CHAPTER 21
Then Mara ran forward, propelled by something stronger than herself. Run and fling herself into the sunlit sapphire water. She would follow him, she must reach him.
It took almost 30 minutes for the sailors on site noticed that some one fell into the water.
There was roaring in Mara’s ears, a chocking in her throat; the sun blinded her, she felt hands pull her back but she screamed desperately:
“No…no… Xavier…. Stop that ship… Stop ship!”
Soon the crowd had gathered around her because she fainted, an accident the or suicide? Who knew? Soon some people fight thier way through the crowd they claimed they knew her.
“She’s our friend, stop that ship her husband is there” Angela shouted
Dawn as others quickly take Mara to thier car while Angela and Celine waited at the seaside.
“Sir can you pls stop that ship? Her husband is trapped there” Angela said again
“The ship can never turn back, call your people that are there to take another ship back when the landed at Cape Town” The sailor said. Yes it was true, the ship can’t turn back unless Xavier took another ship back when they had landed.
Angela and Celine joined the other in the car. They can’t place a call through, there is usually no network in the ship.

(IN THE SHIP)
a party was going on in another deck, in thier own deck, he sat like a statute but moving, even though the noise upstairs is annoying, he can’t join the party, he’s in no mood for party.
After the Rhodesian castle ship took off from Los Angeles to Cape Town, that was when Xavier regretted his actions, he should have go after her, he should have go and verify for himself whether it’s true or not but he blindly followed Rose.
“I am sorry Mara, I am so sorry I fell for her words, I am sorry I didn’t find out the truth”He said remorsefully so she came in.
“Hello darling, let’s join the party it’s rocking” Rose announced happily but he shoved her aside angrily “Hey Rose! Stop it, leave my sight I don’t want to see you for now” He said angrily
Rose was astonished, isn’t he thesame man that asked her to marry him ? “Xavier why are you doing this? It’s our honeymoon so let’s enjoy it, okay what if I kisses you? She asked walking seducively in front of him.
Xavier stood her up angrily “I told you Roseanne, let me be for now, didn’t I ask you to marry me? Then I am now telling you that I am not marrying again! Mara is my wife I think I made the most terrible mistake of my life but marrying you”He shouted.
“But why Xavier, we’re married are you thinking of Mara again? That little wack job cheated on you an you’re still thinking of her? C’mon Xavier I am now your wife” She replied
Xavier kept quiet and left her to the pavement so that he could go see the cool night sea “Mara….how I wish you’re here, how I wish desperately this could be you… I made a mistake but I am promising you that I’ll come back immediately the ship lands at Cape Town” he said to the sill night.
Rose returned to the ship after hearing what he said to the night breeze….. “So it was indeed Mara, that bastard indeed make you Weaver, no problems I’ll do my part! She said and go back to enjoy the party.
After some time, Xavier returned the room abd laid peacefully on the bed, he didn’t care where Rose went to or nit just then a waiter came in “Hello sir, I was passing by and saw you tired have a drink sir” The waiter said
“No thanks I am okay and I don’t drink hot drinks” He replied
The waiter pressed on further “oh no, it’s not hot drink, it’s just juice its our job to satisfy all our customers” He said giving him a cup of orange juice. Grudgingly Xavier drank it all in one gulp, then laid back on the bed. The waiter smiled when he saw this then made High five with someone- ROSEANNE!
Rose slipped some cash In his chest pocket and walked gingerly to the room, Xavier’s head was spinning he looked up and saw “Mara… No Rose… Yes.. Mara…. no rose” it was hallucinations, he didn’t get anything right, his eyes were dancing around.
He could feel is Adam’s apple raising it’s head as Rose played with it and ….. And….

Mara woke up sweating profusely, she saw her friends in another bed, Angela, Lisa and Celine in one bed while Charles was in another bed no sigh of Dawn.
Mara smiled sadly, her friends that had always being with her since her darkest time is here with her again too. And Celine, that spoilt girl that she loathed is also there too probably because of her boyfriend.
Mara looked at them sadly again and said “I am sorry guys I am really sorry, if I had told you all when this problem started then we would have found a solution to it together but I did it my way and failed and here you are still taking care of me”
“Don’t blame yourself, you only did everything because of your love, and in love one can do anything” She heard that familiar voice behind her and it was Dawn.
She quickly hugged him briefly, Dawn who once had a crush for her too is here to take care of her, he was wearing jogging pants but he had some fruits in his hands.
“Where did you go so early in the morning? She asked
“I go for jogging and I brought some fruits in my way back, they haven’t woke up yet” He said pointing at others.
Mara looked at him and smiled sadly again, “Thank you Dawn, Thank you for being a friend that I can’t be to you, thank you so much” She expressed
Dawn dropped the nylon on the cupboard and held her hand “Listen here Mara, we’re friends and always will till death, when you rejected me I was sad but still I am happy to be your friend, and we’ll help you to fight for your love” He said remorsefully.
Mara smiled “Thanks buddy, did you hear anything from the ship?
“Nothing, there’s no signal on the sea s we have sent a letter to Queen’s hotel where they will head to so of Xavier see the letter he’ll come back immediately”He replied.
Mara smiled again they they heard a yawning sound “Hey! Why are you holding my brothers wife like that?”Celine suddenly asked Making other stirr awake. “Haaa.. is Mara awake? Lisa asked

Xavier woke up at the jingle from the ship bell, he was surprised to find himself naked beside Rose who was also naked. He was surprised that the let out a yell.
Rose woke up too, she acted as if she was unaware of what’s happening “Xavier what happened between us? What did you do to me? She asked innocently but he couldn’t say anything.
He remembered making love with her but how it happened or how it started he can’t explain.
“Rose did… Did… Did I do anything to you? He asked
“If you didn’t do anything why are we both naked? She asked angrily and left for the bathroom but smirked when she was out of his sight. Xavier dropped his head in the pillow and cried bitterly.
“Mara I have made another mistake, I have made the most terrible mistake I hope you never forgive me” He cried.
Xavier also got dressed and they bother left for Queen’s hotel even though Rose acted as if she was angry. The landed at the hotel only fir Xavier to receive letter that Mara came back!
He was happy and turned back from the hotel and made for the dock to board another ship back to Los Angeles…… Rose didn’t bother to ask him why or follow him, she knew what she had done. She spiked his drink last night and make him have segz with her.
After two days Xavier returned……to see his Mara waiting for him….in their house
“Mara I missed you” He cried
“I am sorry Xavier, I lost our baby… I came back to LA but you already left for Cape Town an I couldn’t stop the Rhoadesian castle ship either” She replied
“I am the most sorry person, we’ll make another baby, infact we should make another one Tonight! He said
“No…. Not until after you go back to your seat as the president of our styles and know the true colors of that serpent you called aunt”Mara said determinedly making Xavier confused
“What are you saying? What’s it with my aunt?” He asked
