Chapter 30
Violet’s POV
I had already slapped him and I tried saying sorry but he scoffed and stormed out of the class. Like for real he’s really making me frustrated.
He’s comparing me with other girls. Those ones that he slept with and it kinda hurt me. I thought I was different from them in his eyes and he just made it clear to me that I was same as them.
Loving him doesn’t mean I will stoop so low and apologize to him. He was the one who did something wrong and as such he’ve got to apologize.
What he did just now made me leave the class and and I went to the the sports hall and sat beside Penelope at the back.
She didn’t cheerlead today and I wondered why but she was screaming like as if she was actually doing it.
“Thought you said you weren’t going to attend” She said facing me and I nodded sadly.
“What changed your mind, Is it because of your boyfriend” She asked and my eyes widened.
Which boyfriend is she referring to? Or did she find out about Clover. There’s no way that would happen.
“I’m sure you’re surprised how I know but it’s been a bit long and I was kinda surprised when I found and I wanted to advice you about him” Penelope said nonchalantly.
Like it wasn’t some big news.
“Hey chill babe I am not gonna tell anyone especially Ryan, I know he doesn’t like Clover one bit” The way she was spewing the news out of her mouth so easily got me surprised.
I didn’t want anyone to hear us so I dragged her out of the hall till we got to the restroom and then we stopped.
“Okay now you have to start telling me how you found out about all these. You’re making me suspicious about you” I said and she chuckled.
“The other time when you just joined the cheerleading club. I saw Clover going in and I got suspicious so I followed him and I saw how he pulled you to a corner then I guessed something was going on between you both and today I wanted to come back and force you to follow me and I met you both arguing. I fixed the pieces together and boom! ” She laughed and I hit her arm.
“You could have told me yunno it wasn’t good finding out by myself but I am scared Violet. Is Ryan aware” She asked.
“No he’s not” I said.
“Fine so what are you gonna do now that he’s angry with you. I’m talking about Clover” Penelope asked and I rolled my eyes.
“I’m not doing anything Penelope. He can die for all I care” I said and she chuckled silently.
“Okay lover girl can we go back” She asked and I nodded pouting my lips.
Authoress Pov
Candy came to change her clothes because some milkshakes poured on it then she heard Penelope and Violet discussing.
Instead of her to ignore them, she listened to what they were saying and then her eyes widened.
“Clover and Violet are a thing” She muttered to herself.
“Belinda needs to hear about this” She said and quickly ran away without them knowing.
Clover’s POV
I sat on a rock on the rooftop with a stick of cigarette in between my fingers as I smoked from it. Thinking about how Violet slapped me I threw the cigarette to the floor and stepped on it.
“f-__-k ” No girl has ever done that to me even those that I have broken their hearts but she dared slap me.
And then she’s saying her life is none of my business. I scoffed. She is talking like I’m the one always trying to be with her.
Thinking about it. Is what Adrian said right. Am I really falling for her or it’s just some mere attraction.
Then why was I so annoyed about her seeing the new guy. Malcolm or wh@ťěver his name is, I don’t care.
I think it was just some play. I just wanted to excite that little feelings that she had for me but I think it’s the other way round.
I shook my head. This can’t be. I cannot fall for a girl. That’s the last thing I’ll do.
Do I apologize to her or not. Nope she was the one who slapped me. I can’t do that.
Violet POV
I went back home and as I got in, I saw a strange man in my living room. He was looking around and he sat on the couch.
“Hi. Are you a delivery man or something” I asked. Maybe Mum let him in because he made a mistake. It happens sometimes.
“No Violet. I am not a delivery man” He said and it made me crease my brows. Did he just mention my name.
“I thought your Mum already introduced me to you. She told me she did” The moment he said that I frowned and hissed.
“So you’re the one who bewitched my mother to make her like you huh” I said with my hands at akimbo.
“It’s not what you think. We love each other genuinely and I am ready to take care of her” He said and I rolled my eyes.
What bullshit is he saying?
“For your information young man my Mum is still married to my Dad and they never divorced so if my Dad shows up, you’re nothing to her” I said to his face.
“But that’s not what your Mum told me….”
“Well I already told you the truth so leave my house my mother is not the right one for you” I said and he frowned immediately leaving the house.
Minutes later, Mum came into the living room and I faked a smile at her. “Evening Mum” I muttered.
“I’m sorry if you feel this way Violet I….”
“I forgive you Mum” I said and she squealed before pulling me into a hug.
“Did you meet Steve. He was here just now. Where did he go” She looked around.
“He said he had some important things to sort out and I think he’s nice” I lied to her feeling happy that I already got rid of Steve.
“Okay Baby. I’m preparing lunch so freshen up and come down immediately” She said and I nodded going to my room .
When I went to my room, I went to the window to open them and I saw that Clover’s window was also opened but I didn’t see him.
My mind was troubling thinking that I and Clover were at loggerheads. I know he had some ego and wouldn’t want to apologize.
I wanted to close the window back but I saw hands and then I flinched before looking down and I saw Clover trying to get in.
I was shocked and didn’t know if I should close the window back or let him in. I followed the second open and made way for him to enter inside my room.
The moment he came in, he walked fast to me and hugged me before whispering into my ear,
“I’m sorry Violet I misjudged you”
