CHAPTER THIRTY ONE
Claire kept on starring at the man sitting just a distance away. He too was starring at her but when the green light was turned on. He drove off.
Claire closed her eyes and opened it back. trying to make sense of what she just saw.
How can it be? Andrew died. She saw the monitor going off and they even buried him. She thought.
It cant be him. Andrew died. Its just an illusion. She has been wishing to see him again and that happened right here. She need to get some drugs for Hallucination. She thought as the car stopped right in front Bradford international.
They were urshered to the elevator and all through the way, all Claire could think of was what she saw.
They were invited to a room and while She tried to pay attention to what Susan was saying. She couldn’t stop herself from remembering the guy at the traffic jam.
“The boss is being held by a meeting but as soon as he finish. He will come see you”The assistant assured them.
“Try to be patient with her. I don’t want you two fighting”Susan said as soon as the assistant left .
“Don’t worry. We are not some little kids who can’t control our selves and I wont put your scholarship in jeopardy. Let’s just hope she agree on my suggestion for you “Claire said as they heard the door open.
She stood up. A smile plastered on her face as she waited for the boss of Bradford international to show up only to be stunned at seeing him again.
Its the same guy she had seen in the car. The same one who looks so much like Andrew . She thought as she watch him smile while introducing himself.
“Hello. Am Jack Bradford. The owner of Bradford international”He said.
The same voice. The same smile. The same radiance. Andrew is back . She thought as she walked the short paces that separated them.
“I think I saw you at the traffic jam earlier”he said as he stared at Claire who eyes were now filled with tears.
He stood still when she moved towards him. Putting a hand on his cheek, while she gaze at him in a loving way.
“I can’t believe it”She said softly still starring at him.
“I really can’t believe it”She muttered again as she put her hand on his other cheek.
She didn’t get the chance to say another word because she fell right into his arms. Losing consciousness.

“Its just a little dizziness and also she needs more food. I already prescribe the drugs needed. Just get it for her”
Claire heard a man saying and she wondered where she was.
“I will do that doctor. Thank you”
She heard another voice and smiled softly. She was at home with Andrew. She wondered why he had called for a doctor. She opened her eyes expecting to find herself in the room she shared with Andrew but it wasn’t. She was in a hotel. A hotel which she could tell cost a little fortune.
Reality hit her then. She wasn’t staying at the Watson Villa and it has been Three years since Andrew death. She curled up on the bed as fresh tears thr_@tened to pour.
“Are you okay Mrs” she heard Jack saying and she looked up to stare at him.
He looked so much like Andrew but Andrew never look at her in that way. Andrew eyes was always filled with warmth while his were cold and Aloof.
“I am”she returned as she sat up quickly. Wiping the moisture away from her eyes.
“Hope am not making you uncomfortable. I heard from Susan that you were married but your husband died three years ago. Am sorry if I seem forward. I had to know If I want to understand you better”he said.
“Thank you for worrying about me and am not uncomfortable around you. Its just…just that you look like someone I knew”She replied looking away from him.
“Have heard that a lot”He replied giving her a smile.
“What about Susan?”She asked quickly not liking the fact that she is alone with him.
“She has been taken to the restaurant to eat. I ordered it for her but judging that you have not been eating. I think it’s best that we join her too”
“You don’t have to worry and besides am not hungry”She said only for her stomach to growl out loud.
“I think that it is crying out for food”He said with a smile on his face.
“I think we should talk about Susan here and……”
“Let’s eat something first. After that we will talk more”he suggested as he began to head to the door to open it for her.
“Mr Bradford?”She called softly and he turned to stare at her.
“Can I ask you something?”She asked and he nodded.
“Did you ever live in Australia?”She asked and he thought about it before replying.
“No. Though have been to other countries for business. I haven’t been to Australia yet”He added looking sheepish.
“One more question Mr Bradford”She said again and he waited for her to ask.
“Were you born here?”She asked
“Lived here all my life. Don’t think I can ever trade Singapore for anywhere else”he replied gently.
Nodding in reply. She followed him out of the suite.
