Lyric, Raspberry and North walked into the massive hallway and everyone around stared in their direction. The trio were surprised.

“I think they are gawking at us because we are pretty. It’s not easy..” Raspberry said and the trio giggled.

“I love you girls so much. Thank you for finally dealing with Tessa and her bugs”

“Yeah. You girls are awesome”

“I couldn’t stand up for myself when they tried to deal with me. I’m happy you girls finally did it”

“Lyric! Lyric!! Lyric!!!”

“North! North!!”

“My name is Raspberry. Don’t forget to chant my name too” Raspberry beamed and they all bursted into laughter.

“Berry! Berry!!”

The students chanted,, causing the girls to blush, especially Raspberry.

It’s actually surprising that the students never liked Tessa. Maybe they’ve been pretending to,, so that they won’t become one of her victims.

Almost immediately, someone pushed North and she fell flat on her bútt.

“Oh my gosh, are you blínd?” Raspberry said while helping North up. Her bútt must be red by now from the fall.

“What did you just say?” The boy asked as he turned to the trio and put a pause to the music he was listening to.

“That’s Hardin Scott” A student gasped in horror.

“I think you should remove that cheap headset from your head, so that you can hear me clearly” Raspberry replied,, while North tapped her shoulders but she didn’t bother answering.

She needs to put the boy in his place.

“Do you know who i am?? I’m very sure you don’t. Cause if you did,, you wouldn’t be b@rking at me like this” Hardin smirked..

“FYI. I don’t give a fúck about who you are. And never tell a lady that’s she’s b@rking, it’s so offensive” Raspberry replied boldly.

Hardin’s bodyguards tried to come closer, but he signalled them to stop. He’s not ready to get scolded by his father again and get transferred to another school.

“What are they planning to do? Be@t me up?? Bring it on..” Raspberry replied, her fists slowly began folding as she slowly looked up at this Hardin of a boy.

The students could be seen around, they wasted no time in taking pictures and videos, since that’s what they are good at.

“Gossh. Does she know who she’s messing with??”

“He isn’t Tessa and her minions that she can best anyhow”

“She is so dramatic”

“Her first day and she is causing trouble”

Hardin looked at the crowd that had already gathered around them once again, before signalling his bodyguards to pave way for him and he simply walked away.

“He should have waited so i could give him the beating of his life. Jérk!” Raspberry sneered as soon as Hardin left.

“Raspberry, that’s Hardin Scott! He just returned from Arizona with his mom. He’s not someone you should be messing with” North screamed,, while holding her head which caused people in the hallway to look at her. She released an awkward smile.

“It’s not like he’s the president’s son” Raspberry scoffed.

“He isn’t,, but he is the Chairman’s son” North said and Raspberry bursted into laughter.

“You’re kidding, right?” Lyric asked.

“I’m serious” North replied and Raspberry stopped abruptly as she looked at North’s stern and serious look.

She doesn’t look like she’s kidding.

“Why couldn’t i stop this tap from running?” Raspberry lamented,, referring to her mouth.

“You just stepped on a lion’s tail. What’re you going to do??” Lyric said, making Raspberry a bit frightened.

“Oh my god, what is the Chairman capable of doing?” Raspberry asked, biting her fingernails as she paced back and forth.

“He isn’t gonna do anything much. But only going to kidn@p you, torture you, make you his séx slave, k!ll you and then mail pieces of your body back to us” Lyric said. Raspberry’s throat immediately ran dry.

North and Lyric exchanged glances, and as if they planned it, they bursted into audible laughter.

“You’re not helping, Lyric. Be serious” Raspberry said frowning at Lyric and North as they laughed at her..

“She’s just kidding,, but his dad owns 80% of the school’s shares. So literally,, he owns this school. Be careful,, so you won’t get expelled on your first day” North concluded.

“Ahhh!!!. I can’t miss this opportunity because of my bad attitude” Raspberry screamed while using her fingers to block her ear holes. She doesn’t want to hear a word from North again.

North then laughed and the trio ran into the hall.

⟨MUSIC LH⟩

Students chatted excitedly as everyone saw each other during the weekend. Few people were on their phones, others were gisting and some were reading.

Few minutes later, Mrs Samara, the music teacher came in but the students didn’t seem to notice her.

She then dropped her heavy books on the table, which made a loud sound that finally caught the student’s attention.

“Who carries those types of books these days?”.

“Such a wéirdo”

“What are we supposed to do with those books. It’s not like we’re studying Law or Accounting”

“Decorum!” Mrs Samara frowned and the murmurs stopped.

Almost immediately,, Floyd came in with Dwayne. They were looking hót.

“Oh my gaawwwd!”

“They grew more handsome and muscular over the weekend”

“Xscape!”

They both walked to were the girls were sitting and sat on their various seats,, before bringing out their cellphones.

Floyd turned to look at Lyric,, but she wasn’t looking in his direction. He looked away with a frown.

“Who are they?” Raspberry asked pointing at the boys.

