Chapter 4
Violet POV
Today was one of my best days because I woke up so early this morning even before Mom. She kept looking at me like a ghost or that I had done something wrong.
I chuckled inwardly.
I don’t if if it was because Clover was finally getting to notice me or that he texted me last night but all I know is that that dude was messing with my head.
“Violet… Baby” Mum shouted my name and I hummed.
$h|t thinking of Clover made me carried away when I was cleaning the table and I think Mum noticed.
“Is anything wrong you’re in a good mood today” Mum said and I rolled my eyes. She just don’t understands me.
“Why would something be wrong you said it yourself that I was in a good mood which means I am perfectly fine” I spread my arms smiling but Mum wasn’t getting it.
She was still with those furrowed brows staring at me and I sighed.
“Something is definitely wrong Violet. You’ve never woken up earlier than me, you don’t do the chores at home no matter how I persuade you and to top it all…you made breakfast!” She exclaimed the last part.
She’s totally right on this one. All this things she just said now, I’ve never done any of them before but maybe I just had a change of heart today.
“Eat your breakfast Mummy there’s always a first time for everything” I said and I held her shoulder taking her to sit.
“How am I even sure you cooked this well you’ve never entered the kitchen all your life” Mum eyed me and I laughed.
“Taste it Mum it’s delicious” I urged her. I myself didn’t even tasted what I cooked but I knew that it tasted well.
The aroma was giving and through the YouTube tutorial I added exactly the right things to the food.
Mum scooped a rice mixed with some stew and she put in in her mouth chewing on the food. I watched her expression to know if it was bad but it remained neutral.
She finished the first one and took another. My mind was screaming in joy cause I cooked it right.
If it wasn’t good she would have puked it out not taking another spoonful.
“Come taste it Violet it’s so good” Mum said with her mouth full and I happily sat down dishing some into my plate.
I took a spoon and the moment it entered my mouth I spit it out immediately with my mouth so salty.
There was much salt inside this food. I looked at Mum and she had also puked everything out and she was now laughing at me.
“See what you cooked. This food isn’t meant for a human at all” she shook her head and I suddenly felt rue.
“Mom but I tried my best” I whined and she tapped my back.
“But your best was a total rubbish” She rubbed it on my face.
“You just spoilt my mood. I’m going up to prepare for school” I stormed the stairs going to my room while I heard her still laughing downstairs.
<30 MINUTES LATER>
I was fully prepared for school today to the fact that I added some lipgloss and some pancake on my face . I was trying to look so good today and it was for One person.
Clover……. I guess you all screamed along with me on this.
I left the house and went to wait for Mum in her car. Soon she joined me and we drove off.
In a matter of minutes she dropped me off and waved at me before going to work.
I eye searched for Clover but I couldn’t find him. I giggled before going to my locker to grab my books and check my timetable.
Someone pricked my forehead and I turned angrily to see Ryan grinning at me.
“Someone didn’t complain today” Ryan said and I chuckled.
“I’m tired of always telling not to do that. It’s painful yunno” I said and he rolled his eyes.
“Not like I care”
“Here help me with this” I dropped my books on his hands and then a junior student came to me.
“You’re Violet right?” He asked and I nodded and then he gave me a paper while I raised a brow.
“What’s that?” Ryan asked wanting to know what was in the paper and I unfolded it checking it out.
***COME TO THE SCHOOL ENTRANCE****
That was it. I and Ryan went to the school entrance to check who it was and I looked around. I didn’t see anyone. I wanted to turn my back and go back in…
Then something from up fell directly on me and I looked on my body. I was covered in ketchup. It was like a planned act.
When I looked around I started seeing the whole school all laughing at me some pointing at my face.
At the front was Belinda and her two friends. I caught someone I didn’t expect and it was Clover.
His arms was linked with Belinda as he joined along with everyone to laugh at me.
I wasn’t embarrassed until now I saw him laughing at me. I thought we were finally having something together.
I guess I was wrong. He just toyed with me last night.
