CHAPTER THIRTY THREE
Evenuis sent a mind link to Maya who flew to his location immediately.
They both were seated opposite each other in silence, each lost in their own thoughts..
Evenuis already told her about what he saw, he couldn’t bear to keep his revelation to himself this time.
He has never needed to contact Maya or any witch over any of his revelations.
His revelations always came with solutions, even the slightest direction but this time, all he sees is darkness…
He had no answer to his questions.
It seemed the moon goddess had shut him out, but why?
Maya stood up and began pacing around..
How about i try… I try getting answers? Maya asked, stuttering.
How do you plan doing that?
The staff… we can use the staff for the ritual..
But your cultivation….?
I reached the fifth stage yesterday, I can finally lift the staff,she said in excitement which didn’t show much since they weren’t in the mood for celebration.
Wow, Evenius exclaimed, it was obviously faked.
He was happy for her but he was more nervous and confused.
It was supposed to be great news for them but it was a great news that came at the wrong time and Maya understood, she was grateful even though the smile she saw on his face was merely faked to boost her ego.
Let’s go? Maya said pointing behind her.

Sneakily, She landed at the back of the sacred room.
She looked around her for anyone who could tell on her,luckily no one was in sight.
Just when she was about taking a step, her eyes landed on someone staring keenly at her.
A man dressed in a red long robe covering his whole body and face, his eyes sending her body on a frenzy and she did the next thing anyone else would do.
She screamed..
His strong palm covered her mouth immediately as he chuckled then pulled the cape of his long robe off his head.
Evenuis? She called jumping out of his hold.
I can’t believe that was your first reaction, screaming? he whispered
You scared me! she whispered back glaring at him, lovingly.
Yes, lovingly.
For the witch leader of the kingdom, screaming was all you could do? he mocked.
Shhh, she hushed him,covering his mouth with her palm.
Don’t let the others know about this, she pleaded.
That would be my choice to make,he hummed walking towards the door.
But… how did you…. she whispered
I teleport and you fly, he whispered in a mocking tone..
Maya glared at him then she faced the door.
Her hands circling in front of her, she began trying to unlock the door..
Evenius stared at the door anxiously waiting to hear that creaking sound.
Finally, he exclaimed when he heard it.
Maya withdrew her hands like her hands will fall any second.
Then she took a deep breathe before taking cautious steps into the dark room.
She lit up the candles in there then carried it, Evenuis followed her slowly.
They got to where the Mother Supreme’s ancient robe hung but there was no sign of the staff.
The staff! Maya almost screamed..
Evenius rushed to the front to see for himself.
He grew cold when he saw it too.
The staff was long gone.
Oh no! What do we do? Maya panicked.
Let’s leave here first, we’ll figure out what next to do, Evenuis said then led the shaken Maya out of the room.
She was in tears, scared to her bones.
She is supposed be the protector of the whole witch coven,how could the generational staff of all the previous mother supremes be missing in her own time.
Right under her nose.
She felt so incompetent.
Let’s go, Evenuis called after they watched the door shut.
But she couldn’t move..
She was crying profusely..
Taking her hand,he teleported with her out of there…
The leaves shook and someone crept out.
Because the person was masked, no facial expression was seen.
The figure slowly walked away into the bush, down into the forest.

Mom?
Mom, we are home now, Mia tapped her mom who slowly opened her eyes.
It was dark everywhere as Mia led her mom into the house..
Their father wasn’t anywhere in sight when they walked into the dark room…
Mia went to switch on the light but before she could turn around you look at her mom, the light blew up.
Jeez,what happened?
Mom, are you okay? Mia asked looking around, they couldn’t see each other as the room was dark
I’m fine, Kathy replied weakly.
Gosh, i can’t see a thing, hang on mom, I need to get my phone from the car then get the first aid box to treat you,I will be right back.
No, Kathy said..
What no?
Its dark,I don’t think I can stay in the dark for long, you should go find someone to come help us fix the power.
But you are in pain.
I can take care of my self,now hurry.
Are you sure?
Hurry, the darkness is making things worse…
Okay mom, I won’t be long, Mia said then started to walk away slowly, her hands searching for anything she can identify to figure out if she was on the right track.
The moment Kathy was sure she left the house, the light came back on..
She stood up from the bed and walked to the mirror.
Seeing her disfigured face with her black blood all over her cloth, she screamed angrily and she changed to Saraphina immediately.
The reason she put out the light was because she didn’t want Mia seeing her black blood.
It was dark when she saw her so she didn’t notice the colour of her blood but with the light on,she would definitely see it.
She began muttering words as she performed the healing ritual.
When she was done,the blood was all gone and she was looking normal again.
But she needed to do something,she didn’t want Mia returning to an already cured Kathy so she stretched her hand and the first aid box appeared.
She then smirked before changing back to Kathy.
Still smirking at her reflection in the mirror,she got a bandage and began wrapping her head with it.
She wrapped her head then her arm too making it look like she sprained her ankle.
She’s going to give Mia every reason to think she almost got ki||ed by her sister and lover..
I will make sure I ruin your life Blue then I’m going to make your live miserable afterwards, mark my words Zelda.
Blue? a voice muttered from the door.
She turned sharply to know who it was but saw no one instead she heard heavy footsteps.
Whoever that person is, was running.
She quickly dashed out of the room but no one was outside, whoever was watching her was gone or hiding somewhere.
What a stupid body! she groaned, pisses with the human body she possessed that made it difficult for her to be fast enough to get this person.
Just when she was about leaving, her eyes landed on something on the wall.
It was blood.
She was sure it belonged to whoever it was that eavesdropped on her since it wasn’t black blood.
She touched the little blood amd tasted it..
Joe? she muttered.
He must have had his hand bruised when he was trying to escape.
Hia fragrance was all over the place too, it was him.
He saw her change.
He heard her and now he knows.
But that’s not going to last because, now you die, she muttered with a smirk then dashed out of the house in search of him…
Mom? Mia called running to her the moment she got outside the gate.
She had two men with her too, they were dressed like they work with the power company.
Mom,you don’t look okay,where are you rushing to? Come on, let’s go back in, Mia said pulling her mom with her…
$h|t! Kathy cursed under her breath as she followed her back inside.
Kathy’s husband kept tuning, he was still shocked..
He didn’t know what to think but he knew he needed to get to safety.
He couldn’t believe he has been living with a monster.
Getting to the road,he felt lucky the moment he saw a train stop before him,he jumped into the train with no destination in mind.
I need to talk to Blue,I need to find her, was all he could think at that moment
