CHAPTER NINE
MIA
Don’t tell me there really is a man you have in mind? Blue asked sipping slowly from the wine in her glass.
We are both currently sitting at the VIP section of The Swiss Hotel.
We would have gone for any restaurant but then… Blues fans are d@mn scary.
She’s been disturbing my brain with too many questions since she arrived here.
Well…. I was saying when she cut me off.
There is a man? She asked with wide eyes.
Jeez girl, chill! I half yelled bursting into laughter.
I’m just trying to be careful, she replied with a crease in her brows.
Do you really not want a man in your life Blue? I asked with concern.
Well its not the right time, she defended as usual.
I’ve seen the way you turned down men, you don’t even like to interact with them, I pointed out.
Those perverts, she murmured.
You really h@ťě the other gender huh? I asked with a smile.
I don’t know Mia, they just don’t excite me, she replied drowning the rest of the wine in her glass…
I guess date is over, I said standing up.
You really had mom tricked, how did you do that? she asked joining me as we walked out of the hotel.
I figured mom wants you to get a man by all means, I had to tell her you have a boyfriend already but you are scared of her reaction, that’s why you haven’t told her yet, simple.
And she believed you? Just like that?
As long as you aren’t single, I guess mom doesn’t mind, I replied.
You are right, she replied with a smile.
I pulled her box out and began dragging it into my two bedroom apartment.
I can’t believe this, Blue exclaimed walking ahead of me like she has the keys.
Hurry up, she cooed shaking her body dramatically.
What are you so exvited about? i asked pulling the rolling box to a stop.
I’m spending two weeks away from home Mia!
Its enough to get me on the top of this building, screaming!
What the hell! I blurted out laughing.
Hurry, she said again snatching the key from me.
She unlocked the door and ran in, leaving me standing dumbfounded but genuinely happy for her.

Few minutes later, I was sitting on the counter throwing some cookies into my mouth as I discussed with Blue who was treating me to a gratitude meal.
I watched as she picked up a garlic clove then threw it aside,making sure it wasn’t anywhere close to her cooking.
She loves garlic but I don’t.
I guess she almost used it when she remembered I don’t like it,she had to toss it, for me.
You have a good job, you are doing pretty well, you earn more than me, why then is mom still this way towards you? I asked, watching as her body got tense for a second then she smiled.
Mom must have her reasons, I’m sure, she defended as she went to the pot.
All i I twisted my nose but kept mute.

