Luke sat down feeling the fresh breeze of the
environment. He wore sunglasses and was
reading a magazine near the swimming pool.
Lucy came out of the house in his sweatpants
and jumped into the pool, splashing some water
on Luke.
“Hey…

Lucy apologized and continued her swimming.
“I think am the father of Lauren’s baby”
Luke suddenly said from nowhere. Lucy paused
her swimming and came out of the pool before
facing him.
“Are you out of your mind?”
Lucy asked.
“Who the hell got her pregnant? How come I
drunkenly R@P£D someone at the house party
and in the few weeks, Lauren was the one
pregnant”
“It’s just a coincidence, Luke…
Don’t look at it that way, you are not the father
of her baby.
“Also, it’s her fault she is pregnant cos only she
knows how she got the pregnancy”

Lauren was still smiling at her sleep as she
dreamt of Ethan kissing her on her office table.
She noticed her office door opened and Alex
walked in angrily. He rushed to Ethan and
punched him in the face.
“Stay away from the wife”
Alex said angrily.
Lauren saw Ethan’s face filled with blood as he
was about to pass out from Alex’s powerful
punch. She screamed out of sleep.
She jerked up from sleep and saw herself in her
bedroom before breathing a sigh of relief.
“Gosh, that was scary”
She muttered and noticed someone’s leg on top
of hers. She looked beside her and saw Alex on
the same bed with her, snoring very loudly.
Lauren flinched and kicked off his legs, waking
up Alex.
“What are you doing in my bedroom? What
brought you to my bed?”
Lauren asked already getting angry.
Alex sat up and yawned.
“Gosh, it’s morning already?
“Hey, answer my question…
Did we have segz?
Lauren quickly thought and checked herself out.
“Relax, nothing happened between us”
Alex assured her.
“What are you doing on top of my bed? I
thought we agreed you sleep in the guest
bedroom”
Lauren asked.
“Your uncle is a stubborn one.. he forced me in
here last night to have the night with you”
Alex said and came down from the bed.
“What do you mean?
Lauren asked and followed him.
“Look, am going to be late for work
See you in the evening”
Alex said and walked out leaving Lauren still
surprised.
“What does he even do for a living?”
Lauren thought.
She sighed and walked to her bathroom.
“I know all this will be over soon”
She muttered and stared at herself in the large
mirror 🪞 of the bathroom.
She touched her stomach and massaged it
gently.
“Am sorry for not knowing your father…
But I will find out soon enough”
She said and breathed out.
Another thought and question hit her. How is
she going to find the father of her unwanted
baby?
Where will she start from?”
She wanted to cry again but decided to shake it

Ethan was thinking of another way to hold Luke
at the head.
He has all of Luke’s secrets. He can be of use to
him. Luke can be his revenge weapon.
He kept thinking and Lauren popped into his
mind.

He said without realizing he said that too loud.
“Which Lauren did I know of?”
Jessica said suddenly behind him. Ethan
flinched and looked back.

Why did you do that? You scared me”
Ethan breathed out and stood up.
Jessica smiled and just folded her arms.

Jessica asked. Ethan walked to her and looked
at her closely.

Ethan cleared her once and for all but Jessica
still didn’t believe him.
She still believes Ethan likes Lauren.

She said and walked to her office seat.
Stephan came in and left a document on
Ethan’s table.
“Work on them and submit them back to me
before the end of today.
Miss Ellie needs them by evening”
He said and walked out immediately before
Ethan could give him a reply.

He is going to get used to you with time”

Lauren was already lost in thought.
Her life is in disarray and she doesn’t know
what to do.
Everything has been upside down for the past
few weeks.

Ellie tapped her back to reality.
She was already lost. Ellie could notice the tears
on her cheek.
“Am sorry for coming in without knocking”
Ellie apologized.

He is busy right now and Ellie needs the file
before the end of the day.

pancakes. He smiled and rushed to the kitchen
thinking Hannah was back but was surprised to
see Harry.

Harry waved the frying spoon at him.
“Yeah I can see that”
Harry noticed the sad look on his face.
“Ain’t you happy to see me?”

Ethan walked back to his small living room.
“Am back now, am not going anywhere
How is your new job treating you?”
Harry asked as he came out with the two plates
of pancakes in his hands. He dropped them on
the table.
“My new job is fine… I also created a new
enemy”
Harry burst into laughter.
“I knew there was no how you could get
everyone to be your friend”
“But I make more friends than I make enemies”
Ethan replied as they both dug into the
pancakes.
Harry looked at Ethan as he ate.

A knock came on the door.

suddenly the next thing that happened, Ethan
was pushed to the ground.
Luke and some other thugs walked into the
living room.
Luke smiles and looks around the house.
“So this is the trashy house you lived in?”
Luke said and kicked the light wooden furniture
table, destroying it with the pancakes scattered
everywhere.
“Ethan…
Who are this?
Harry seems very angry.
“Just keep quiet, Harry… Let me handle this”
Ethan shut his mouth immediately to avoid
trouble.
“Remember, you and I have some unfinished
business”
Luke said and knelt on his toes facing Ethan
who was still on the ground.
“All those videos that you have against me,
where are they? ”
He asked.
Ethan saw the dangerous look on Luke’s face.
He looked at all his thugs each holding a gun.
