Lauren walked out of the conference room to her office, leaving Ellie, Stephan and Jessica to have a little chit-chat.
She walked into her office and was surprised to see Alex. Alex sat down on her office chair with his legs on the office table, and his hands in his pocket.
“What’s going on here?
Lauren asked.
“Hi, Lauren
He smiled and stood up.
“Have been waiting for you”
“What are you doing in my office?
What do you want?
Lauren asked.
“C’mon…
Can’t I come and say hi anymore?”
“And why do you need to see how am doing? As you can see, am doing fine you can leave now”
Alex walked to Lauren slowly as Lauren also moved back slowly to the wall.
“What are you doing?
Lauren asked as she rested against the wall.
Alex came closer to her and held her on both shoulders.
“I can call my securities if you try anytime funny”
She looked straight into Alex’s eyes.

“I mean no harm
He said and kept quiet for a while.
“Who is Ethan Baker?”
“What do you mean? We all know who Ethan Baker is”
She replied.
“I mean the Ethan baker you’ve been going on a date with, have been watching you two for the past few weeks, the date, the house visits, the short weekend vacation at the beach…
I have eyes everywhere, Lauren, I see everything”
“And what about my personal life has to do with you?”

“Of course, am jealous…

Lauren said again and pointed to the door.
“Answer my question first, before I leave
Cos I know you are going out with him just because his name is also Ethan Baker, he reminds you of him right?
You know, I had thought when Ethan died, you were going to love me now, but you didn’t”
Then, I left just to see maybe you are going to miss me and call me back to stay, but you didn’t also”
“And that’s proves I don’t love you, Alex…
Can’t you just see, we can’t be together .. it’s obvious”

Alex said and held her cheek.
She sighs and put his hands away from her face.
“I will be going now, you can take the office”
She said and wanted out. Alex drew her back and smashes his lips against hers.
Lauren tried to push him away but couldn’t. Alex held her still, kissing her.
Just in time, Ellie barge in with securities.
Alex released her. Lauren was surprised and angry. She looked at Alex’s face with an angry look and slap Alex in the face.
Ellie and the securities were surprised.
“Did you just kissed me?
You just segzually harassed me”
Ellie quickly called the cops. The securities held Alex refusing to allow him go

Harry said and took the two sandwiches and two enclosed cup of soda with straws from the counter and walked to the table where jemmy was also seated.
He said down and sighs.
“I don’t like their sandwiches”
Jemmy said.
“Then, why did you bring me here?
Harry asked.
Jemmy smile.
“This is the nearest cafeteria and I was very hungry”
“Their sandwiches better be good or ki|| you”
Harry joked and roll down the nylon part of the sandwich before taking a huge bite from it.
He munch it around his mouth and smile.
“Gosh, this is so good”
I think you are wrong”
“Well, maybe their sandwiches are good for today”
Jemmy said after tasting it. She sip a little from her drink. She smile when she saw a little kid outside being hugged by both her mom and dad.
“I once dream of that”
Jemmy said looking at the kid outside the transparent glass walls.
“Dream of those people?”
“The family… I mean
I wanted to have a family and a kid of my own not until it’s happened, Luke happened”.
Harry quickly understand.
“Am sorry about that”
“Yeah… That dream is over anyway”
“No, it’s not… Once everything is over, you can have your full freedom and then you can find someone you love.
It’s not over yet, don’t give up”

She replied and continue with her meal.
Harry nodded and also continued. He stares at Jemmy as she eats.
“I think there are some crambs over your mouth”
Harry said.
“Oh, I didn’t notice
I didn’t even have an handkerchief”
“I can help, just stay still”
Harry replied and lean over to her. He rub off the tiny pieces of the sandwich from her mouth.
Jemmy stare at her in the eye. Harry also paused and looked at her yellowsish transparent eyeballs.
Jemmy brought her face closer and held Harry’s jaw trying to get a kiss but Harry quickly coughed.
She realized what she almost did and back off.
“Omg,am sorry”
She apologized.
“It’s okay…
Harry replied and stare at someone behind her.
“Hrm, what are you looking at?”
Harry took his stare back to Jemmy.
“Doctor James who worked at Royal London’s hospital years ago is sitting behind you”
Jemmy also looked back.
“So?
Did you two know each other?
“Yes..
That’s Lauren’s family doctor,till when she puts to bed…he has been a good doctor to Lauren herself”
“Please,don’t tell me it’s what am thinking”
Jemmy asked.
“Yes it is…
We can find what you have been doubting about”
“Yes the DNA test”
Jemmy smile.
“You once said you aren’t sure if Alex is the father of the Lauren’s baby which I told you he is cos Lauren told me herself”
“Well, the whole world can believe that cooked up story but I can’t
I know what I saw when Lauren’s baby was born
Alex isn’t the father”
“Okay?..

Jemmy smile and stood up. She turned back but doctor James was gone.
She looked around and saw him walking towards his vehicle outside the cafeteria.
She quickly rushed to him.
“Jemmy…
Harry called and also stood up, rushing over to her.
Jemmy got to stop doctor James before he enters his vehicle.
“Hi, am Jemmy”
Doctor James looked at her.
“Am sorry, do I know you?”
He asked.
“No, but am a friend of Lauren Quinn.
I was confused about the DNA test you did on Lauren’s baby years ago and it said Alex is the father which am not sure of”
“Alex is the father”
He quickly said. His heart began to race after he heard that.
“Yeah, can you show me the proof of results, please? Am investigating something am doubting”
Jemmy asked.
“No,…
He quickly stepped into his car with look of fear in his eyes before he drove off.
Harry joined her seconds later.
“What’s going on?
Why did you run off like that? ”
Harry asked.
“I think there is more to Lauren’s son.
Doctor James is hiding something and we need to find out what that is”
Jemmy replied and walked back inside.

Marcel was having a maths class with the kids when he noticed Ethan’s hands being raised in the air.
“Yes, Ethan
Do you have any questions on algebra?
Marcel asked.
“No, I want to go to the restroom”
Ethan replied.
Marcel sighs.
“Fine, five minutes”
Ethan smile and rushed out. He couldn’t wait to empty his sack that had made him uncomfortable in class for thirty minutes.
He got to the restroom and unzips his trousers before urinating.
Someone else came in.
“Someone is already in here”
He said without looking back at the person. When he saw the person refused to leave, he looked back and suddenly, his face was covered with a mask and his mouth was covered by an hand.
He couldn’t shout to attract attention and he could breathe.
He began to struggle from the person’s grip. He felt himself being lifted up and seconds later, he was someone’s shoulder.
“Quick, let’s go…
Before they noticed he is gone”
He heard a voice.
“Where have you been?
The same voice said.
“Am sorry… While I was trying to buy time, the ฦรฎtรงh threw me into police’s custody cos I unintentionally harassed her.
Ethan heard that familiar voice that replied.
“Is that not dad?
He thought.
