{A DEAL?}
Valerie was on the bed crying really hard making her jaw drop.
“Mom!” She called out loudly making Valerie freeze, she turned to her in shock and quickly wiped the traces of tears in her eyes.
“What happened? Why the tears?” Thelma asked concernly, moving closer to Valerie. She sat beside her on the bed.
“You’re back early…. Did something happen at work? I was expecting you” Valerie said cleverly averting the question with continuous sneeze.
” There was nothing to do at the office” Thelma answered still giving her that intensed and inquisitive look causing Valerie to chuckle.
“I wasn’t crying actually…. Something got into my eyes and I was trying to make it leave by… By forcing tears out” Valerie stuttered but Thelma wasn’t buying that. She continued staring at her
“Why am I not believing that?”
” What other reason would make a grown up woman like me cry. I have a roof over my head and the best daughter in the world, I’m good” Valerie said with a smile while stroking Thelma’s hair fondly. Thelma returned the smile doubtingly
“Will my prosecutor daughter be working on the bomb case? I heard it is a big issue” Valerie inquired
“No, I have something more important to do” Thelma replied staring into the space and that got Valerie narrowing her gaze at her
” Which is?”
“Getting a boyfriend”
Valerie’s eyes widened in shock as Thelma said that
“What?!? Why am I not believing that?”
” I’m being serious” She answered with a knowing smile

The F4 and Jade stood before the huge pile of cash in the safe. Fabian went closer touching it with his hands. The money realized from the selling house has been added to it.
“These are my dream” He said
” Just say you’re greedy when it comes to money. You even embezzled money in the conglomerate and blamed it all on a worker, who does that?” Jade retorted with an eyes roll
” Fabian Javer Kings” Fabian answered with an air of pride
” When are we going to be sharing the money?” He added glancing from one person to another but no one gave him a reply.
” When the right time comes” Felix said after a while
Festus phone suddenly buzzed loudly and he took it out to check. A smile appeared on his face as he saw the message.
“The Russian is doing a great job so far by keeping quiet. The cops will have no choice than to send him to Russia for his trial because it is illegal to persecute an alien” Festus said
“So… We’ll send him far away to another country and the case would be closed right? I knew that you would do a great job” Felix added
“And you should also refrain from making absurd decisions. You won’t be that lucky next time” Jade cautioned

Thelma’s jaw dropped as her assistant dropped some files on the table. She grabbed it immediately going through it. There were some pictures attached to it
“The police couldn’t get the CCTV footage of the scene since the camera was faulty at that point. The CCTV camera only captured a few minutes to 10 o’clock and it suddenly went blank which I find very strange, more like it was tampered with” The assistant reported
Thelma nodded her head showing understanding while urging her to go on
“And luckily I got a footage from the CCTV by the road side. I monitored and investigated all the cars which moved between 10 o’clock and 11pm that night. And of all, only one seems strange. It had an unregistered plate number” The assistant continued
Thelma banged her fist on the table as a crazy thought hits her. She turned to her assistant with remote eyes
“I want you to find out everything and when I say everything about that car. Can you perhaps track it? There has to be something….something we can use to get the actual information” Thelma said rubbing her temples in a circular manner and it somehow helped her calm down
“I’ll see if I can do that and get back to you”
” This is just getting more interesting” Thelma muttered tilting her head sideways

“Why are you here?” Father Micheal asked with a frown which Thelma returned immediately.
“You think that i don’t deserve an apology?”
“For?”
“For calling me a corrupt prosecutor, and one who was bribed to cover up a case…. You think that I don’t deserve an apology for sure harsh words?” Thelma repeated
” I was only stating facts, that’s what you are” Father Micheal retorted
“You think so?” She muttered with a slight scoff
“I know so” He replied
” How?”
” I can see it in your eyes, you look like one who would do anything for fame and money”
” The same way I know that you’re not really a priest” She retorted moving closer to him like a predator would move to its prey
“I have a deal to make with you…. To prove you wrong about me, let’s solve Mr Garry’s murder case together and in return, you do wh@ťěver I wish for” She proposed looking straight in his eyeballs