“That’s Xscape. They are K-pop singers,, but haven’t debuted yet. They just perform at parties,, bars,, grand openings,, et cetera” Lyric replied.

“You left something out. One of them is actually Lyric’s-” North tried to talk,, but was interrupted as a flying paper hit her forehead.

“Ouch,, who did that?” North pouted.

“Miss,, stand up. Since you didn’t let me speak,, your team will go first for this week. And then, Team One and Two will be doing theirs next week” Mrs Samara said in a low tone as she came closer to North.

“Oooops” North mumbled and bit her lips guiltily.

She turned to look at her team members who were already walking to the front of the class. She followed behind.

Lyric cleared her throat and started..

🎶 All this time i sink, drowning like a stone. Tryna close my eyes shut my ears on this throne 🎶

🎶 Loosing my way home. Then you came along. Everywhere we are felt like were i belong 🎶

North went next.

🎶 Lost in your eyes there was no place i could hide. Take me inside and let me live in your mind 🎶

🎶 No pain tonight. This place is reserved for only, you and i 🎶

Then they all sang together,, with their beautiful and melodious voices giving most of the students goosebumps. Some even got emotional and started to sob.

“So beautiful..”

🎶 Cos iiiii, wanna stayyyyyy, on your sideeeee. Even if the world come crushing down tonight, we’ll be fine. Hold me close and we’ll just leave it all behind 🎶

🎶 Why don’t you staaaaaaaaay 🎶

They finished singing and faced the class who clapped happily. The teacher faced them and clapped too.

She was very impressed.

Lyric’s gaze slowly met with Floyd’s. He winked at her and she smiled.

“Well done guys. I’m very impressed and speechless at the same time. You really got me dumbfounded. I hope you guys will turn out as the winners of the challenge. Good luck” Mrs Samara complimented the students who smiled.

After the praises,, they all went back to their respective seats. The teacher resumed her lectures.

“Nice voice. I almost cried while listening to you” Hardin said to North and her eyes widened. She blinked as she stared at him,, fear written all over her face.

Hardin smirked at her before facing his front and North released the breath she didn’t know she was holding.

“Jérk” Raspberry muttered and glared at him.

⟨DUNLOP RESIDENCE⟩

Aneesa walked into her bedroom and went straight to her wardrobe. She opened it and started throwing her clothes inside a black suitcase.

Looking at her eyes, one could see that she wasn’t in a good mood. They were swollen and red from crying so much.

Ring! Ring!* Came her phone.

When she checked the caller ID,, *My love 💛* was boldly written on it. She cleared her throat and swiped right to accept the call.

“Hey baby. I’m surprised you’re calling. What’s up??” Aneesa said as soon as she picked.

“Can’t i call you anymore?? Well,, i just wanted to tell you to get dolled up before 7pm tonight. I want to take you out for dinner” Emerald replied,, smiling at the other end.

Aneesa didn’t realize when a tear fell from her eyes,, down to her cheeks.

“No. I can’t. You know that company i told you about some time ago? Yeah,, they just accepted my proposal. I’ll be travelling to Nigeria to act a Nollywood movie” She quickly said. Emerald was quiet for more than ten minutes. Then he spoke.

“Ohh. And you’re just telling me?? Ok. Then. Goodluck” Emerald didn’t sound happy. He hanged up afterwards.

“I’m sorry for hiding this from you for so long. I just don’t know how to say it. I’m so.. rrrry…” Aneesa stuttered, staring at a white envelope that contained her test result.

Tears fell out of her eyes when the memories started coming again,, and when she remembered what the doctor told her, she sniffed and rested her face on the wall, crying more.

⟨RECESS⟩

The lecturerer could be seen in front,, teaching while the students jotted down some points.

The electronic bell rang, signalling the end of the class and it’s time for recess. The teacher left,, while the students began putting their books back into their backpacks.

Some left for the cafeteria to have lunch,, while others stayed behind to chat and press their phones.

North yawned loudly and stretched the upper part of her body. She turned to lyric who was busy playing Candy Crush on her phone.

“I’m so hungry, that i could eat anything right now. Yummy,, your B-__-bs looks eatable” North touched Lyric’s soft bre@st and made one of her food mo@ns.

Raspberry suddenly flicked her hand on her forehead.

“What the f_ck!!” North rubbed her forehead.

“That’s for spitting rubbish out of that gutter you call a mouth. Go get us something to eat,, before you start talking like a dúmmy” Raspberry rolled her eyes.

North cracked her knuckles and neck. Raspberry swallowed hard and immediately took to her heels.

“Wait till i catch you. Psyçho!!” North ran after her.

North just finished getting lunch just now, and immediately she left the cafeteria, she made her way back to the lecture hall.

She was walking by an empty class, when she heard muffled sobs. Without hesitation,, she walked into the class and met Dwayne sitting on the floor, with tears in his eyes.

Dwayne noticed a figure standing beside him, he quickly cleaned his face with his hands and stood up.

His eyes widened and he could swear his heart fluttered when he saw North standing so close to him.

“North?” Dwayne muttered, looking surprised.

