(THE NIGHTMARE)
CHAPTER 44
Ana was still up, she just couldn’t explain why her head kept pn thinking about jake, she unconsciously released a smile as the image of she and jake was displayed in her head, how jake had caught her, his scent always made her dumbstruck, she saw the care in his eyes, she saw affection in them, jake might hide his feelings for the whole world but not from her
She was sure he’d care for her, the same very affection she saw in him when she do got stabbed are just shown clearly in his eyes, no doubt he had begun caring, he had even stopped punishing her, , he had abandoned the cruel condition he placed when she do said she was willing to take on the condition,
Her thoughts got disrupted when Mrs Kimberley walked in to check on her, luckily she was fast enough to fake a slumber
Mrs Kimberley gave her a light peck before switching off the lights…..

Rehana spat out blood as she was severally hurt, she was bleeding from head to toe, while he struggled to reach to her
“ h..help me please” her weak trembling voice uttered, as their hands struggled to reach each other, but then the more they tried, the more they were drawn apart until she was slowly disappearing into the dark, her figure became fainted and blurry until he was unable to see her
“ nooooooo” he screamed
“ anaaaaaaa” he yelled out her name in frustration..
Jake woke up with a jerk
“ ana” he called at once as he breathed heavily,
Of course it was all a nightmare, he then inhaled and exhaled
“ ana is fine” he muttered as he glanced at the clock
It was 2;25 am in the morning though it was still very dark, he wondered why he would be having a nightmare, what baffled him the most was the fact that it was about rehana, why the h*ll would he even be dreaming of her, he had no attachment to her whatsoever, he give no f_cking d@mn about her,
“ are you sure?” a voice asked as he looked around immediately, but found no one
“ who are you?” he asked in a low tune
“ hahahaha” the voice chuckled
“ stop messing with me” he groaned
“ I’m not, let’s just say I’m you, I’m in your heart” the voice muttered as jake gave a scornful laugh
“ I’m the only piece in your being that still believes in love” the voice added as jake face grew sedate he was irritated
“ ion believe in love, I h@ťě that feeling” he replied
“ no you don’t, you just believe that you h@ťě it, but rehana is the only one who can make your dark world be lit up” the voice spoke as he begun burning up, his eyes begun bloody red,
“ i….don’t…..believe….it” his voice had grown more hoarse and deep
“ you should, only she can bring love, don’t stop it please” the voice pleaded, then immediately a strange force possessed him, his hair colour transformed to red all of a sudden, his palms were also red, a tornado grew all around his room, making the stuffs around blow off vigorously
“ shut up” he roared, as the voice became more fainter
“ don’t please” the voice pleaded again, as he now shut it all up
“ good job” another voice, this one possessed more of anger and force
“ you are only to posses hatred and anger” the voice said, as he slowly stood up from the bed……

*NEXT DAY*
Jake woke up, recalling all that had happened last night, just as he was about getting off from bed to the restroom, his eyes caught up with something, it was his palm prints on the bed sheets
Last night when he was getting off from the bed, he had used the bed for support and the very place he touched got burnt
He furrowed his brows in surprise
“ what the f_ck” he exclaimed as he took a closer glimpse, it was as though his hands had fire when he touched the sheets he couldn’t understand a thing, he wasn’t even the type that believes in supernatural powers so what then was going on with him
Not until he figure this out, no one was gonna know what is happening, he folded the sheets ready to confiscate it

Ana alighted off from joron’s car like always,
“ thank so much” she rushed her words not even waiting for a reply she dashed off into the school’s building, as joron smiled, his thoughts drifted back to when they were in a drive
“ so tell me rehana, imagine you were to date a guy who would it be” he had asked her as she narrowed her eyes to him
“ I.. I have no guy in mind” she replied
“ w.. what about me?” he asked as she chuckled
“ hmm maybe, I could probably manage you” she said as joron raised a brow
“ just manage?’ he asked as they both chuckled……
He actually meant every word he said, though he has confirmed that she particularly don’t have feelings for any one now, but then his plans will still be in motion
Jake is of nothing, he wouldn’t even get a chance with rehana, as he would be the only guy ana will choose to be with, he released smirk afterwards…..

“ hello Agatha, nabi and kim” rehana greeted her friends as she settled down,
“ morning” they chorused with flashy smiles at her,
In no time the classes begun
After a while it was time for philosophy
“ are you going?” nabi asked as ana gave a nod,
“ alright then I’ll be tagging alongside you” nabi said as she got her note pad and other necessary stuffs for class, the they begun walking out
The slay goddess squad walked passed them with glares
“ are they attending the class too?” nabi asked as ana gave a shrug
“ it’s their darn business” ana said

Most students were already settled as ana took her seat at the second roll alongside nabi
Coincidently ella’s squad ( slay goddesses) were also seated at the second roll, the next seconds that followed came in the figure of jake in a jacket and pairs of jeans pants
“ good morning sir” they all greeted
“ call me jake from now on” he corrected coldly as she looked around
“ are these all of you” he asked they nodded, he then got off his marker, as the class begun
As jake continued lecturing ana followed up simultaneously, on several occasions their eyes met as ana would discharge from the stare,
He thought elaborately and smartly, making everyone to understand his class better,
Finally he asked
“ who doesn’t understand?” he asked as ana raised her index, she was then granted permission to ask her question
“ sir..” she trailed off “ sorry I meant jake, you taught about what instigates different emotions in a human being, but you never talked about love, it’s also an emotion” ana said as jake sent a sharp glance
They both stared at each other for a while before he then broke the silence
“ so what exactly is your question?” he asked
“ I want to know what exactly it is that instigates love, conditions that can make one fall in love” she asked as jake stared intently on her, he then remembered the voice that spoke of love, the voice said rehana was love and he h@ťěs love, he was sure he did as he scoffed
“ hello” ana snapped him off his thoughts
“ love?, why? Why is it that you want to know of it so much” he asked
“ cause you thought of emotions, the theorem that do influences emotions, love is not excluded, love should have being the first” ana said back
“ are you now questioning my teaching?” he asked in a slight glare, as she shook her head
“ I only want to get a full and complete understanding” ana said as he turned to the other students he could see the anticipation in their eyes, as he looked back at ana,
He wouldn’t wanna look stupid or give them any room to doubt his capabilities, he felt ana was actually loking for his weakness but he was gonna make sure she found none..
