I walked into the mansion happily
I got to the door and I suddenly remembered my crazy sister might be around
I twisted the nob gently, I tiptoed gently trying not to make a sound but it seems luck is not on my side
“Where are you coming from?”. She asked leaning on the staircase
“I thought I asked a question”. She said with a voice I haven’t heard before
“Erm…I passed the night at Alex house”. I replied scratching my head
“Then I’ll just call him”. She said bringing out her phone from her bag
“You really don’t have to do that”. I said
“Don’t bother, it’s just for confirmation”. She said while dialing his number
He finally picked but I couldn’t hear what he said
She finally dropped the call descending the stairs case holding a pink cloth
“Thank your star he confirmed it else, don’t let me go there”. She said sternly and I released a breath I never knew I was holding
I walked towards the staircase and the next thing I heard made me froze on a spot
“What a pink pant doing in my office?”. She asked sitting comfortably on the couch raising the pant so high and my skipped a bit
“Erm…… I…. They….. I don’t know”. I stammered
“Oh really. I guess I’ll just check the CCTV footage then”. She said standing up
“Why are you flirting with my workers?”. She asked again and I suddenly became angry

I sat down on the couch in my room going through some files
I won’t be going to the company today because I really need to rest
I checked the time and I realized it’s almost time for the online meeting with the Star Enterprise
I picked up my laptop and I joined the meeting which was about to start
*****THIRTY MINUTES LATER*****
The meeting hasn’t ended when I heard noise coming from the sitting room
Who could be making that loud noise?
I dropped my laptop and stoop up
The meeting is not that important to me and besides Daisy is also in the meeting
I walked out of my room, I walked through the long passage and the noise became so loud that I have to block my ears
I could recognise Goldin’s voice but the other voice sounds so familiar and I wondered who it was
I descended the staircase carefully trying to trace where the voice is coming from
I got to the sitting room and I saw Goldin pulling a female hair and I wondered who it was
“What the f-__-k is going on here?”. I yelled and Goldin let go of the lady’s hair
The lady slowly turned and I froze on the spot

I turned slowly and he froze immediately he saw me
Guess this is an unexpected invitation
I quickly walked towards him with faked tears
I hugged him still crying but he didn’t bother to hug me back
I broke the hug facing him
“Who is this Ɓîtçh?”. I asked pointing at the girl standing looking like a lost child
“I asked a question”. I snapped angrily
“Why are you here?”. He asked and I was shocked to the core

“Are you really asking me that?”. I yelled and he sigh

I went upstairs and luckily for me, I know the way to his room
I walked in without knocking and he didn’t bother to look back
“Hi baby”. I said smiling
“Why didn’t you tell me you’re back”. He asked sand and I smiled
“I just thought of surprising you”. I said hugging him from behind
“Wendy, do you really want this marriage?”. He asked

“Of course I do. Why did you ask?”. I asked resting my head on his back and his sweet cologne filled my nostrils

He removed my hands gently and face me
“I don’t want this marriage”. He said coldly
“Why?”. I asked angrily
“Just tell your dad to cancel the engagement”. He said
“Not when I’m alive will I ask him to do that”. I said and walked out of the room slamming the door
