Steadily, Ariel’s hand met with the doorknob and she twisted it slowly. The door opened and she tiptoed inside, closing the door gently.
After she successfully did that, she heaved a sigh of relief. The whole house was dark which signifies that everyone has been asleep since it’s past 11pm.
“Perfect,” she smirked before walking normally to the stairs.
Just as she stepped on the staircase, the whole house suddenly brightened as the light was switched on.
Her legs froze on the spot and her eyes widened. Was she caught? Nah, it’s a hallucination maybe.
That was her thoughts, not until…
“Young lady, where are you coming from?” That was her Dad’s angry voice.
The erratic beating of Ariel’s heart could almost be heard in the house as her heart couldn’t stop beating fast in fear.
Slowly, she turned and her eyes widened the more when she saw her Mom.
Weren’t they asleep? Then, why was the light off?
“I believe you’ve not gone deaf, or have you?” Her Dad yelled.
Ariel shivered, clutching her handbag tight.
“Have you checked the time before coming home? For Christ sake, you’re engaged, Ariel! What if your fiance saw you? Or his parents?” Her Mom shouted.
“I’m sorry,” Ariel mumbled, lowering her gaze to the ground.
“Where are you coming from, Ariel?” Her Dad asked.
“I… From a friend’s, I slept off” Ariel lied, cursing Tony already in her mind.
“You should be careful, Ariel. We can’t possibly make any mistakes and if you’re not interested in the marriage, then just let us know your Dad is gonna cancel it,” Her Mom said.
“I’m sorry, I won’t do that again,” That was the word that Ariel could say.
Where would she tell them she was coming from? Her male friend’s house where they just had a hot three some?? They’ll probably ki|| her and all she could do was to shut up.
“Greg is never going to allow that, he needs our support right now,” Ariel’s Dad said.
“Right. Just be careful, okay? We don’t want our reputation ruined,” Her Mom said
“I will,” Ariel smiled and rushed to her room immediately.
She stripped herself and went to have her shower since her body stinks so bad.
She was settling for the night when she received a message from Tony.

Ariel scoffed after she was done reading the message. She threw her phone to the bed before lying on her back, covering herself with the duvet.
“He almost got me ruined,” she mumbled to herself.

NEXT DAY~WINK MODELLING AGENCY***
“That was great! Ashley, redo his makeup please,” The Director said to Ashley, the make-up artist.
Ashley went to Axel and handed a handkerchief to him which Axel used to wipe the sweat on his face
He handed it to her back before giving her a light smile.
“Can you go ahead please? I’d like to have a brief moment with the Director,” he said.
“Sure, but don’t be long. Your next $h00t takes place in just 30 mins time,” Ashley said.
Axel nodded before walking to the Director who was busy talking with one of the crew. He waited patiently till the Director was done before moving closer.
“Yea Axel, do you need anything?” The Director smiled warmly at Axel
“Yes. Is it possible for me not to go to Canada? I mean, I’ve thought about it and… I’m doing fine, aren’t I? Can’t I do without going there?” Axel asked, hiding the desperation in his voice. He can’t possibly stay away from Melanie for three years, it’s going to ki|| him.
“Why?” Was the only word that came out of the Director’s mouth.
“Is it your Father?” He asked again.
“No. I just don’t…”
“Look here, Axel. I don’t know who you’re doing this for, but just know that your future lies here. If it’s about your education, the agency is going to sponsor you throughout the term, you’ll be highlighted in the right way. Why else do you want to refuse this huge offer?” The Director asked. He could never believe someone to be having a hard time over something so beneficial as this.
“You have just two weeks left, Axel. Take away all doubts and be positive, I want the best for you, Axel. I know what I see in you, don’t ki|| it away,” The Director said.
“Director, can I see you for a moment?” A female voice asked behind them.
“Yes” The Director looked at Axel.
“Axel, make a wise decision please” he muttered before walking away.
Axel heaved a deep sigh before palming his face with a groan. It’s been a week, yet he still doesn’t know how to break down the news to Melanie.
It’s definitely going to break her, and he h@ťěs that. He h@ťěs seeing her in pain especially when he’s the cause of it.

