“Where are you coming from and who were you with?” Iris queried. Diana kept mute for sometime

“I was with a family friend, I missed my parent so they took me out,” Diana explained.

“Family friend? I don’t remember you guys having a family friend,” Iris said walking closer to them.

“You have known our family only for four years, you should not assume you know everything,” Draco replied.

“And you should not assume you have the liberty to act carelessly,” Iris retorted but they said nothing in return.

“We want to have dinner,” Diana said. “Dinner?” Iris repeated playing with her hair. “Yes, that is what is eaten by this time of the day right?” Draco asked.

He was suddenly mad at Iris, he had no idea why his anger for her increased. He assumed it was because he remembered their reason for hating her in the first place, Romina warned them not to pick a fight with Iris so he is trying to hide his anger.

“Thanks for the brief reminder, while you guys were away I had to take care of mum so I was unable to prepare dinner,” she said with a sad pout.

“There must be something my sister can take, she needs her energy,” Draco retorted. “Sorry guys there is nothing for you guys, you should have asked your ‘Family Friend’ to buy your dinner, ‘so that your sister can have all the energy she needs,” Iris air quoted him.

“Don’t be heartless Iris! She is sick!” He snapped pointing at pale-looking Diana. “And I am tired,” she replied and stared at them with a smirk, she has always wanted the to be wrapped around her fingers and it’s like her dream is slowly coming to pass.

“You guys have my card, don’t you? Order something,” she said knowing that is almost impossible.

“Don’t be ridiculous! No orders will be delivered by this time of the night,” Diana muttered weakly. “Seems like you are running out of battery,” Iris mocked.

“Is this funny to you? Can’t you act like a human for once?” Draco asked raising his voice. “I am not human,” Iris replied with a hysterical laugh and walked to her room.

“She is starting to show her true colors,” Draco uttered as she stared at her back view. “I feel dizzy Draco, my leg feels weak too,” Diana complained.

“You should rest,” Draco suggested and help her to the couch, she lay on it with the help of her brother.

“What do you want to eat?” Draco asked. “What’s the use? We can’t get it,” she replied.

“We should give it a try, I’m going to prepare some noodles if we don’t get our orders,” he assured and went to the room to get his phone.

Diana was in so much pain but didn’t want to show it because of her brother, her tummy was hurting so much but she assumed it was because she was hungry.

But it’s weird, Romina bought them dinner and she made sure to eat to her heart’s content. Why is she suddenly hungry?

“Diana? Are you okay?” Draco asked as he got closer to her. “Can I get some milk?” She requested with her eyes shut.

“Are you hurting anywhere?” He asked with concern. “Milk Draco,” she replied instead.

He rushed to the kitchen immediately and returned minutes later with a glass full of milk, he (Draco) helped her sit up and she drank only half of the milk.

“The order will soon be here,” he assured her as she laid back on the couch.

**********

Romina was listening to everything in her room from the remote, she knew where the problem was from.

She instructed the twins to lay low to know if Iris would use their new gullible behavior to her advantage and she did.

Romina rushed downstairs and asked the two maids she met in the kitchen to prepare something for her.

She listened to Draco hum a song while her sister has not been saying anything, it got Romina wondering how sick she is.

Romina has the food delivered to the house like it was ordered. “I think our order is here,” Draco said to Diana whose eyes were shut because of the pain she was going through.

“Thank you,” he appreciated as he collected the food. Romina heard his footsteps as he walked around the house, he sat in front of the table in the living room and started dishing out the food.

“Draco,” Diana called. “Huh,” he responded. “I am not going to eat much,” she said.

“Why? But you look like you need all of this,” he teased. “Just a little,” she replied and shut her eyes.

Romina sighed as she listened to everything, she got Elias dinner and went to the secret room. He was studying the real hard, Romina could tell with the look on his face.

“You are late,” he accused as she dropped dinner on the bed. “I’m sorry,” she apologized.

“My things?” He asked pointing at the little bag she brought along. “Yeah,” she nodded in agreement but he went to the food instead, he has been studying none stop since she left.

“Aren’t you going to eat?” He asked. “I ate about an hour ago,” she replied.

There was silence afterward Romina wanted to know what exactly was wrong with Diana before breaking the news to him.

“You look bothered, do you want to talk about it?” Hs asked still eating. “I’m not bothered about anything,” she lied staring away.

“Don’t worry too much, your mom will be fine because I’m going to do everything I can to make her better,” he assured.

‘My mom should not be our priority but your innocent siblings, I’m sorry for making them go through so much pain,’ she apologized mentally as she pictured Diana going through lots of pain.

“It’s fine, I know you can help,” she replied. “How much do you know your fiancee?” She asked.

“Why do you ask?” He inquired. “Just wanted to know what you know about her, you proposed to her so you must be aware of her good and bad sides,” she stated.

“Yeah, I know her quite well,” he replied. “How tolerant is she to kids?” Romina asked.

“Ain’t sure about other kids but she doesn’t get along with my siblings,” he replied. “I wonder why those two ganged up against her,” he added.

“What if they have a good reason for disliking her? Will you support them?” She asked.

“No, I am going to discipline them. It is not right to support a child’s stupidity,” he replied. “I have no doubt you are going to win the father of the year award if you have a child,” she joked.

“I’m not that good, I failed to raise my siblings properly,” he complained. “I think you did a great job,” she replied with a smile.

“You can’t tell because you have not met those rude guys,” he said and chuckled at his own words. “Let’s quit talking about those two, I should be able to take care of your mon if I study those,” he said pointing at the textbooks in the bag.

“You are going to need help,” she replied. “Wanna hire a teacher or you are going to help me yourself?” He asked.

“Do you need my help?” She asked. “No, you must have lots of things you are busy taking care of,” he said thoughtfully.

“Thanks but my mom is equally important,” she replied. “You are right, all mothers are important. How are you going to help me then? Are you going to tell your nanny?” He asked.

“You don’t have to worry about that, you should rest and try to crack all mysteries,” she replied. “Yes ma’am,” he saluted and they laughed.

Romina found it hard to believe that he was smiling despite everything.

The next day Romina took breakfast to Elias’s room without nanny Gloria’s awareness, she went back to the dining room after giving him the food.

“Breakfast,” Nanny Gloria said as she dropped a plate of food in front of her. “Thanks,” she replied.

“Gotten a new doctor?” Nanny Gloria asked sitting on the chair next to her. “N,o but someone is going to help,” she replied.

“Someone?” Nanny Gloria asked. “Yes, I believe you are going to be so happy when you meet her,” she said confidently.

“Her?” Nanny Gloria asked. “Yes it’s her,” she replied, nanny Gloria was distracted by the opened door.

A lady who seemed to be in her early twenties walked in with a bag in her sunglasses on her eyes and her long hair was let down.

“Good morning guys,” the lady greeted. “Is that….,” nanny Gloria trailed off pointing at the girl.
