Lady in Black appeared to Erik and Falcon with a smug grin on her face “To whom do I own this honor? History goes back to how it was. You Falcon coming back to me and this little human that hosted you getting punished for even trying to help you” Lady in Black said in a manly voice.
“Yeah, you win. Now, what next?” Erik said and retracted his sword to become an essence and back into his body.
Falcon growled in anger hiding Erik behind him.
Now that Kira was gone, the dead can no longer hold back their attack and the moment hades summoned them, they roared and charged toward them.
Erik looked back to check on Susan and probably to take her to a safe place only to find nothing in the canoe.
“Uh? Where is Susan?” he asked inwardly with his eyes searching around.
Erik summoned his sword again, ready to fight the dead.
Roars of the dead filled each corner of hades, Falcon knew no way to win the fight and he glanced at Erik in regret.
“I’m sorry Erik,” he said.
“We fight till death!” Erik yelled out to snap Falcon out of his trance state.
They were about to move forward when a strange wind came out of nowhere, the flapping of wings sending specks of dirt in different directions.
Susan woke up when Erik and Falcon were talking to hades. She succeeded in drowning the blood demon in river Styx and she’s perfectly okay too.
She came in her dragon form and puff out fire on all the dead she could find.
Susan landed in front of them puffing fire in all directions and using Erik as a backup.
“I can get us out of here, Ciara’s parents visited me when I passed out inside the black river,” she said in a deep electrifying voice.
“Ciara’s parents? What’s that about?” Erik asked.
“We don’t have the time for this, now that we are trapped here in hades, we need to sacrifice the most important thing before we can leave,” she said to them.
“Important? I think I know what that might be” Falcon said.
“You mean our powers?” Erik asked.
They take a moment to think of life without their powers while Susan continued fighting the dead.
“We have no choice Erik, we traveled through dimensions and overstayed our time… Do you want to see your friends and family again?” Susan yelled pulling him out of his thoughts.
“You have to believe in things that are yet to come, Erik, that’s how supernatural lives,” Falcon said to Erik.
Erik raised his Sword which is glowing so brightly with his family essence.
He stretched it out to Susan to do the needful while Falcon buys them time.
Hades left Lady in Black’s body in anger and to shut down any portal they might want to create.
Lady in Black attacked Falcon when he was fighting off the dead.
Erik saw this and went to his rescue with his sword.
He sped up to her and snatched her sickle away from her. He snapped it into two and th-ru_st the sharp edge of it into her heart.
She gasped in pain—
Meanwhile, Susan was already draining Erik’s power from the sword with Ciara’s magic book according to how she was told.
The bright blue sword returned to normal and was completely drained of its essence.
This made Erik weak also and he could not hold Lady in Black down anymore. She was about to turn the sharp edge to Erik’s face when Falcon possessed Erik’s body, giving him all the power and strength he needs.
With all of his strength, he groaned as he pushed the sickle deep into Lady in Black’s heart.
*If a demon dies from his/her weapons, they don’t get any chances of coming back*
She has lived through centuries and decades, it’s fine for her to go extinct. As if she was expecting the move from Erik, she smiled and happily pulled the sickle in the more with tears of blood streaming down her face.
“Thanks for freeing me,” she said with a pale face.
Her skin melted down from her bones and she burned into ashes.
Erik staggered back totally exhausted and dumbfounded.
Susan too gave up her abilities and gifts and then Ciara’s magic book became so big— big enough to house a human.
A portal opened up from the book and Susan laughed victoriously.
“Now Erik! Now!” she yelled.
Falcon exited Erik’s body at once and he fell down weakly.
“I’m proud of you Erik, I will visit you some times,” he said to Erik.
Susan rushed over to help Erik up from the ground, she exchanged glances with Falcon and smiled to bid him goodbye.
She shouldered Erik to the portal and when they entered, it closed up and the magic book disappeared.
Hades roared in anger when he was unable to stop them.
Falcon let out a mocking laugh before heading to the safe part where he was supposed to live.