MONASH UNIVERSITY***
Aaron was standing by a wall, pressing his phone when a girl walked up to him, she was putting on a mini black gown.
He took his eyes away before continuing operating on his phone.
“Here you are, I’ve been searching all around for you,” the girl pouts when she finally gets to him. She held his arm and rested her shoulder on it.
“What do you want?” Aaron simply asked, not making an attempt to remove her head from his arm.
“Isn’t it obvious? I’ve been asking for your attention and you aren’t giving that to me, it hurts,” the girl said with a hint of sadness in her voice.
Aaron was about to utter a word when he felt a pair of two eyes boring holes into his body.
He stared ahead and he was right, Lauren was busy glaring at him angrily. She had an ice cream cone in her hand.
Aaron smirked before looking at the lady beside him. He raised his hand and touched her hair, brushing it gently.
“You wanna be my girlfriend?” He asked in a segzy voice which got the girl wet immediately.
d@mn, why did he have to suddenly use this voice – the girl thought, squeezing her thighs tightly.
“Yes please, I want to be your girlfriend,” she managed to say.
Aaron raised her head from his shoulder before cupping her cheek. He glanced at Lauren’s direction to find her still glaring hard at him, her hands knotted in a fist.
He chuckled before staring at the girl who was staring at him impatiently.
“Do you want to know something?” He whispered, leaning his face closer to hers. He brushed his lips on her cheek and the girl shivered immediately, her hand clutching on his shirt.
“What? You wanna take this to a room?” She whispered, biting her lips.
“No,” Aaron laughed. He bent to her ears and then whispered…
“My girlfriend is digging holes into your body right now,”
The girl’s eyes widened and she pulled back to stare at him.
“What?”
Aaron chuckled and stood straight, he inserted his hand into his pocket and stared at Lauren’s direction but she wasn’t there anymore.
The smile wiped out off his face completely and he quickly looked around but she was nowhere to be seen.
“Goddammnit,” he cursed.
“Aaron? Who’s your girlfriend? Who?” The girl kept asking but he was already out of sight.

Aaron couldn’t stop staring around hoping to catch a glimpse of Lauren but it was futile.
“f-__-k,” he breathed out, ruffling his hair.
His phone rang in his hand and he checked the ID, it was Axel calling.
“Hey buddy,” he muttered after picking the call.
“Right now?” He asked.
“Okay, I’ll be there” he ended the call and took another direction, heading to their suite.

A4’S SUITE***
The whole room was as silent as a graveyard. Everyone was lost in his own thoughts after the confession from Axel.
“You mean… You’ll be gone for three years?” Aiden finally spoke, breaking the silence.
Axel nodded, his face was buried in his palms.
“Is Melanie aware of this?” Ace asked.
“No,” Axel breathed out.
“What? Are you f-__-king kidding me? Why the hell haven’t you told her yet? You have just two weeks left and she still isn’t aware of this?!” Aaron asked, almost yelling.
“Or… Are you planning on leaving without telling her?” His eyes widened a bit.
“He wouldn’t dare,” Ace growled.
“That’s gonna break her dude, you should tell her now before it’s too late,” Aiden said.
“I don’t know how…. She’s gonna be heartbroken, I don’t want to hurt her,” Axel whispered.
“I can’t stay away from her, I’m addicted to her already. I can’t do without seeing her for a day but three years? It’s gonna ki|| me,” he said in a hoarse voice.
Aaron sighed before moving closer to him, he placed his arm around his shoulder.
“I know, but you’ve got to do this, it’s your future we’re talking about here. Melanie will understand, I’m sure she wants all the best for you. You just have to tell her, and you can do it too” he muttered.
“If it’s about leaving her behind, then you’ve got us here for you. We’re going to stay by her side till you return. We’ll make sure no dude comes across her and we’ll make sure she won’t be sad or lonely,” Aiden said.
“You’re not in this alone Axel, you have us. We’ll always do anything for you. We’ll take care of Melanie till you return. Three years is long but we can do it…. You can do it, don’t relent Axel,” Ace said.
“I don’t know what I’d have done without you guys by my side,” Axel’s voice shook which got the guys amazed.
“Wait… Are you about to cry?” Aiden asked with widened eyes.
“He loves Melanie too much. Still can’t believe this is the same Axel that I know,” Aaron chuckled.
“Like…. He’s totally changed, but I love this side of him more” Ace grinned.
Axel only sighed. Melanie was the only thing on his mind now… How was she going to take it?
