” Amaryllis wake up!” A voice said. A voice I pretty much recognize and h@ťě. I slowly open my eyes. I look at my clock on the left. It’s 5am. It so f-__-kin early. I turn to my right. My evil sister is sitting on the bed witha sweet smile on her face which I find creepy. Acacia never smiles, people. There’s a book on her lap. Oh She wants me to help her. She has a test today and she went out partying last night now she needs my help. Isn’t that great? ” Morning Amara.” She says too sweetly. I roll my eyes. ” Morning Acacia.” I greet her back. I remove the duvet of my body and sit up. I put on my slippers and head to the bathroom to do my daily routine.
Oh Gosh! Where are my manners? I’m Amaryllis Quinn. I’m 17 years old but I’ll turn 18 in a week. It’s actually on Saturday. I’m so looking forward to it. Than I’ll leave this God forsaken orphanage. Yep I live in an orphanage. I live in a small town calked Alpaca. It’s pretty amazing. And Acacia isn’t reallt my sister. We just call each other sisters or brothers because we were all dumped in this God forsaken orphanage. But in school, We’re strangers. I only have 1 friend and that’s Roxanne Turner but I call her Roxy.
She’s turning 16 in two months and I already know her gift. After my bath I enter our room. I share the room with Acacia and Acantha but Acantha is sleeping. The rooms allocation works by our names. A’s stays with A’s and Z’s stays with Z’s. Stupid, I know. ” Which subject?” I ask Acacia and she beams. ” Biology.” She answers. ” I don’t study biology Acacia.” I tell her. Her face drops. ” But Calista had said you also help her with it.” She says. I chuckle. ” Well Calista lied. I’ve never helped her and I don’t study biology.” I tell her. She huffs and leaves the room.
I drop the towel wrapped around my body and I look at myself in the mirror. I trace my hand along my scars on my stomach. I don’t know how I got them but there have been there since I can remember. The other kids used to tease me about it a lot. But other than the scars on my stomach, I’m pretty much the hottest person I’d ever seen. Not the face though. My body. I have hips. Not too much and not too small. Same goes for my a** and B-__-bs. I have a very slim waist. I’m a bit tall. 5’9 ft tall. I have black hair that reaches my waist.
I have deep blue eyes and a small nose. And a tiny mouth which Roxy always teases me about. And I have a piercing on my stomach. I’m doing my senior year and I’m graduating in 3 months. I can’t wait to exist high school. That place is hell. Not that I’m getting bullied. I just naturally h@ťě school. One thing you should know about me is that I’m obssessed with high heels. I put on my uniform which consists of a navy skirt, a white shirt , navy with red white straps and a navy blue blazer. I grab my bag from the table and exist the room. I pick up an orange from the kitchen table and leave.
I start walking to school. It’s a 30 minute walk though but since I’m early, I can do it. Suddenly a black sports car stops infront of me. The window slides down. Raiden Reid shows up. I roll my eyes. ” What do you want Raiden?” I ask him clutching my bag tightly. ” Oh come on Amara. Are you still hang up on that?” He asks chuckling. ” Yeah I am Mr Reid so stop bothering me please.” I tell him as I walk around his car and leaves. Few seconds later the car passes by. I heave a sigh of relief. Last year Raidan was my boyfriend.
We broke up, no he broke up with me after breaking my virginity. It was a bet with none other than Acantha. That lady h@ťěs me. She may seem pretty and stuff but than girl is Lucifer’s daughter. 30 minutes later I arrive at school. Raiden and his gang are sitting infront of the school. They are 4 in the group. Raiden Reid. Yannis and Olympia smith. They are twins. Than it’s Carter Brookes. Raiden turns 18 tomorrow. Carter is 19 and the twins turn 18 in a week. They have the same birthday as me and I h@ťě it. People wish them and not me. Yeah I’m jealous.
Their group is the most popular at school. They’re called the A Squad because they all pass with straight A’s and are absolutely good with sports. Don’t worry I’m not invisible or something. Me and Roxanne are one of the most popular girls in school. We’re like at number 3 popular. We’re quite pretty but we h@ťě sports. Anything that requires hard work, we procrastinate or not do it at all except for school work. I’m my class president and Leigh Anne is my assistant.
Leigh Anne, ladies and gentlemen, is the most popular girl in school. The number one. Her minions are Acantha and Linbae. She is part of the president of the basketball cheerleaders squad and Captain in the girls netball team. Don’t worry some of girls in this school are reserved. They only have one boyfriend when they turn 18. Only 3/10 females though. And they don’t cheat which is amazing but that doesn’t stop them from being mean bullies. I walk past the A Team and enter the school.
I see Roxy by our lockers. I quickly run to her. ” Hello Bestie.” I hug her from the back. Roxanne smiles and turns to hug me tightly. ” Oh babes I missed you.” She tells me. ” Awwn I missed you too.” I cooe. She breaks the hug. ” What do you have in first period babes?” She asks. ” Calculus.” I say excitedly. I love calculus. It’s literally my favourite subject. The one things that keeps me from bunking school. Roxanne groans. ” I have Art with Acantha and Leigh Anne. And that stupid bastard Carter.” She gritts out.
Carter bullies Roxy. Well I think he’s trying get her attention because Roxy snubs any boy she sees. It’s the way Carter looks at her. The longing and love in his eyes. I also want someone to look at me like that. ” Babe Stop spacing out.” Roxy shakes me. ” Sorry I was just thinking about boys.” I smile sheepishly. Roxy rolls her eyes. ” Boys are overrated babe. Focus on your studies. I have news.” She looks around to check if nobody is listening. ” What?” I ask curiosity eating me up. She pulls me closer.
” My Stepbrother and his bestfriend are coming to this school today.” She whispers. I roll my eyes. ” So what’s the whispering about?” I ask loudly. ” Shhhh.” She places a finger on my lips. ” My brother is sort of royalty.” She tells me. ” Royalty? He’s a prince? Babes you’re a step princess!” I squeal. ” What? Step princess?” She asks with a raised eyebrow. ” Yeah Since your stepbrother is royalty, it’s means your mum married into royalty making you a Step princess.” I tell her. ” There’s no such thing as Step princess Amara. I’m half princess not step.” She blurts.
“AHHHHHHHHHH” A girl screams and everyone rushes …………… to the library. ” That’s them. I left them at he library. Probably a girl saw them.” Roxy tells me. And Oh I forgot to tell you, girls may be reserved but they have no problem admiring hot guys. ” What? I should have saw them first. Maybe one of them is my prince charming.” I tell Roxy wide eyed. She rolls her eyes. ” Well luckily for you they both saw your picture on my phone.” She tells me. ” Which picture?” I ask instantly. ” The one where you scored a goal in netball. Don’t worry the picture is pretty dope and you look segzy. It’s my phone wallpaper.” She says.
And dear people I, Amaryllis Quinn, do not have a phone. Roxy got me one but Acantha broke it to pieces. That sly b***h! The bell rings. ” Oh bye babes. See you later.” Roxy quickly goes to her class. I head over to my clas. When I enter, the teacher is already there. His office is opposite the class. I walk over to my sit but someone is already there.
