CHAPTER FIFTY TWO
Its been three days since Alondria set up the studio in Jared’s house, with Jared trying so hard to get a chance to speak with his wife to no avail.
Its been from work out to rehearsal, and from rehearsal to sleep.
She has been off his grasp.
It was like they no longer live in the same house.
Jared was served a divorce paper two days ago, he refused opening it, instead he threw it into his drawer, locked it and intentionally misplaced the key.
He was already a shadow of himself, getting drunk daily and totally forgetting his duties.
While he wallowed in his misery and self pity and regret, Kurt took pictures and got all the informations he could get and kept sending them to his enemies.
Asher was out of town,his mom was miserable too, his dad… no one knew where he was.
As usual,Jared stood in front of his wife’s studio, listening to her sing but couldn’t go in.
She was going to ignore and embarrass him, she already told him she didn’t want to see his face, all she was waiting for was for the divorce papers to be signed.
Slowly he began walking away, to where ever.
He got out and Kurt approached him.
Are you going out boss? he asked and Jared nodded.
You don’t look too well.
Can I drive you? Kurt asked and Jared nodded.
Happily, he opened the door for his boss then he ran to the drivers sit and drove off.
He drove past a bar and Jared asked him to reverse.
You should go, I will be here for long, Jared said
I will wait boss, he replied.
Ignoring him, Jared walked in.
He ordered for drinks and they were brought to him.
As he drank he began browsing.
How to get a woman’s forgiveness;
* Express your regret, he read, but I already did that.
* Explain the reason for your action, she didn’t even let me finish.
* Tell her you will fix things, Alondria doesn’t even want to hear me out.
I have done all these, she keeps sending me back to the divorce papers.
I dont know what else to do, he muttered ruffling his hair.
While the ladies tried to flirt with him he had his concentration on the drinks in front of him.
He kept drowning the drinks down his throat as he requested for more.
Kurt continued his work, taking pictures and sending out their location.
Hours passed, Jared was still in there.
WILLIAMS
This is the perfect opportunity to attack, I knew a day like this will come, I said to my right hand man as I scrolled through all the pictures I have gotten so far from Kurt.
I don’t think breaking into his secret room will be a good idea today, my right hand man Jesse said and i frowned.
Why? I asked.
The boys informed me that Asher is back, they saw him drive in few minutes ago, he said.
Asher! I growled.
We go with more men, he is just one person, they will take him down in no time, don’t you think it will be good if he dies before his dear friend? I asked already having imaginations of the success of this operation.
The CCTV cameras has not been detected yet, the code to the door is not known yet, the safe Kurt said he saw will be needing a professional to unlock it, Jesse replied and I thought about it..
If we attack today, it will be a waste as the room that contains all we need to completely ruin J. J is inaccessible.
f-__-k, i cursed.
A golden opportunity just presented itself but Kurt couldn’t do a good job.
For how many years!
How many years will it take him to figure out his boss’s loophole? I yelled
Find out what he is up to, I commanded Jesse and he walked out.
Few minutes later he walked in.
Speak, I growled releasing some smoke from my nostrils.
Same old news, He’s still drinking, he suspects he might be drunk by now.
Nice, take the boys, you know what to do, I said and he nodded.

Jared was already wasted and staggering when he got up from his seat.
He pulled out all the notes in his wallet, dropped them on the table without counting before pushing his miserable self slowly as he muttered incoherent words.
The moment Kurt saw him, he quickly placed a quick call to Jesse then ran to perform his duties.
He helped Jared into the car.
Instead of taking the main road, Kurt took the other road which is known to always be shorter but deserted.
Jared had his eyes shut as he lay carelessly on the backseat.
Getting to a particular spot their car was stopped.
Kurt who already knew stopped the car while he pretended to plead with the guys to let him and his boss go.
What’s going on? Jared asked weakly.
I don’t know boss, they are thr_@tening to break the glasses, he replied shivering.
On hearing this Jared snapped his eyes open, let me handle it, he said to Kurt who didn’t bother stopping him as he opened the door and went out.
What is going on? Jared asked when he stood before them, his eyes partly shut making them laugh at him.
* He looks like dry vegetables, one of them joked pushing Jared who fell on the car.
Leave this place now, Jared commanded but it came out like he was pleading.
Another pulled him up then grabbed him by the neck as he hit his head on the car.
Don’t dare me! Jared growled but it held no authority as the boys began beating him up.
Jesse who was leading the gang allowed them beat him as he pulled Kurt out of the car.
Let me go, Kurt protested.
Beating him too wasnt part of the plan but Jesse wasn’t listening.
He made sure to almost disfigure his face with his punches.
Jesse stop, Kurt whispered, this isn’t part of the plan.
You will look suspicious if you go back untouched, don’t you think? Jesse said as he lifted him then threw him on the floor making Kurt yelp in pain.
Stop already, I’m in so much pain, please! Kurt yelled
He didn’t plan for this.
He only lured his boss to be beaten up, not him too.
His face and body were bloody.
The others kept beating Jared without pity, like they wanted to give him back all the pain he gave them all the time Williams sent them to attack him.
For the first time Jared didn’t just get injured from them but he got beaten up without defense.
Jesse seeing Jared was no longer moving rushed to the guy beating him and pushed him away.
That’s enough, he said and the guy stopped with a frown.
One after the other, they began walking back to their car in victory.
Williams will sure be proud of them.
Jesse gave Kurt one last kick on the ribs then pulled out his phone, sent a quick message to someone, deleted it as he walked to the car to join others.
Kurt groaned in pain as he tried to get up but he couldn’t.
He expected Jared to come to his rescue as usual but Jared wasn’t moving
Boss? he called out in pain but no response came.
He couldn’t get up even after many tries, slowly he too drifted into unconsciousness.
None of them knew when or who came to carry them off the road.
