Avery groaned painfully as she woke up. Her eyes slowly stared around the room. She looked surprised seeing herself in doctor Donald’s office.
” Stanley, ” she called, but he removed his face. She frowned at his action, ” Stanley, what’s wrong with you?”
He didn’t want her to see the tears on his face. He couldn’t believe it, he just can’t. And the regret of not hurting Dacia as he wanted burned in him.
He wished she’d wake up and he’d have to strangle her throat out then have her back into the dungeon for the animal to eat her up.
Avery looked at doctor Donald who also found it difficult to tell the news to her. She stared at them with a confused look.
She rubbed her head as she forced herself to sit. When she noticed her bump was no more, she threw an angry gaze at Donald.
” You..” she raged, ” what did you do to me?! What have you done to my child?! ” Looking at Stanley, ” What have he done to our child?! ” She was about to step out of the bed to strangle him when Stanley held her back.
” Avery. ” His voice was cold.
” Stanley, that’s my baby. What happened to my child?! Talk to me, what happened to our child? ”
” Miss Dennison, you don’t remember what happened?” Donald spoke.

She stopped, trying to remember what happened. ” She pushed me. ” She said as the memory came in her head. ” And I fell, my stomach…” She paused, now she knows what really happened to her child.
” She’s dead, isn’t she?” She asked in a shivery tone. ” My child is dead, isn’t she? Answer me?! ” She yelled at Donald.
” Yes. ”
” No. No, it can’t be. I can’t just lose my child, she’s innocent. ” Stanley held her in his arms, ” She’s isn’t even born yet, and she’s gone? Just like that?
We were going to start a new life with her. She was my hope. She’s dead. She ki||ed her. She ki||ed her, Stanley. She did it to us. ”
” I know. I know. ” Though he tried to hit the pains, it was in his voice. ” You need to rest, Avery, let’s talk about this tomorrow.”
He took her to his room, on reaching the door, she stopped. ” What is it?” He asked her.
” I can’t go in there. ”
” Why?”
” It will only remind me of what happened. Please, take me to a different room. ”
” Okay. ”
He then took her to the room he had stayed with her when he still played like Gideon. ” Do you mind staying here or sh…”
She didn’t let him finish talking, she said. ” I’ll stay here. ”
He nodded his head, ” Good night.”
She leaned on the door, pouring out all the tears. She held her womb, and she couldn’t stop herself from crying.
” You’re my hope, my life. You are the reason why Stanley and I are together. I have so many plans for you, for us. But that Ɓîtçh… that bastard of a witch took you away from me! ”
” No matter what, we’ll meet someday. Though I haven’t seen you but, I have faith we’ll meet again. ”
She was still weeping, that she fell asleep.

I wished I had done this earlier. I wish I had put her in a position that wouldn’t have had access to Avery.
I never knew she was like this until now. I h@ťěd myself for not seeing this earlier. I shouldn’t have left the mansion either.
d@mn… I h@ťě myself for this, for everything. I h@ťěd myself for ever thinking Dacia was the right person for me.
There was this joy I always feel each time I look at Avery, the joy which keeps alarming to me that very soon… Just very soon I’d become a father.
But she took that joy away from me. Dacia…
I honestly feel for Avery, I know what what she’s done for our child since she took in. I’ve seen her countless times and those were part of what gave me hopes of becoming the man I’ve dreamt of becoming.
I know how she feels right now, I wish she can get over with this and move on. Though it ain’t that easy but… She has to. We have to.