Evenius stood at the border staring at the shiny Purple light which looked so beautiful.
King Wright was sitting on the bare ground with his legs crossed, his two hands swaying like one doing a ballet dance.
The only difference is he was sitting.
He and Evenius has been on this for the past twenty five years.
They have tried all they could to hear the heartbeat of their Luna but as usual, nothing.
King Wright decided to find a means to cross the border.
He has to go find her by himself but for the past few years, all the spells he has tried has proved abortive.
There has to be a way, he murmured in his head trying his best to think of something.
His deep and scary growlings was all was heard.
Evenius tore his eyes away from the border as he watched his king with pity.
Dont give me pity looks! King Wright snapped, his eyes still shut
Pardon me, Your Majesty, The Seer pleaded falling on his knees immediately.
Get the books, King Wright ordered and Evenius rushed over to the books on the floor.
He carried the heavy books to King Wright who got up.
He stretched his hands and the ten big books was placed carefully on his hands.
They both shut their eyes as the Seer placed his left hand below,then his right hand on the book.
King Wright did the same but his right hand was under while his left hand was placed on top of Evenius’ hand.
Wait, he said suddenly and the seer opened his eyes.
Your Majesty? he called looking at the king.
Ignoring him, King Wright took the book they placed their hands on and threw it to the floor carefully.
Your Majesty? The seer called again.
Lets continue, He said and the Seer obeyed.
They shut their eyes and started all over again.
Few seconds into their inaudible chanting, the books were gone.
The Seer went over and grabbed more copies and they did the same ritual.
Twelve years after their Luna got missing, Evenius came up with the idea of sending The Ancient Story Of the White Horse Kingdom to the modern world.
Since it might be impossible for them to go in there, they sent their legacy instead.
Their Luna is likely to find it and read it.
Maybe that would help her realize who she really is.
Since they had no idea what the modern would is like, they sent several copies.
Using his scent and that of the Seer, the book would only go staright to areas where they have their kind.
Her heart beat might have been blocked from his hearing but her scent hasn’t.
Her scent is what has kept his hope alive but he couldn’t locate her exact location from across the border.
The books would go to different libraries and get settled in any free spot.
They have succeeded in sending several copies of the first book which everyone in white horse kingdom knows about.
Years later, The King instructed The Seer to update the book.
Since the first book didn’t hint so much about his mate,he wanted his Luna to read about her birth and how she got missing.
Everything about her and the recent activities in the kingdom,leaving nothing behind including his cruel nature.
It took The Seer Five years to come up with the story then write several more copies which they just sent out to libraries.
Your Majesty? The Seer called showing the King the last copy.
The one he threw on the floor.
I have an idea,the King said stooping to pick up the book.
It had a thick black and gold cover.
It looked like one of those big magical books.
And that made it easier for people to notice at the library each time they go there.
Everyone who loved supernatural stories wanted to read it because felt real to them.
But they would never believe its not mere fiction but a true life story which is still existing.
What do you have in mind Your Majesty?
I have to go in there myself, he said and Evenius almost burst into laughter.
He sounded serious but then,they have been trying to get in for years!
But your Majesty, its not possible right now, the Seer replied with a bow
I know that, The King replied staring at the book.
The book can go right? he asked and the Seer nodded.
He was stating the obvious, its no news.
Then I have to go inform of a book? he said in a questioning tone making the seer burst into laughter.
The King frowned.
I’m sorry Your Majesty, Evenius apologized immediately.
But how do you….. do you want to turn to a book? the seer asked looking scared.
How can their king turn himself to a book?!
He won’t let that happen!
Never!
Let’s go, we return tomorrow,the King said as Evenius sighed in relief.
Since they didn’t come with their horses or the palace carriage for secrecy sake.
They teleported back the same way they came.

Let me understand you,you mean I have to hang out with that colleague of yours? Why?! Blue asked almost bursting in anger.
Look mom thinks you are in a relatuinship already, we have to send her pictures you know, she asked you to…
But I don’t have to send mom any pictures? I can just stay here with you, go to work from here till the two weeks is over, Blue said not having her sisters idea at all.
I understand you don’t like Ricardo but he’s the best option for us right now.
But..
Look it’s just for the pictures, he would be willing to help us,you know he likes you,Mia said with a wink.
That’s the problem Mia, his feelings!
Okay,this is what we are going to do, I will call him tomorrow morning, we would discuss this with him and make him understand its all for mom, you know, I’m sure he won’t attach his emotions.
What do you think? Mia asked.
But… the public, if they see us together…. you know the press, also bloggers, Blue expressed her fears.
Yeah that’s true, they can’t see you both together…….

No, I have an idea! Mia screamed jumping on the bed beside Blue.
She grabbed Blues wig and pulled it off.
What are you doing?
No wig for two weeks, nobody knows how you look when you are bald, I’m sure won’t even recognize you, Mia said in excitement.

No, come on Blue, you don’t look like a ghost at all.
A cancer patient then,Blue said.

Are you sure? Blue asked not sure if its a good idea.

Blue nodded with teary eyes.
Thanks Mia,she said hugging her sister.
No thanks, thanks for letting me help you,Mia replied with a smile.
We should go to bed now,we have so much fun time ahead of us, Mia added pulling her sister to lie properly.
She layed beside Blue,placing her head on Blues chest.
Smiling Blue adjusted properly,makimg sure she was comfortable then she placed her hand on her hair caressing it.
I missed you, Blue confessed.
Me too, Mia tried with a smile as they both shut their eyes,prepared to sleep.
