It was morning again and Rodger was far gone on the express of Flroida. Plying the road, seated in a taxi that was driving him to the nearest international airport. He had mad up his mind he was going to ĺeave Florida and there he was, actually with trillion dollar.
The previous night, he’d prepared all the necessary document he needed and he did all that in hiding cause he wasn’t so sure what his boss had in store for him.
Once the cab stopped him off, he walked in through the main gate of the airport but then, he was suddenly hijacked from behind and when he turned, he saw Ryder, one of his boss trusted slave.
“Don’t try anything funny Rodger. Look where we are.”Ryder advised as he saw Rodger was about bringing out a gun.
Rodger looked around, people trooping in and out of the airport every minute. He had to play smart, if he wanted no attention or suspicious stares from people.
“Just follow me quietly Rodger. There will be no reason to fight”Ryder advised again and Rodger finally sighed.
“He sent you?”he asked”dont you get tired of being a slave? Come with me Ryder. Let’s get out of here together tried to be persuasive. He knew if he ended up going back to their boss, it’d be either a death sentence or eternal punishment he would recieve. Rodger looked at him carefully.
He scoffed” pathetic. Disloyal to the core Ryder.” he feigned a congratulatory applaud.
“This is a trillion-dollar we are talking about”Rodger said
“Last chance Rodger” Ryder was slowly losing his patience and before anyone could say Jack Robinson Rodger began to run. Where was he running to exactly? He knew Ryder was definitely going to catch up with him and just like he predicted he was caught right away and Ryder slammed his face hard against the nearest wall as he took his hand behind him and handcuffed him.
“You never listen, do you? Now see the countless stares you’ve earned” Ryder sighed.
People gathered and wondered what was going on but Ryder knew he had to pacify the situation or they were going to keep staring and maybe call a cab.
“This this is nothing I assure you guys” he soothed “this is just my brother trying to run away from home. you know, family issues” he stiffled a feingned laughter as the stares got more intense. After few minutes, people started to leave getting uninterested.
“You better thank me later or we would both have been arrested” Ryder whispered to the pained Rodger before picking up the bag of fake money and carrying him out like a prisoner.
It wasn’t long before they got to a warehouse. This was a warehouse that no one knew of. Not even the one Lila was in. It was the warehouse where the boss usually punished offenders who worked for him. Rodger had never once thought that he would one day be in this place serving a punishment. He had always been loyal. How did it end up like that?
It was daytime but when they entered into the warehouse it looked so dark like night already. The place was dimly lit and had a kind of eerie background and atmosphere. Thier boss was seated at the middle of the large space of the warehouse and Ryder threw Rodger at his feet.
“I brought him boss” Ryder reported.
“And the bag of money?”the deep baritoned voiced man, who was their boss questioned.
“yes”Ryder bowed
“Check it for any device cause I know Rodger is such a dummy” he mocked while Ryder set the bag of money at the front of the man as he used the tracking equipment to check for any chips or metal or tracking device. He detected only one and the man with the deep voice smirked before stepping on Rodger like a foot mat.
“You dummy” he laughed ” I also know that money is fake. Check it Ryder” he ordered. When it was checked, it was really fake.
Rogder began to regret. If regrets could be weighed, it would have been weighed more than a zillion and one. Hr should have known Lannon was smart enough. He had been here, in this area of evil life for so many years and he still didn’t know he should have checked the money to be double sure.
“How foolish Rodger” the man smirked “you’ve not only proven that you are disloyal but also very foolish” he laughed and then stepped more hard and Rodger’s back stamping the poot boys chest hard to the concrete floor.
“Burn it all Ryder. Not a single thing should be left” the ordered and Ryder took to effect immediately. Then the man stood up and he picked up Rodger from the floor like he was weightless, then he threw him a hard blow that sent his handcuffs still self, staggering backwards.
“You know the consequences of your actions Rodger. But I’m not going to ki|| you because you have so much to do for me. Now your foolish self has let this place been tracked. What are you going to do, huh” he threw him another hard blow and this time he fell to the floor.
” I picked you up and you pay me in such manner?”
“No! You notured the Evil in me” Rodger coughed out blood as he finally spoke, struggling to stand up from the floor.
“That’s it” the man who spread his arm in the air happily. “That is more reason why you should worship me Rodger. So you get the point”he chuckled
“You’re nothing but a monster!”Rodger yelled “And to think I’ve stayed with you all these years. You’ve made me do the worst. You let me f****** ki|| Lannon’s parents. Do you know how hurtful it has been for me to live with that every single day of my life?!”he bawled.
“let’s get this straight. You ki||ed before you ki||ed Lannon’s parents right?”
“No! You f****** backmailed me!”
“Yes or yes Rodger?”
“f****** yes!” he screamed “I had to ki|| that man unless he was going to ki|| me. I did that as self-defence. You uses that into blackmailing me and I was so foolish to remain with you all these years. Why haven’t you died? No, why did you come back to life? To haunt your wife or probably your already dying daughter!”
The man was now raged, he brought out his gun and aimed a shot at Rodger’s leg “you shut the f-__-k up!”
“You ki|| me, if that’s all it takes that I end a worthless life” Rodger replied bitterly, blood dripping from his mouth.
The man laughed evily “I won’t ki|| you Rodger because I need you. When you ki||ed that man years ago, why didn’t you think about seeking justice in the court? You had to stay with me cause you knew I could protect you, not because I blackmailed you”
“Arrgh!!!” Rodger groaned angrily, hitting his fist on the ground “You won’t get away with this” he sneered
