CHAPTER FORTY TWO
Uncle? Blue called on seeing the man’s face.
It was Daphane’s dad, Mr Enoch.
(For those who don’t remember Daphane, she was the little girl who was helped when the twins were born, Blues friend)
She jumped on his body, hugging him as the tears she’s been withholding since poured out freely.
She finally got to cry out her frustration and he did well to console her without saying a word.
He tapped her back gently as he kissed her hair.
Uncle Enoch, dad… my dad is gone, she cried
Uncle Enoch, it wasn’t me… I didn’t do it, she cried.
Its alright, I know, he said warmly.
Thinking about being a suspect to her fathers death made her cry more.
Uhm… Blue? He called tapping her softly.
She sniffed then lifted her face which was wet from tears.
He brought out a blue handkerchief and helped her wipe her face then handed it to her.
Thanks, she muttered.
Its fine, here, he said pulling out his laptop.
She watched as he transferred some files from the laptop to the phone on his laps then he handed the phone to her.
She stared at him then at the phone.
Your dad… he wants you to have that,I sent you a file, check it out as soon as you can.
My.. my dad? How? When did he…
You will find out everything you need to know when you go through the phone, he said with a smile and she nodded.
Here, he said again handing her a medium bag which she recognized immediately.
It belongs to Daphane…
She misses you, she asked you take care of yourself and make sure you are safe, she says she will patiently wait to see you even if it takes years, he said like he was reciting something and Blue couldn’t help but chuckle.
She could already picture Daphane dishing out instructions to her dad and forcing him to memorize everything she says.
A lone tear dropped out of her eyes,she sure was going to miss Daphane more that her job or even her boring life.
Is she alright? she asked with a smile wiping her tears.
She is, she said to tell you that you would make a perfect queen, he said and her eyes widened.
He saw her expression and smiled.
They already told us everything, he said pointing at the brothers outside.
How?
When? she asked in surprise.
He told her about how her dad called him and informed him about the camera he installed in his house which he allowed him use when he was in trouble.
He told how he heard his house burnt down the next day then rushed down there, luckily the camera was safe, the police didn’t find it, neither did her mother (Saraphina)
Dad was burnt alive? Blue asked in an alarming tone.
You will find out everything that happened that day in the file I sent, he said then pulled her fragile body into a hug.
He pecked her forehead then gave her a warm smile.
Be safe my dear he said and she nodded.
Reluctantly, he got down and she almost ran after him.
But she knew she couldn’t.
She knew she wasn’t safe in the human world until her name is cleared, besides she isn’t even human, so she obviously doesn’t belong here.
There was no point.
Slowly she adjusted in her seat when she saw the three guys walking back to the car.
Tears poured freely out of her eyes as she imagined her father burning to death.
She wished she could see for herself but wasn’t she she wanted to see that.
How are you feeling, August asked when he sat beside her.
She was hugging Beiber really close to her body.
Let her be, the driver said and August glared at him.
It was obvious they weren’t close.
Blue could feel the tension between them but chose not to ask.
Instead she talked about something else, can we go already? she said glaring at the driver.
She didn’t care who offended who,She already picked sides and she was on August’s side.
The guy at the front bowed respectfully, he wasnt glaring anymore, he hit the road immediately.
Blue held onto Beiber as she caressed the phone, she badly wanted to go through the files but she felt she shouldn’t, just yet.
She didn’t know what was in there, she didn’t know if it was going to break her more, so she just held it like her life depended on it.
Her eyes landed on the bag and she picked it up, taking a deep nervous breath, she unzipped it.
The first thing her eyes landed on were books, a lot of it.
Excited, she started checking their names.
Daphane sure knows what she likes, she knew she would need books, she picked up a familiar book, it was that big book she was reading few days ago.
The book that started her misery.
She stared at it with mixed feelings.
Was it misery or discovery?
She couldn’t tell yet.
If this journey, this new world was going to be miserable, if she would regret it or if she was going to be grateful she finally found her home.
Home? she muttered to herself.
She wondered if she was going to find a home in White Horse Kimgdom.
She wondered how they all looked like.
Are they talking animals?
If they aren’t.
Would they also look like the humans,just like her?
Is she an animal too or just a witch?
If she is an animal, which one? Her thoughts made her chuckle which made them all look at her.
Embarrassed, she smiled to herself and bent her head.
I would love to be a cute little cat, she thought lifting Beiber up.
For the first time since she found out his identity, she smiled at him and he wiggled his cute little tail in excitement.
