Crown hospital ***
Andre opened his eyes and held his head in pain.
He looked by his side to see a drip by him then his eyes landed on Rania as he kept looking around the room.
She didn’t know he had woken up, she was changing her clothes. He watched her strip off her wet dress and wore something else before cladding herself again in a coat.
“Nora” He called and Rania faced him.
“Andre” She smiled and rushed to his side.
“How do you feel?” She asked, softly.
“I feel sore but good that you are here” Andre grinned.
“I will go call the doctor to check up on you” Rania said and tried leaving but he held her back.
“Don’t leave… me yet” Andre pouted.
She helped him in sitting up but he interrupted her.
“Thanks for giving him a good beating” Andre laughed and pain made him zip up his lips.
Rania laughed, “So you were watching?”
“I wouldn’t miss it for the world” Andre chuckled as gently as he could.
“I enjoyed it too” Rania smiled and put a pillow behind his back.
“He really hurt you, how could you endure that all this while?” Rania asked and held his hand.
“I don’t know, it’s because I have nowhere to go or anything, ” Andre replied.
Rania sighed and sat down beside him.
“Andre, you aren’t a kid anymore, you have to grow up” Rania said seriously while looking him straight in the eyes.
“Many young people are orphans but they fend for themselves and make something great out of their lives. I have cashed the money from your credit card and rented a hotel with some of the money and you can stay there once you are discharged from the hospital”Rania smiled.
“But on a serious note, you aren’t a baby, you’ve got the grow the f-__-k up and build your life. You love singing and doing other things. I am sure that you can do gigs and start getting money, Rome wasn’t built in a day” Rania advised.
Andre knew she was right and he had to start his life.
“How about you?”
“Me?” Rania smiled sadly. “I can never go back to Simon’s house, I need space but I don’t really have anywhere to go”
“What did Simon do to you and what happened to your lips?” Andre asked suspiciously and placed his finger on her lip.
“Nothing” Rania lied.
“Did Simon hit you?” Andre gasped.
Rania knew hell would break loose if she told him the truth.
“No, Celine and I had a fight” Rania lied and averted his gaze.
“Are you saying… the truth?”
Rania nodded in a positive light.
“Since you don’t have anywhere to go then…” Andre trailed off.
“What are you suggesting?” Rania asked while staring at his bruised but handsome face.
“Let’s live together” He proposed and her eyes widened.

Three days later, Andre reached school and all the girls were giving him the attention as usual but they all went mute when Rania came to his side and kissed his lips.
“What the heck?”
“She’s his girlfriend now?”
“Why not me?!!”
Rania smiled, enjoying their comments.
“Andre!!!” A girl screamed and ran to hug Andre.
Rania was shocked.
“Rory” Andre gasped. He was shocked to see her.
“What are you doing here?” Andre asked,curiously.
“I was transferred here,” Rory smiled.
“What happened to your face?” She asked and touched his face.
“Nothing” Andre moved backwards.
Rory looked by his side and saw Rania whom she cast a disdainful stare at. She h@ťěd seeing girls much prettier than her.
“Who’s this?”
“I’m his girlfriend,” Rania retorted.
“Girlfriend?”
“Yes and Andre, who is she?” Rania asked, feeling irritated that she had hugged him.
Andre could see the anger in her eyes, she looked like she had a boiling kettle on her head.
“Actually, she’s my ex-girlfriend… I mean old girlfriend”
Rory was shocked.
“Really?” Rania raised her eyebrows in disbelief.
“Yes, because it is written that old things have passed away and all things have become new,” Andre said, reciting the Bible.
The both of them stared at him in shock.
“What do you mean by old?” Rory yelled.
“You are his old girlfriend, were you deaf when he said it?” Rania glared at ready for a fight.
Andre knew there was trouble and he didn’t have the strength for their fight.
“I meant that I shall leave you both, my sisters in the lord to sort out your issues” Andre giggled awkwardly and left the both of them.
“Hallelujah,” Andre yelled.
“Amen!”
Neither Rania or Rory could close their mouths.
