He was coming from the bar as usual as he always does whenever he leaves work, he was not even in proper control of the company anymore, his aunt is.
Xavier became the shadow of his formal self after Mara left his life abruptly after their marriage. He had spent a deal lot of money looking for her but she’s untraceable.he vividly remembered what she told him on their wedding night….

“Mara why are you doing all these? Are you leaving me? Are you traveling somewhere? Did Rose say anything to you? He had asked
“Don’t worry Xavier, it’s nothing, Rose didn’t say anything, but I am telling you that anything I did was not at anyone’s behest, I did it myself and its for you!
Xavier stopped the car abruptly! Since that night, Mara left the second morning and he never saw her again and he had been asking himself “Why did she leave me, What is it that she did for me? why did she do that for me?”
Since then, he had turned himself to a drunkard, it was a painful memory for him, His parents left him abruptly after departing for someplace and the man that helped him build his company ski||s was also not found anywhere, and now, the first woman he’ll ever love was gone Faraway from him. Her friends tried their best all to no avail. Just then a call came in….
“What’s it? He asked angrily, it was Rose, after Mara suddenly disappeared, she had turned herself to his maid always clinging to him.
“Meet me at your house now, I am here” She commanded.
Xavier hissed harshly and left the spit, very soon he got home and then she tabled her stupid plan.
“I have got some information that Mara might be in Egypt….So I am thinking if going there and verify for you? She asked because it was part of the plan that she’ll help look for Mara but Xavier will eventually fall for her (Rose)
Xavier was not moving, he had heard alot of locations before but all to no avail, so he waved what Rose said away and told her to go look for Mara if she wants not his business.
“Won’t you give me at least a letter for her even if I find her?she asked
“I am sure you won’t find her, I know that you’re not helping me with your full heart, but wh@ťěver you might do, if you find Mara, give her this letter” He said and handed a letter to her, he had always keep that letter to anyone that is in search of Mara in case they found her.
Mara looked at the night sky, it was beautiful and illuminating, she touched her stomach and felt something move, it was her child, she was expecting a baby rather Xavier’s baby.
“You’ll be very happy to know that I am carrying your child. My Mr Neat Psycho” She said and smiled sadly.
She gently took out a photo from her purse, it was Xavier’s photo, she looked at it, a tear escaped her eyes. Even though Mrs Astrid was still giving her different excuse of seeing her father, Mara already know that she was lying.
There’s no father anywhere, but her friends and Xavier is in trouble, for her to ki|| off Mara’s mother then to ki|| Xavier and her friends is not a Small thing.
Just as she was looking at the picture, someone hugged her from behind and she quickly hid the picture and acted along with him.
“Hey, what are you doing here? Did you want my baby to catch cold? Gordon Veriland asked while kissing her neck.
Mara had told him he was the father of her baby, so that she’ll save Xavier, she had no choice than to give in to his silly demands sadly. Sometimes, Mara considered fighting back but it held her back… Her child.
She didn’t want to do anything that will jeopardize it’s life or Xavier’s life. Her phone had been taken away from her, the only way she was contacting her friends was through letters. Gordon Veriland Was also happy to have her around him. Just then Rose arrived….. “Yo Rose is here” Gordon announced but Mara hissed and entered the house
Rose also saw her and hissed loudly and began chatting with Gordon. After some minutes, Mara was sitting at the swinging chair, sadly remembering the love between her and Xavier and how they had consummated their marriage that day. She looked at her left finger, the ring that they had exchanged at the church was there and on her right hand was the ring Gordon gave her.
She didn’t know when Rose sat beside her… “Is that all you can do? Mara the unbeatable fighting goddess? Roe suddenly asked.
Mara jerked ad faced her “Have you decided to start scaring people rather than manipulation? She asked too
“I asked you a question, is that all you can do? You just agreed to Mrs Astrid that easily, is that how much you amounted? After all your bragging? Rose asked again.
“If I really show all of you including Gordon who I really am then you’ll never ever cross paths with someone like me even in your next life”She replied
“Are you that concerned for Xavier or for his baby you’re carrying? She asked making Mara flinched she had been the only person that knows that she was carrying Xavier’s baby meanwhile Rose had read the letter….
“How did you know that, it’s not true? She quickly denied but Rose smirked
“What did you think that woman, I mean Mrs Astrid will do to you if she knows about this? Which mean I am the only one that knows about this and I won’t tell anyone” Rose said
“Really? But why are you willing to keep my secret? Mara suddenly asked
“Because your secret will be useful for me someday, Read that letter, prepare to reply it because I am going back to California tomorrow evening”Rose said and left. Mara rushed to their room, Gordon was not there, still she rushed to the toilet and locked herself there then brought out the letter and read it carefully and gently aloud to herself, the rooms were sound proof so nobody will hear her. The letter reads…..

I didn’t tell you all my secret just to pull my heart out, I didn’t take you to my family just to show you their house, I didn’t love you so much to leave you so soon, I didn’t want to part with you but why did you put me in this shackles of pains and agony?
