” Mr. Gu the CEO of the company I work for is telling me to go to the company branch in Los Angeles…..
“Boss! Cant it be somewhere else?? I don’t want to go to Los Angeles”

Going back to Los Angeles will really be difficult, I have a lot of memories there….. if I leave for casita then mum and Dan will have to leave Africa then….
I sighed looking at the letter on my desk. I am the only hope for the company now, cybercriminals are rampant in casita these day and we hackers and programmers have a lot of work to do on that. The problem isn’t doing it because I can as well have free accommodation, Tessy is there and money is not the issue…. The problem is the location… why must it be Los Angeles?? Not Illinois not anywhere else
I have had more than one reasons to go there but I’ve always ignored it now fate has decided to mock me and bring this plague to my doorstep. I cant help but think about ki||ian . I wonder how his life had been…….

I had to let go of the past like she said but how? What if I met Ian there? Well I have to leave for Los Angeles by tomorrow.
>LOS ANGELES CALIFORNIA, KEN’S MANSION< “Guess who?” A feminine voice said blindfolding me as I sat under the little straw thatched shed reading and sipping some ice tea. “Ummm,…..I’m not so good at guessing so show yourself or I’ll shove you off” I said in my arrogance self “ooops… the Rebecca Ken I know will never change” the stranger said huffing “SURPRISE!” the voice yelled releasing me. I spun and my eyes widened in surprise as a pair of brown eyes stared back at me. “VIVIAN DANIEL……is this you?” I said in shock “no its Cardi B” she said giving me one of those sarcastic comments of hers and I laughed standing to embrace her. Vivian was my elementary school classmate, she attended PARAGON High with me and Judy for 2 years before she traveled also a distant family friend. She was with us before the death of her guardian then she left for America to live with her parents since then we never met again not until today I don’t know she would recognize me so easily and she didn’t even chage that much, still the segzy Vivian that I know “oh Vivian darling I missed you what have you been up to for the past few years” I asked resting my chin in my palms “you are looking at one of the best Doctor in town baby” she said flipping her hair stylishly. “no way” I said excitedly “believe it or not sweetie how have you been? Tell me about your boyfriend” I asked “Ohh…. My baby is a celebrity, he works at JYC publishing company he is handsome….. “did you just say JYC?? I asked “yes whatsup with it?? She asked “wow😊 that’s my first company of assignment” I said “my boyfriend is the……………” her phone rang “hello ….yes….ohh…I will be there..” she said on the phone quickly and stood up “babe I got to go, there is an emergency at the hospital…..don’t forget to chat me up and also send me Judy’s Mobile” she said running off TBC Are you seeing what I am seeing?