LOCATION: EARTH
Haliah was crying profusely with the rest all sitting in circles around the two bathtubs left when suddenly the water in it raised up swirling around in the air.
Erik was the first to wake up and the water in the bathtub splashed on their faces.
Flora who was close by took out her gun in case hades sent them back with another soul in them.
Susan came up too panting heavily.
Ken asked everyone to move away from them and to wait for Grandma Sarah.
“The two of them tried to leave the bathtub but Flora’s gun is not allowing them.
“It’s me, Erik! I’m real” he said.
“Come on guys, we didn’t die,” Susan said.
Jeff walked into the room holding the spot where he got bitten and his face was pale.
“Erik? Susan?” he called out.
He was ready to pounce on them when Anthony stopped him.
Just then, Ciara’s magic book dropped out of thin air as well.
“Oh my God… You came back!” she cried and rushed over to pick up her book.
“Your mother helped us out… In exchange for our powers,” Susan said.
“Uh yes… I haven’t reached that level yet. That’s possible!” she said excitedly.
“They are real! They are indeed alive and well” Ciara announced to them all.
Grandma Sarah arrived at the scene and on seeing her grandson, she stretch her hands out for a hug sobbing profusely.
Erik went into her arms with his wet clothes. The rest pounced on Susan, not giving her a breathing space at all.
“I’m glad you all are safe,” Flora said.
“So proud of you all” Ken added.
LOCATION: Citadom City
In Professor Linn’s mansion, the gifted could be seen sitting around in a circle and chanting some spells. Jessie had found the professor trying some guardian magic on his own but he didn’t succeed. She informed the rest and they agreed to combine their powers to provide any help possible to those that went to hades.
They shared Professor Linn’s vision throughout the adventure, they saw everything that happened to them and how they woke up back to life.
The moment they all woke up, the magic bond broke and they were sent out of the connection.
They all got hurt from the sudden snap but they were happy they could help.
They cheered happily and commended each other for doing a great job.
“I’m glad they didn’t get to use the egg,” Tammy said with joy.
“It won’t be good to trade souls with a loved one,” Jessie said.
The egg is meant to switch live essence. The person who gets to break the egg when in danger would survive death in return for Professor Lin’s soul since he gave out the egg of life.
MEXICO
GRANDMA’s VILLA
After doing lots of catching up with each other, Flora came indie to inform them that the jet is ready.
Haliah thanked Grandma Sarah for everything she did to save her and she kissed her on the forehead.
“Take care of yourself Haliah, and always remember that you are the best version of yourself,” she said to her.
Haliah smiled and replied with a head nod before leaving the room for her and Erik.
Guilt was written on his face and he would glance back and forth at the family sword he had dropped on the shelf.
“I’m sorry grandma, I let you down,” he said with a face full of guilt.
Grandma Sarah smiled warmly then stretched her hand towards the sword and it appeared in her hand.
Erik was surprised “Grandma! Have you gotten your powers back?” he asked confused.
“No Erik, that’s not me but the sword. This family sword was passed down from our great ancestors I want you to know that it is not useless even if its essence is gone,” she explained.
“But… I..” he tried to talk—
“Do not blame yourself, Erik, it’s going to be history what you did and the battle you conquer with our family sword. Do not abandon the sword Son” she said to him.
Erik’s brows raised in realization. He balled his fist and lowered his head for a while then up, he received the sword from his grandma.
“I will never let you down grandma,” he said.
“You are a very strong boy Erik, your parents always knew that,” she said then oat his shoulder.
Erik raised to his feet, and hug his grandma for a while before walking towards the door.
“I will come back during the holidays’ grandma” he promised.

Erik arrived at the forest where the Jet was hidden and uncle Ken bid him farewell.
“Take care of grandma,” he said.
Flora started the jet and they all entire while Ken waved from afar.
Erik looked down from the window with tears in his eyes when Haliah turn his face to her.
“Big boys don’t cry” she teased.
Erik smiled faintly and wiped the tears forming.