They both began staring at each other and when the air began to become tense, Dwayne sniffed and took a step back.

“Ohh.. huh.. I heard someone crying. So i decided to check..” North cleared her throat.

“Nobody must hear about this. Okay??” Dwayne said, and North nodded.

“You have nothing to worry about. I just felt like crying. Goshh.. i must sound stvpid. Just forget you saw this” Dwayne said, heading to the exit.

North’s gaze followed him till he finally went out of sight. She looked very worried.

“I hope he’s okay…”

Dwayne’s’s car drove into the parking lot and he parked his car roughly. He came down with a scowl on his face as he stared at the gigantic building before him.

“Good day,, Young master” A guard greeted.

With a nod, Dwayne walked into the building. His father called him over saying he had something important to say to him.

He had no choice but to comply, cause he knows his father never takes ‘NO’ for an answer.

“Good day, Young master. Boss is waiting for you at the living room” A maid said and Dwayne left.

He got into the living room and his countenance changed,, when he saw his father with another woman, but that wasn’t any of his business. His gaze was fixed on his father precisely.

“Son! You’ve changed over the weeks. You’re now taller and good looking. When will you decide to grow up and move back in with me?The last time i checked,, i divorced your mother and not you. This is still your home” Reuben said and Dwayne rolled his eyes.

Reuben handed a paper over to him. It was an invitation,, an engagement invitation. His eyeballs narrowed when he read through it.

“This is not gonna be possible dad,, how would i be betrothed to that thing?” Dwayne said fuming in anger.

“Dwayne, don’t talk to me like that. Quincy isn’t a thing,, but also a billionaire’s daughter” His dad replied.

“A billionaire’s daughter who is a sl*t and only wants s*x. I can’t marry her!” Dwayne flared up.

“Dwayne, i and her dad are business partners and soon to be in-laws…”

“Soon to be in-laws??” Dwayne scoffed before walking out.

“Are you walking out on your father?” His dad yelled,, anger curling hot and unstoppable in his gut,, like a blazing inferno that wanted to burn him from the inside

“You’re not worthy to be called a father. Divorcing mom wasn’t enough for you,, now you’re forcing me to get married. I’m so ashamed to call you my dad” Dwayne said before climbing the staircase,, leading to his bedroom.

⟨EVENING••AT THE POOL⟩

The fascinating,, open air swimming pool is constructed with the cool blue tiles that enhance the color of the water in the pool.

The day is not so hot due to the slight breeze that kept touching Lyric’s faces softly.

She was relaxed and happy, strolling along the pool side in her colorful and stylish bikinis, enjoying the breeze blowing the hair on her skin.

She exuded an effortless kind of beauty, with a natural glow about her that made her seem radiant.

Lyric stopped walking around and sat at the edge of the pool,, then dipped her toes into the water. It was so warm,, that she felt so alive.

“Wow! This is nice…” She mumbled as she shut her eyes and enjoyed the serene atmosphere. She didn’t notice when a figure walked up to her,, and stood behind her.

He waited for her to be lost in pleasure,, then *Boom*, he pushed her into the water.

“Hey! Have you gone mád??” Lyric yelled at Emerald who was busy laughing his @zz out. He took of his clothes and joined her in the pool.

“You look so pretty in your bikinis…” Emerald complimented,, staring at her chest.

Lyric’s cheeks flushed pink as she covered her chest with her arms.

“Pérvert!!. Stop looking at me that way…” Lyric puckered and was about to leave the pool,, when emerald pulled her back.

A gasp escaped her lips when Emerald reached out and pulled her gently towards himself,, their body moving closer until they were almost touching.

“Hey! What do you think you’re doing…”

Emerald’s hair was dripping wet, making it stick dangerously to his face. Lyric’s gaze went to his wet lips and she mentally slapped herself for even doing so..

There was a tension in the air, a feeling of anticipation that was almost palpable.

As the seconds ticked by,, they inched closer and closer, until their lips were only inches apart. In that moment,, everything seemed to slow down, and time seemed to stand still.

Emerald stared at her with the same intensity. Some strands of her hair sticked to her face and he brought his hand closer,, gently pushing the hair to the back of her ear before his palms rested on her cheek.

Lyric’s heart couldn’t stop pounding in her chest as he brought his face closer and closer to hers. A shiver ran down her spine when his lips slightly brushed against hers.

“Can i… kiss you?” Emerald muttered and Lyric raised her head to meet with his.

As their eyes met,, the world seemed to fade away. She felt his hand gently touch her cheek, his fingers tracing a line down her jawline.

Her heart raced as his lips finally met hers, soft and gentle at first,, then with a growing intensity.

Their kiss was full of tenderness and passion, a dance of two hearts in perfect harmony.

In that moment, nothing else mattered,, no worries or fears,, no past or future.

There was only the heat of the moment,, the electricity between them, and the pure, unbridled passion of their kiss.

Lyric felt Emerald’s arms wrap around her,, pulling her close as they lost themselves in the moment.

The world around them ceased to exist,, leaving only the two of them in a sea of pure, unbridled emotion.
