CHAPTER THIRTY SEVEN

“What’s in the tape” Daisy asked, staring at Rose.
Rose sighed, ” Daisy i wish i can tell you all that has happened. But it’s a long story. The tape will tell you more, and hope that Henry will understand” Rose said, with a little smile.
“Alright..mom” Daisy mumbled.
Rose and Daisy stopped up, they hugged each other, Rose was about to leave when Henry walked in, he didn’t talk to her. Rose looked at him and gave him a little smile, before leaving. Daisy followed her to her car, Rose entered the car and waved at her, she did the same. The car drove out of the compound.
Daisy walked back to the house, she was pissed off at Henry behavior. He was acting nice to her, she met him with his phone on his ear and his car key, he’s going to pick his daughter up from school.
She didn’t talk to him, she walked passed him and headed to the kitchen. He understands that she’s angry with him. He sighed softly, knowing what he did, he followed her to the kitchen.
“I’m sorry….” He apologized.
“Sorry about what?” Daisy said.
“you know exactly what you are doing. you can’t tell me sorry” she said, bluntly and looked away.
“Babe..i know. But i can’t find myself forgiving her…” He said.
“Because you h@ťě her. You don’t care about her feelings” Daisy mumbled.
He sighed again and looked at her, he close to her and held her hand slowly and rubbed it softly.
“I’m sorry….I promise I will try to be nice to her” he said.
“Are you sure?” She asked.
“Yeah” he replied and kissed her lips.
“I have to go now. Ava is waiting for me” he said with a smile and left.
Henry walked out of the kitchen, he saw the envelope on the table, he was wanted to touch it, but was interrupted by a phone call, it was Ava he quickly left.

Some hours later
Everyone was done eating, Ava was with her dad. Daisy walked to her bedroom, she couldn’t understand what’s wrong with her. It’s been since she fell sick, she lay on the bed and suddenly she slept off.
Henry waited for her to come downstairs, but he didn’t see her. He had no other choice than to go and check her. He headed to his bedroom, she wasn’t there, went to hers. He opened the door and walked in only to see her laying down on the bed, he moved closer to her and sat on the bed.
He touched her neck to know if she’s sick, her body wasn’t hot either, he suggested that she’s tired. He kissed her lips, she slowly turned and mumbled something which he couldn’t hear. He covered her with the blanket he smiled and left her room.
He came downstairs, Ava welcomed him with a question. “Is my mom sleeping?” She asked, staring at her dad.
“Yeah…”
Ava sighed softly, ” i haven’t seen my mom sleeping by this time of the day” Ava muttered, playing with her fingers. Henry noticed the look on her face, she was sad.
“Yeah….but I think she’s tired….she’s not sick” he said, just to make sure she is happy, it obvious that she doesn’t want to see her mom sick. She nods her head and smiled.

Hours passed, Ava slept off while watching the movie, Henry gently carried her to her bedroom, he was the only awake, he spent most time with his phone, he didn’t bother watching the the movie again. He prepared something for dinner. Since Daisy hasn’t woken up yet.
Daisy’s phone rang, she opened her eyes and grabbed the phone, she pick up the call, without looking at the callers name.
Hello…..” She muttered.
What’s up sis” Anna said over the phone.
Anna…..” Daisy called in a low tone.
“What’s wrong with you and your voice?” Anna asked.
“Nothing. you woke me up from sleep” Daisy mumbled, getting up from the bed.
“I’m sorry I didn’t know that you were sleeping. Hope you are okay. It’s been long time since you slept by this time” Anna said.
“I’m fine…i was a bit tired, so decided to get some rest”
“Tired?”
“Yeah. Tired. Nothing else”
Anna chuckled softly, ” Alright take care of yourself” Anna said, with a smile and hang up. She sighed softly and walked to the washroom, she removed her clothes and freshen up.

7pm
Henry dished out the food, he carried it on a tray. He served them and sat down, they began eating. Daisy finished up her food and requested for another one. Henry looked at her surprisingly. He served her again. She also finished up the plate of food, Henry and Ava looked at her, she looked at her and shrugged her shoulders. Soon Henry and Ava finished up their meal, he carried the empty dishes to the kitchen, he quickly washed them and return back to the living room.
He carried Ava to her bedroom, he laid her on the bed, he told her a little story, before she slept off. He covered her properly and kissed her forehead, he turned off the lights and left.
He came downstairs to see her eating, he sat down and take a good look at her and at the same time wondered what’s wrong with her. He hasn’t seen her eat like this.
“Are you OK?” He asked, staring at her.
“I’m fine” she muttered with her mouth full of food.
“Are you sure that you are okay. The way you were eating, i keep looking at you and wondering if you are still the Daisy i know” he said.
“I’m fine” she said and left after she was done eating,
The next morning Daisy woke up, rushing to the bathroom, she threw up. She quickly flushed it down and sat on the toilet seat, she wiped her mouth with her hand, she waited for a while, she stood up slowly and washed her face and also brushed before leaving.
“Oh goodness…i hope it’s not what I’m thinking. I don’t want to be sick” she muttered to herself.
“I think it’s high time i stop having séx with Henry” she thought, looking her self in the mirror, she touched her face and fold her lips. The bathroom door opened, Henry walked in, he thought she was in Ava’s room.
“Good morning honey” she greeted avoiding the eye contact.
“Good morning sweetheart. How was your night” he mumbled and walked close to her, he held her waist.
“It was great and yours” she muttered and removed his hands from her waist, she walked to the door.
“You are acting strange these days” he said and removed the towel on his waist, he hang it and turn on the shower. She walked away. Daisy doesn’t understand what’s wrong with her body.
Twenty minutes later, they are done eating. Daisy didn’t asked for more. She quickly grabbed her car key and left.

Daisy and Henry went to their work place, Daisy didn’t work much, she went back home, she was sleeping in her office and she was tired, she managed to drive herself home.
It was already 2pm Henry came back and saw her sleeping with her shoes on, he chuckled and removed them, he removed her wears too and lay her down.
He did the cooking and asked Ava to wait here, while he went to the room to wake her up. She quickly wake up and wiped her eyes with her hands, she looked at her body, she wasn’t putting on the same the clothes.
“What did you do to my clothes?”
“Nothing. you came back laying on the bed with your clothes, so i removed them. I didn’t do anything to you or your clothes” he said with a smile.
“I’m hungry” she mumbled, rubbing her belly.
“That’s why I’m here sweetheart. Food is ready” he said, smiling.
