“Why do you say so?”
“Because I don’t want to fall in love with anyone especially you”
“Fine i agree with you. I don’t even have time for love and you are the last person that can ever come to my mind” Neil said and Madison nodded.
“And about what happened last night. Let us just consider that as an insignificant one night stand. We just wanted to quench her urge right” Madison said nonchalantly.
Neil nodded and then brought out a folded paper in his palm and he gave it to Madison to read.
“What’s that?” She asked looking up.
“Why don’t you check it out” Neil replied and Madison opened the paper and gasped.
“One week… How do you expect me to deal with that. What about my job?” Madison asked.
“I guess you have to inform your manager about it.” Neil replied and then left the room.
They’ll be spending a week at a Oak private resort for the honeymoon and Chairman already paid the price.
Her phone started ringing by her side and the caller on the screen was BESTIE LIA. She picked the car and placed it close to her ear.
“Hey Girlie where have you been all these while. We’ve been calling you for two days now.” Amelia loud complain made her take the phone far away from her ear.
“Huh answer me. Where are you. Your manager told us you haven’t been coming to work also” Amelia continued but she stopped when she heard Madison Loud sigh.
“Babe why are you sighing. Were you kidnapped” She whispered the last part.
“Dummy if she was kidnapped how do you think you’ll be able to reach her” Amanda said.
“Hey girls calm down. I was not kidnapped okay. I’ll be back next week” She said and she heard Amelia scream.
“Next week… That’s took long . Wait you didn’t even tell us where you are” Amelia said.
“I will tell you when I’m back. I’m in a whole mess right now”
“Promise me. I wanna hear the full gist no left out detail okay”
“Fine I’ll tell you everything okay” Madison said and she hung up.
SMITH MANSION*
Donovan came out of the kitchen with a bowl of cereal in his right hand and his phone in the other hand. His gaze went to the stairs where he saw Pearl coming down in a short black gown that just stopped on her thighs.
Donovan raised his brow as he stared at her dressed that way. “Where are you going?” He asked.
“I’m having a date with Dean. I might come back tomorrow cause I will be spending the night in his place” She said and Donovan scoffed.
“You’re not going anywhere dressed like this. For f-__-k sake that guy is dangerous. I don’t like him” Donovan said.
“I don’t care about your opinion and you can’t stop me from going anywhere” Pearl rolled her eyes.
“Then I guess I will report to mum and dad that you have a boyfriend. You know how strict they are towards us” Donovan smirked obviously knowing that he won this round.
“Finnnneee I h@ťě you just know that. You have never allowed me to have a boyfriend. Always over protective of me and I h@ťě it. My friends taunt me about that and when I finally got admission to Cambridge. I was happy that I would be far away from you cause you won’t have to interfere in my private life any longer. But now I’m back you wanna start all over again ” Pearl yelled.
She had been holding it in for a long time but she had to let it all over. She’s fed up for real.
Donovan dropped the bowl of cereal on the nearest table and then he walked to her. Taking slow strides till he stopped in front of her.
“I have a reason why I am doing this. I’m sorry if you keep on hating me because of that. Let’s have dinner together. Yunno it’s been a long time” Donovan suggested and Pearl shook her head.
“I guess I will since you just cancelled my date. ” She smiled.
“Go put on a jacket. I can’t let you going out with me dressed like this”
“You’re back to being that over protective brother”Pearl said and jumped on his back.
“Whoa! You have a lot of weight. What have you been eating” Donovan teased adjusting her well on his back.
“I don’t have much weight. I know you’re just teasing me” She laughed.
“Take me to my room and help me put on the jacket. I’m too lazy to climb that stairs all over again.”Pearl whined.
“Lazybone. That’s why it’s good having a strong twin brother like me” Pearl scoffed.
“As if. I know people more stronger than you” Pearl replied.
“Oohhhhh” Donovan wanted to drop her down but she held his neck tightly.
“Okay you’re the most strongest person I Know. You happy”
“Yeah I am”
“Silly”

“The steak tastes good. Hmmmm” Pearl nodded her head when Donovan cut a piece of roasted steak and gave her to chew.
“Why wouldn’t it be. Foodie”
“I’m not a Foodie. I just love food too much.” Pearl said.
“What’s the difference. And still you don’t have any weight.” Donovan shook his head.
“Don’t you like me like that” Pearl asked.
“Yeah. You’re beautiful just this way” He smiled at her.
“It’s getting dark we have to get going” Donovan stood up.
“We can’t go now. I still have to visit the park. You cancelled my date so you have to do anything I wish” Pearl said also standing up.
“Are we still on that?” He rolled his eyes.
“Yeah Dean was kinda angry but I promised him I would come in the morning” Pearl shrugged.
Donovan ignored her and they walked to the car and got in. He drove out of the barbecue shop they were and drove to a park.
He parked the car somewhere and they got down. He didn’t even wait for her, he began walking ahead and Pearl had to run after him so she could catch up with him.
“Why are you walking so fast. Are you angry?” She asked tilting her head to the side to watch his expression.
“I’m not” he replied simply.
“You are. You’re just denying it. Unless you tell me what’s wrong with you I won’t let you walk into that park” Pearl said and the next thing she felt was Donovan capturing her lips.
Her eyes widened.
OAK PRIVATE RESORT*
“This is the card to our room. You can just go there I will be right back” Neil gave her the room card and she scoffed before collecting the card from his hand.
Neil called a number after leaving Madison but he someone touched his arm from behind and he turned to see a familiar woman who would be in her mid- thirties.
“Mr Armstrong. Ohh what are you doing here” Mrs Gilbert a business partner said.
“Oh I came on a vacation. It’s nice meeting you here” Neil smiled.
They exchanged pleasantries and Neil kissed her knuckles. That was when Madison interrupted.
“You’re cheating on me with her” Madison said glaring at the lady .
“Why are you so worked up about it. She’s a business partner and we have been in good relationship for years” Neil said.
“Why wouldn’t you be. Maybe you would have been f-__-king her behind my back” Madison muttered but it was loud enough for Neil to hear.
“I’m not like that okay. I don’t f-__-k my business partner. Everything we do is official” Neil said.
“Well tell her to leave. I’m sure you both are done discussing” Madison said eyeing her.
“She’s not going anywhere and if there’s anyone that’s going to leave then that’s you” Neil was angry with his tone of speaking.
He politely told the lady to follow him to a more quiet place and she agreed. When they got somewhere far from Madison they stopped.
“So where were we Mrs Gilbert” Neil said and she smiled.
“I’m sure that was your wife earlier she’s pretty and quite a character” Mrs Gilbert said.
“Women and their jealousy. I understand the situation. Your wife is jealous seeing you with another woman” Mrs Gilbert said.
“You’re getting it wrong. We’re not…”
“That’s jealousy Mr Armstrong. She will try to deny it several times but it’s clear in her eyes. She is head over heels for you” She said leaving Neil speechless.