“I’m proud of you Erik… Thanks for not giving up on me” she said.
“I’m proud of us,” he said.
Anthony, Kira, Ciara, and Susan looked at them all smiles before a fog covered their windows.
By the time it cleared, they were back in Citadom city.
The gifted and Professor Linn could be seen outside waiting to receive them.
Happy faces and proud murmurs waited with a strong stance to face the heavy air accompanying the Alladin jet.
When it stopped, the robots from inside came to get their stuff and to move the jet back to the parking space.
The gifted ran to them and they did a group hug. Cries mixed with happiness as they embrace each other tightly.
Haliah saw her father watching from afar, she disengaged from the hug and ran into professor Linn’s arms.
It caught him by surprise that Haliah could hug him.
He was hesitant to reciprocate at first but after realizing everything she’s been through, he raised his hand to receive her and then pat her back slowly.
“I’ll always be here for you,” he said to her.
Haliah tilted her head back with her eyes filled with tears “But you have to go back once you are done with your mission” she said trying to push back her tears.
Professor Linn smiled and gently stroked her hair “I’ve been pardoned my dear” he said.
“What? How?” she asked.
“Violet is dead and with my sacrifice to save you, I’ve been granted the life of humans,” he said.
“So you’re human now? Oh my God…” Haliah sobs in his embrace.
Flora and the gifted entered leaving them to their father-daughter moments.
They celebrated through the night and Professor Linn shared the news.
He also promised to adopt all of them since he got the money. With his high knowledge, he intends to start an AI company and that’s enough to last him for life.
TWO WEEKS LATER
The gifted attend the same school and they come to school in 6 cars every day everyone wants to be like them. They call them the rich kids of Citadom.
Kira asked others to keep the truth from Freddy about Lady in Black being his mother. It won’t do him any good to know of such darkness when he’s got caring parents here in the human world who care about him.
Other kids know the gifted to be rich but they fight darkness and evil as their second identities. Susan and Erik learned combat ski||s since they don’t have their powers anymore.
One night, a few days before Christmas. Erik was on his way to his grandma’s house with Haliah when something bumped into their car from behind.
Erik stopped the car and alighted from it to check things out. Haliah’s claws crept out and her eyes turned green.
They could hear faint snarls and growls—
“Stay behind me Erik,” Haliah said.
“Come on,” he said then removed his sword from the backseat.
Suddenly, Falcon came out of nowhere with his body glowing very bright.
“Falcon?” Erik called out happily.
“It has come, Erik!” Falcon said.
Just then, the light from Falcon’s body enveloped Erik’s sword.
“What’s this?” he asked.
“Your essence,” Falcon said.
SOMEWHERE ELSE
Susan was sleeping already when she starts to have nightmares of running with the dragons.
Dragon Judith( From the story Dragon Girl by me) came to her and hand over a fireball to her.
She felt sth burning and she started coughing because she was feeling choked.
She fluttered her eyes open to see fire everywhere in her room and the smoke was coming her up. On looking at her hands, she saw that her power is back and there are dragon scales on her neck coming out already.
She laughed and screamed so loud.
The gifted saw smoke and hearing her scream, they went to her room.
FREDDY’s APARTMENT
Freddy just finished having dinner with his family and he returned to his room to sleep. No sooner had he closed the door than he hear screams from downstairs. His parents scream.
He opened the door and hurried downstairs just to see that his parents are missing but their clothes are left behind.
“Mom? Dad? Where are you?” he cried out in fear.
While searching the house, a knife came at him out of nowhere piercing into his heart. He went crashing on the floor in pain.
Two imaginary figures appeared to him.
To their surprise, Freddy removed the knife and his wounds closed up at once.
“How does it feel to get played?” He said with a smile and sent the knife back at one of the figures.
“Get my parents back here! They know nothing,” he said.
The second figure starts moving back with trembling feet as a result of watching its partner die from the poisonous knife.
“Shall we play hide and seek?” he said with a proud grin.