How do you talk to him? She suddenly asked August.
Huh? he tensed up.
Relax, will you, she replied with a chuckle.
How do you talk to Beiber…. oh I mean… Wright, she called his name with a wide smile on her face.
They all stared at her like she suddenly grew horns.
How can she call their King by his name? They thought but don’t matter a word.
Beiber wiggled his tail again, it was obvious he was excited.

King Wright was was having a meeting with all supernatural creature leaders smiled brightly on his seat even though what they were discussing was about dethroning him since he neither had a mate or a child nor a royal concubine.
The ki||ings in the kingdom was on the rise as well.
While they threw in their harsh words, King Wright grinned from ear to ear.
His name has never sounded segzier.
Evenuis stared at him.
He was looking pale and sad previously but seeing the king smile made him wonder what was happening.
He knew where his mind was and that made him wish he could see what he was seeing too.
The Kings smile was contagious, it made him smile too as he remembered his near death experience.
He remembered how he already got ready to die as he hung around on the rope he tied on his old house ceiling when he suddenly woke up and found himself on a bed.
The same bed he woke up twenty five years ago when he almost died.
This time the king was glaring at him.
How dare you! You growled at him like he’s been waiting for him to wake up.
Your Ma….. he was about saying but couldn’t speak, his throat was dry and painful.
You are not allowed to die until I say so,don’t ever try anything as stupid as this or I’ll ki|| you! He thr_@tened amd Evenuis almost chuckled.
But reality dawned on him again.
That meams he’s back to sucking the kings life.
Your Majesty, you should have let me die,he cried
I have already lived enough, I would have died years ago but here I am, sucking up your life, please your majesty, just let me go already, I promise I won’t h@ťě you for it.
You have done a lot for me already,I can’t watch you die when I….
You aren’t the one sucking up my life, King Wright replied cutting him off.
What?
The King smiled briefly.
I can see my star same way you see it, I know what you saw but dying is not going to make me live longer,that’s not the solution your duty is to find! The king yelled the last part.
I’m sorry, Forgive me Your Majesty, Evenuis replied getting up from the bed quickly.
Where do you think you are going!
Your Majesty… I… I need to find a solution for Your Majesty, he replied with a bow and the king growled under his breath.
The Solution is far across the borders of this kingdom, the King said and Evenuis almost stopped breathing.
If the solution is across the border that’s means its almost impossible.
No one can cross over to get it.
Or is it his mate?
Will he die if she never comes?
Your Majesty….
My mate is not the solution,King Wright answered his thought.

Gather all the leaders, the King commanded and walked away leaving him stunned.
Remembering this made Evenuis shift uncomfortably in his seat.
If their queen and Luna is not the solution then what is?
How do they find it?
He glanced at the King, he was still smiling.
It was like he was completely blocked out from their yellings.
One of the leaders who was speaking noticed the strange smile on the kings face and got confused.
Is he excited to be dethroned?
Your Majesty? he called and the King looked at him.
His attention wasn’t away from them, he wasn’t lost in thought like he thought.
She is coming, the king announced ignoring what they were all talking about.
Who is coming, your majesty? Another leader asked
My Luna, the king dropped the bombshell and they all stared,dumbfounded.
The men on the Kings side rejoiced while the likes of Lancelot gnashed their teeth as he watched the few people he was able to gather on his side smile and join others in rejoicing.
They had no other reason to dethrone him.
The king walked out of the meeting hall happily, he got to the stable and found his cute white horse waiting like he knew he was coming.
He whistled in excitement as he carefully cleaned the excited horse up.
He kept whispering inaudible words like he always does whenever he’s alone with the horse.
Everyone knew he had a great bond with his personal horse but no one knew why or what the bond was, same way none of them knew how the horse came to be or how old the horse is.
Just like him, the horse hasn’t aged, it still looks very young and agile.
The horse got better treatment than anyone in the whole kingdom.
His stable was a lot bigger than the houses of some leaders.
To some people, the horse was where he gets his strength from.
Some think the horse is like his god.
Everyone in the kingdom has their own opinion about the horse but the secret of The White Horse of the White Horse Kingdom is only known to both of them.
Its finally happening, the King whispered with a smile as he brushed his hairs.
The horse relaxed his head on King Wright’s palm with his eyes shut as they bonded.
Today, he wasn’t taking the horse out, today he was visiting the horse in his home to spend time.
They both stayed as silence engulfed them.
They spoke to each other but without words.
