“Am listening. What’s your explanation?” A angry looking Jerry said glaring at Daniella seated on the other side of the table.
“Am sorry. I only told Cherry you were my boyfriend out of spite, I mean she keeps being rude to you and insults you and I just couldn’t take it and lashed out at her and….”
“And I never told you to fight for me. I can deal with Cherry myself, you never should have meddled and never should have addressed yourself as my girlfriend. Thanks to you she….” He let out a sigh of frustration.
“I can help you Jerry” she suddenly said earning a look from him.
“Help me with what?”
“Your reason for being angry is because you love Cherry and want her back in your life but with what I did, it will be hard for you to achieve that which is why I want to help you” she explain.
“And how on earth will you succeed with that?”
“By pretending to be your girlfriend” she answered more carefully.
“I know it might sound crazy to you but if you must get back a girl, you have to show her that you are no longer interested. From what have seen of Cherry, she h@ťěs guy who are clingy and you’ve definitely been that but if you show her that you aren’t a clingy guy and that you can also be interested in other girls apart from her, am very sure that she will realise her mistake and come running to you” Daniella added and for a while he thought about the things she just said.
“Do you really believe that us pretending to be a couple will spark up some interest in her?” He asked and quickly she gave a nod.
“I can guarantee you of that” she replied in excitement.
“Don’t you have a boyfriend to complain about this decision of yours?” He asked.
“Even if I had one, he won’t stop me from helping you and I can assure you that if I want to call it quits, I will let you know. Will you let me help you?” She asked earning a smile from him.
“Fine. It’s a deal” he said stretching forth his hand while she quickly took it in hers.

“What do you mean by you are dying?” Thalia asked looking very worried.
“It is the truth. I only have a few months left to live” Romeo said again and the look on his face told her that he is very serious.
“What sort of illness is it?”
“It isn’t a illness but a curse” Romeo replied more slowly.
“The curse which began with my father. Why don’t we take a seat so I can further explain to you?” He said ushering her to one of the sofa in the room.
“Long before I was born, someone placed a curse on my father and his generation. I was never told why but what I know is that every male in the Rocchi family dies at the age of twenty four which am currently in” he began slowly.
“Aunt Lola whom you know as Shaman Lola did her best to revoke the curse but she couldn’t succeed which ki||ed my father in the end and very soon I will die too”
“What do I have to do in all of this? You must have approach me while having this in mind?” She asked and he gave a nod In return.
“You are right Thalia. I did approach you for your help. After years of trying to find a way to get me out of the curse, My aunt did found a way and that is I have to have someone with a strong aura by my side”
“She believes that as long as the person stay with me then I will be saved from dying at the end of this year and you turn out to be someone with a very strong aura”
“Which is why you approached me pretending to be under my spell, right?” Thalia asked and he gave a nod again.
“Believe me Thalia, I never wanted to lie to you. I first saw you was at a park, you were alone gazing up at the clouds and it was there aunt Lola made it clear to me that you have a very strong aura ”
“I began thinking of ways to get close to you and luckily for me my cousin was dating your sister, I thought that with them close I could get close to you but I sensed the coldness in you. Remember we met at the hospital when your sister was ill, you never even looked at me, you pretended I was invincible ”
“Also each time I made a visit to your sisters home, you never seem to be around, it was like you were avoiding me but as luck will have it, you went to my aunt for a spell to use on me ”
“She told me about it and also told me that she led you into believing that she did the spell. Seeing it as my chance, I pretended to be under your spell following you around in the hope that you will fall for me and stay by my side but then you had to know the truth which is why I told you ” he finished waiting for a response from a quiet Thalia.
“Everything you did, even you visiting my home to celebrate my birthday with me was just a facade to hide your true intention?” Thalia said softly.
“Even this is all just a lie, right?” She asked again while starring at the box which had the bracelet he gave her.
“Thalia I….”
“All you want is someone with a strong aura by your side just so you wouldn’t die, right?”
“It is but I have something else to tell…”
“Then you might as well listen to my answer” Thalia let out gruffly cutting off his sentence.

Cherry walked in to the cafe holding the letter she had received earlier.
She got to table six and found him waiting for her like he said he would.
“Aren’t you….”
“Yes, I am a close friend of Romeo but that’s not the main point here” he said motioning her to take a seat which she did.
“Were you the one who sent me this letter?” Cherry asked and he gave a nod.
“I did”
“Why? Why are you offering me your help so I can get Romeo to be mine?” Cherry asked while a smirk tilt his lip.
“Just like you I don’t want him getting involved with Thalia” he said.
“Why? Do you perhaps like her?” Cherry asked.
“I don’t have to tell you that. What I would like to know right now is if you need my help in getting Romeo to be yours?” He asked and after thinking about it for a while cherry gave a nod in return….
