Lauren pulled him back to his seat and kissed
him.
Alex was surprised. The kiss got intense but
Lauren didn’t mind. Alex kissed back and held
her head to kiss her properly.
“Oh gosh, it’s happened…
Lauren thought as they continued with the kiss.
“I don’t know what came over, I just felt
attracted to him today, I felt I should have him
in my arms.
Maybe I have feelings for him?? Did I do this
because I was just in the mood?
Different thoughts ran across her mind.
Alex wasted no time. He pulled off his clothes
and went on top of her. Alex continues to eat up
her lips. He noticed Lauren was new to all this
with the way she kissed him.

Alex was already dressed for work. Lauren
came out to the living room with a shy and
embarrassed face. Alex just smiled when he
noticed it.

Lauren apologized.

“So what are we having for breakfast?

He added and walked out.

As soon as he left, Lauren breathed out.

She muttered and slam her forehead. “Gosh, it

She said remembering how their little romance
ended up.
Det Lewis popped into her mind.
“Alex is a nice man but for me to trust him, I
have to know everything about his life, his
background”
She thought and decided to call Det Lewis for

He stood up from the sofa when a knock came
on the door. He opened the door and was
surprised to see Beth.
“Beth”
He curved out a smile.
“Surprised to see me?”
She asked.
“Yeah, I thought you should be at work”

“No, I just got off from work early. There is not
much to do at the recovery department”.
Can I come in?”
“Yeah, sure… But Harry isn’t around at the
moment”

Ethan felt cold throughout all his body instantly.

Ethan wasted no time. He dragged her to
himself and looked straight into her eyes.

Beth replied and held his already long rod in

“Thanks for coming, Det Lewis”
Lauren appreciated and was surprised Det
Lewis could come to visit him.
“It’s an honor being invited here. So what’s the
issue bothering you? I also have something to
tell me but let’s hear you out first”
“Can you run a separate background check on
Ethan and Alex?
Especially Alex”
She asked.
Det Lewis was surprised by his question.
“And why a background check? Don’t you trust
them? I always thought you trusted Ethan
Baker”
“Yeah, I do… I just calmed down and began to
think why he is doing all this for me”

after Det Lewis tells her about Ethan’s
girlfriend’s murder.

say out all his secrets”

Lauren seems confused.

She said sadly and stood up. She seems to be
heading somewhere with the way she is looking
for something like her car keys.

Ethan wasted no time, he pushed her off. Beth
fell to the sofa.
