Calvin pov
I can’t believe it, Katryn face was pale as we drop her off the car into the hospital, my heart was like cracking into bits and pieces, I wish I was there to help her, I wish I came for her early, if anything should happen to Katryn and our baby, I promise not to ever forgive myself and live with the grieve……. “Doctor there is an emergency, emergency call, please help me, save my wife”, I said panicking as tears strip off my eyes as I watch the nurse take her to the emergency room, my mind strictly went aback to Derek, I left him with Leah and am sure Leah isn’t kind and might hurt him.
I gently pick up my phone and dial Leah number but she isn’t picking up, “why isn’t she picking up, what is wrong, I really don’t get where the matter is coming from, first Katryn and now derek”, I muttered gently to myself…… “ma’am please I wanna go check on my son”, I said about to leave when she drag me aback…. “Mr Calvin thank you for been there for her, thank you for standing up for my daughter”, she said as tears flip down her eyes….. I took my handkerchief and use it to wipe away her tears.
I took my car key and left for my car, I hurriedly start my car and speed off, my head was really aching me, ” I can’t believe am going through all this trauma, I can’t believe am loosing my son, my unborn child and my wife, d@mn f-__-k”, he said snapping his hands against the car steering.
Braden pov
I can’t believe Calvin hasn’t come, have waited for hours yet he hasn’t come for his son, what is really going on cause I don’t get, if Derek wakes up and ask after him what am I going to tell him, i just have to be strong and wait till tomorrow before knowing what is happening.
“Uncle where is dad and mom, I haven’t still gotten my birthday gift from them, I wanna show my friend my gift cause they also show me theirs”, he said sobing…… My heart is deteriorating seeing this boy in this mood, he is always cold, am shorts of words as I am tired of lying to him……” You know what, dad and mom is gonna take you to foreign country for tourism”, I said making him clean his tears with the back of his palm.
He look at me smiling, I wish he could know the truth that am lost, I didn’t know the whereabout of Katryn and his father……. “uncle then I have to retire to bed so that I can wake up early and prepare”, he said going back to sleep, such a naughty brat but smart.
Katryn pov
I can’t imagine am in the hospital, what is happening here cause I don’t get, am in the beach the other time and now am at the hospital, I try to remember everything that happened but my head is aching me, all I could recall was the bar and t….h…E shot, “no, no, no!!!”, I said screaming as my dad run towards me.
“Dear what happens to you, why scream that loud, are you alright?”, He asked……”yes dad, I just can’t imagine, please how did I get here and how is my health?”, Like I am lost.
My dad was mute for a while as tears roll down his eyes, he has never for once cry in my presence, he his strong to retrain his stand but why now, “dad please speak up and don’t cry, I h@ťě seeing tears”, I said….. “Katryn you were shot and the bullet pierce through the stomach, Calvin was the one who rushed you to the hospital”, he said pausing……. Tears flip from my eyes as I saw the bandage on my stomach, I can’t believe it, “dad so I lost my child?, Where is Calvin, he his nowhere to be find, am worthless without the child,”, I said crying.
My dad could only watch me cry, he his short of words, he move closer to me and rely my head on his shoulder…… “Katryn don’t blame him, who knows what might keep him hanging, he might have many schedule to face”….. “no dad, please stop been in his side, I h@ťě it when you are on his side, besides I h@ťě lies”, I said resting back against the wall…… My dad gave me a deadly stare before talking, “darling please all you need now is rest, your baby need rest, it a twinnie and you aren’t hurt, the shot bullet didn’t pierce through stomach”, he said.
My joy knew no bounds, so am gonna be a mother of a twinnie and Calvin is a father to a twinnie, I know Derek will be happy because he will be having a sibling, I felt sharp touch as my mom tap me on the back……. “I don’t know, I….. ca……nt…. Believe it, so Calvin was involved in an accident, his body are stain with blood”, my mom said, I think she must be joking….”Don’t tell me it true”, I said as I forcefully stand up and all of a sudden my eyes become blurry, my leg stalk in the air, my breathe becomes stiff and tight, I began gasping hard as my head spine in pain, “Doctor please help”, that is the only word I could hear, it seems my ear is deaf and my mouth is dumb, my eyes is blind.
“What will happen to Katryn and Calvin”, mum Katryn said as she snaps her finger together a cross her head.
Katryn is pregnant with twins.
