” Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!” Darryl screamed. Immediately Iasonas and Roxanne ran in breathing heavily. ” What? What’s wrong?” They asked Darryl. ” There’s no school today.” Darryl announced. ” What?!” Roxanne shrieked. Iasonas flinched. ” You almost screamed the house down because there’s no school today?” Roxanne asked angrily. Darryl shrugged. ” I h@ťě school.” He told her. Roxanne took a pillow on his bed and hit him with it.
She huffed angrily glaring at Darryl before leaving. Iasonas threw himself on the bed and laughed. ” And I thought Baby Lliss was the dramatic one.” He said sarcastically. Darryl glared at him. ” This place is hell and school starts the fire.” He tells Iasonas who laughs even more. Darryl takes a pillow and hits him with it. Iasonas doesn’t try to dodge it. He laughs it off. ” Okay So why is school closed today?” Iasonas asks.
” Because most of the kids are going to The Voice Competition.” Darryl replies. ” You’re also a kid.” Iasonas tells him. ” No I’m way over 18.” Darryl says. ” And you’re in high school.” Iasonas points out. ” Don’t judge Iasonas. Your Alpha forced me Remember? Like I need a mate in high school.” Darryl scoffed. ” High School chicks are actually pretty hot than ladies your age Old man.” Iasonas remarks. Darryl glares at him.
” You have an answer for everything right? Get out of my room.” Darryl points to the door. ” Actually this is our room and I’m doing you a favour by not sleeping in it.” Iasonas tells him. Darryl groans. ” Dude give me a break. I still need my beauty sleep.” He tells Iasonas who immediately jumos down the bed. ” What?” Darryl asks. ” Are you perhaps gay?” Iasonas asks. Darryl’s lips curve a bit. ” Guys also need beauty sleep. It’s not only for girls. Even guys who like girls can get it.” Darryl tells him.
Iasonas looks at him suspiciously. Darryl rolls his eyes. ” Are you going to The Voice Competition?” Darryl asks him. ” Yeah Your brother asked us to be there. Remember?” Iasonas reminds him. ” Oh that. I totally forgot. Well thank God you’re here.” Darryl tells him. Iasonas rolls his eyes. ” Does he even kmow how to sing?” Darryl asks. Iasonas shrugs. ” I don’t know. I hope so.” Iasonas gets up from the bed. ” Lets have brekafast and head to the venue.” He tells Darryl before he exists the room. Darryl sighs. His phone pings.
He checks it. It’s a text message from his father.
* Family meeting soon. I’ll tell you the time and date later.*
” I hope no one lands into the hospital.” Darryl says to himself after reading the text message.

” Amara hurry up we’re late!” The voice of Roxanne booms across the hall way as she shouts at Amaryllis who’s running towards her. ” Stop screaming bit*h! I’m coming.” Amaryllis snaps. Roxanne laughs. When Amaryllis arrives at Roxanne, she jumps at her and they both fall. ” Holy cow! Amara what was that?!” Roxanne shrieked as her back hit the floor. Amaryllis gets up and flicks her hair.
” That’s for shouti….” She trails off when she sees the orphanage headmistress coming towards them. ” Going somewhere Amara?” The Headmistress asks. ” Um…yeah. Me and Roxy are going to some competition.” Amaryllis replies as Roxanne who’s already up, dusts herself. ” Are you competing?” Headmistress asks with a raised eyebrow. ” No.” Amaryllis quickly says.
” Good. Than I can tell you this. Than you can go.” The Headmistress says. ” Tell me what?” Amaryllis asks. ” Well I have good or bad news. For me it’s good news and for you too but I don’t know how you’d feel about it.” The Headmistress tells her. Roxanne and Amaryllis look at the Headmistress confused. ” Can we talk in private?” The Headmistress asks. Amaryllis shook her head. ” Roxy knows everything about me. What’s up?” She asks.
” Okay Let’s sit.” The Headmistress motions to one of the benches in the hall way. The 3 of them go sit. ” You have been adopted.” The Headmistress drops the bombshell. ” What?” Roxanne gasped. Amaryllis jaw dropped in shock. ” Who adopts a 17 year old girl who turns 18 in a few days? Is that even legal?” Roxanne asks. The Headmistress nods. ” It’s legal. Technically Amaryllis is still 17 so she’s a minor who can be adopted.” She replies.
” But how could you adopt her without her consent?” Roxanne snaps at the Headmistress. ” Look here Young lady. This is my orphanage and I choos who gets adopted and who doesn’t. So don’t you dare raise your voice at me.” The Headmistress says harshly. Roxanne clenchher fists and glares at the Headmistress. ” Who adopted me?” Amaryllis asks. The Headmistress turns to her. ” So this is where the bad or good news come.” She says quietly.
But suprisingly both Amaryllis and Roxanne heard her. ” The name of the persom who adopted you is Craig Ferguson.” The Headmistress tells her. Both Roxanne and Amaryllis’ eyes widen in horror. ” You didn’t get her adopted! You sold her. You selfish pedophile witch!!” Roxanne raises her hand to hit the Headmistress but Amaryllis holds her hand. ” You could have told me you didn’t want me, I would have left.” Amaryllis tells the Headmistress.
Roxanne yanks off her arm. ” Amara. Why would she lose her money machine? I’m sure you got a whole lot of money you wicked witch!” Roxanne yells at the Headmistress. ” I’m so gonna report you to social services abd have this orphanage closed down!” Roxanne says angrily. ” And where will the other kids go?” The Headmistress smirks at Roxanne. ” My parents are richer the president of this f-__-king country. I’ll book them a hotel you sick bit*h!” Roxanne glares at the Headmistress and she glares back.
” Let’s go Roxy.” Amaryllis tells Roxanne. ” No! This bit*h is going to get it from me. She can’t sell you off and nothing happens.” Roxanne snaps. ” She’s an elder Roxy.” Amaryllis tells her. The Headmistress smirks at Roxanne which riled her up. ” Elder! My foot! I’m ki||ing this bit*h!” Roxanne announces as she pounces on the Headmistress knocking her off the bench. Amaryllis gasps and get up. She tried holding back Roxanne but she was pulled by someone.
She turns back to see Acacia. ” Let go!” Amaryllis snaps trying to pull away from Acacia’s grip but up to no vail. ” Let Roxanne ki||s her. She deserves it.” Acacia tells her. ” No let me go!” Amaryllis shouts. She turns to see Roxanne on top of the Headmistress beating the crap out of her. ” Roxanne Stop! Stop it!” Amaryllis shouts but Roxanne doesn’t seem to hear her. Amaryllis turns to Acacia who’s still holding her.
She sees Calista behind Acacia. Calista has her head down. ” Calista! Tell Acacia to let me go. Roxy will ki|| Headmistress.” Amaryllis says to Calista. Calista raises her head and looks at Acacia. Acacia gives her a look than she looks down again. Acacia smirks at Amaryllis. ” I’ll do your homework for a month including projects!” Amaryllis blurts out. Acacia tilts her head. ” Promise Baby Lliss?” Acacia says a bit too sweetly. Amaryllis nods. ” Yeah I promise. I swear. Cross my heart. Hope to die.” Acacia lets go of her hand.
Amaryllis quickly runs to Roxanne and pulls her away from the Headmistress who now looks dead. Roxanne huffs. She turns to Amaryllis and beams. ” Now Let’s go to that music competition.” She says as Amaryllis glares at her. ” Good Idea. Let’s go Cal.” Acacia says and walks out with Calista following close behind her.
