Richmond drove inside the mansion and alighted from the car same as Marissa who rushed after him.
“Richie”she called but he kept mute as she kept on running after him. She finally caught up with him and grabbed his hand.””
“What”Richmond snapped as Marissa was surprised.””
“What’s wrong with you, you have been so moody throughout today. Are you alright”Marissa asked worriedly as they walked inside the house.”””
“Do you care about me that much”Richmond replied turning to her.””
“I really care for you because you are my lifesaver. I care for you so much””Marissa said as Richmond stared at her.”””
“Wow, thanks”Richmond exclaimed as Marissa felt something caught her attention. Her eyes landed on the picture of a lady of the wall together with Richmond. She look beautiful with her charming smile.””
“Who’s she. Is she you girlfriend or what”Marissa asked as Richmond mood darkened as he felt himself getting angry.”
“Anyway, congratulations on your relationship”he said and headed upstairs while Marissa stared at him””
“Why does it seems like he’s hiding something. Does he have a dark past? Who’s she?”many questions ran into her head as she quietly walked towards her room.””

Richmond walked inside his room and finally let out the tears he’s holding for so long as it rolled down his face.
He folded his fist tightly as the memories of the past filled his mind. He recalled what exactly happened that night.
FLASHBACK
THREE YEARS AGO
Lyla was watching the TV with her attention fully concentrated on the kdrama. Them Richmond tiptoed out of the kitchen and walked slowly towards her.
He finally got to her and start tickling her as Lyla spranged up looking backwards.
Her face softened as she stared at Richmond who was giggling silently.
“Are you okay”he asked walking towards her””
“Gosh, you scared me”Lyla pouted her lips and sat on the couch as Richmond began to tick her.””
“Come in stop tickling me”Lyla laughed loudly as both fell on th conch.””
“Becareful, don’t hurt our baby please”Richmond said pecking her lips.”
Lyla break the kiss and stared at him with love in her eyes.
“I love you so much”Lyla said as they stared at each other””
“I love you too and I promise to be the best boyfriend in the world”Richmond replied as they kissed each other passionately.””
Richmond’s phone rang and they break the kiss as Richmond got up from the conch and looked at the caller ID. It was no other person but his mother Bianca.
“I will be back babe, give me some minutes”he said and excused himself. He walked out of the house and picked the call””
“What do you want”he asked coldly””
“I can see that you still with that ugly thing, remember you are betrothed to someone else. Better end things with her or you will regret it”Benita yelled over the phone.
“Is that all you have to say”Richmond asked””
“Arrgh” he heard Lyla’s screams and ended the call before rushing inside the house.”
Unfortunately, the unexpected happen; he met Lyla In the pool of her own blood with a knife stuck inside her stomach as the phone fell from his hand crashing on the ground.
“Lyla”he screamed rushing towards her as hot tears rolled down his checks. “Don’t leave me please”
I…lo..ve..y.you rich. Take care of yourself”Lyla said weakly as she closed her eyes and gave up a ghost and her hand dropped.
Richmond felt his world crumblies into pieces as he stared at the dead Lyla on the ground.
“Nooo”he screamed shaking her body.””
FLASHBACK ENDS
“I will make sure I find the murderer where he or she is, I promise you Lyla”he screamed shaking immediately as she fell on his knees.””
Marissa climbed upstairs and rushed inside his room after hearing the loud screams. She met Richmond who was crying still on his knees and pulled him into a hug.
“Can you stop crying, everything will be fine”Marissa said patting his back till he fell asleep on her shoulder.””
She sighed and manage to carry him and dropped him on the bed and removed his shirt before covering him with the duvet.
“You must have been passing through a lot” she said and took one glance at her before walking out of the room.””

Lauren smiled and walked out of the car heading to the mail when she bumped into someone as the person quickly put on his cap hiding his face and walked away.
“Are you”Lauren widened her yes as she perceived the same fragrance.””
“Angelo”she called but the guy increased his pace.”Angelo”””
“Lauren went after him as the guy moved to a crowded place and she didn’t saw him again.”
“Maybe it’s not him”she said and walked back to the mail as Angelo who was hiding in a corner pulled off the cap breathing heavily.””
“I can’t let her find me, I need to be careful””Angelo muttered and walk away.”””

HAMPTON’S MANSION
Mrs Monica was watching the TV when Nora walked downstairs with a sad look on her face.
“What’s wrong with you my daughter”Mrs Monica asked.””
It’s Marissa”Nora replied sitting beside her.”
“What is it that, did she try to hurt you”Mrs Monica asked and before Nora could speak, a knock sounded at the door as they glanced at themselves.””
“Are you expecting anyone home”Nora asked her mom””
“No,”Mrs Monica replied and went to the door and opened it revealing Mr Adams on the door.””
She gasped in shock staring at him same as Nora who’s heart was beating loudly.
“What! Are you not happy to see me”Mr Adams asked as they put on a fake smile and let him in and took his bags.””
“Welcome back from the trip”Mrs Monica said as Mr Adams nodded his head.””
“You are welcome dad”Nora said and pulled him into a hug as they later disengaged from the hug.
Thanks, by the way. Where is Marissa”Mr Adams asked as Mrs Monica frozed on her spot.”
“I sent her out of the house together with her bags”Mrs Monica stammered as a loud resounding slap landed on her check.””
