She unconsciously closed her eyes as he said those words. They had a really great effect on her. Her hand felt numb and before she could get herself together she lost her balance on the tile and fell into the water.
Lannon was expecting her to swim out. But after five seconds she hadn’t still come out, he dove into the water and got her out. She hadn’t drowned completely but she was breathing real hard.
“You okay?”he patted her back lightly as he asked. He got a furious action from her immediately as she pushed him back into the water.
“Dont try anything funny again”she folded her hands angrilly.
He swam back to the edge of the pool, wiping water off his face.”I should have kissed you”he looked at her, raking his fingers through his hair.
Lila was the one to smirk this time”you need a hard push this time and maybe there’d be no one to get you out.”
“Haha”he laughed
“You look happy this evening. It’s unlike you.”
“Same with you miss steele. Mind sharing?”he got out of the pool and sat beside her.
“I should have persuaded you before getting myself into this mess. My clothes are soaked. Good for you cause you’re wearing nothing “she didn’t want to believe she had actually thought he looked hot when she saw him earlier but it was the plain fact anyway.”my mum has woken and I’d like to see her tonight. Let me.”she said.
“Ok.”
“Ok?”Lila furrowed her brows. Now that she could think properly, why did he even tell her congratulations. She decided to ask “You know. You know my mums awake? Was that the reason behind your congratulations”
“Are you going or not?”instead of replying, he asked another question
“I’m going! “she was quick to reply”I will just go to change”she stood up and ran off before he could say another opposing word.
While leaving she bumped into Rodger “you..you…”she looked at him pointing to his chest
“Miss lila”he was about to speak
She cut him off “was it all planned? Why the hell did you leave me?”she feingned annoyance.
“I….”
“Tsk tsk”she cut him off again”my feet is numb cause of you. You should give me a piggy back to my room.”
Rodger submissively turned his back. She was caught off gaurd. She didn’t think he’d actually accept. She was only bluffing.
“C’mon. That was a joke.”she tapped his shoulders and quickly walked ahead of him.

This time she dressed in a blue jean trouser and a green polo. She packed her hair in ponytail after blow drying it. Rodger escorted her to the car park and there she saw lannon leaning on his car, dressed casually in loose pants and baggy top.
She walked to him trying to shut her mouth so she won’t acknowledge how amazingly hot he looked at that moment.
Lannon got into the car followed by her and they zoomed off. Now she thought of her mum, she suddenly felt scared she might not remember her. Even if she remembered her ,what was she going to say. Usually, it was always awkward for she and her mum before she got into coma.Dad and mum always quarrelled cause of her when she was much younger. The fact that her dad was always on her side made her prefer him over her mum. Then the day her mum fainted and had suddenly gone into coma. She could still remember it vividly. That very day, she was in her room when she heard a loud thud in her mother’s room.She was quick to run to her rescue but then she already met her mum in a pool of blood.
She was more than scared when the doctor told her, her mother had failed lungs. Since then she’d been in coma.
“Lila, lila…”Lannon called her name for the umpteenth time and she finally came back to reality.
She blinked repeatedly before looking at him”sorry, i spaced out”she apologised.
They got down from the car and went into the hospital. With a few enquiries, she was able to locate the new room they had transferred her mum to. When they got there, the first person she saw was Sam.
“Oh my God Sam!”she cried out, running to hug her best friend. Sam was slender and had blonde hair. Her chocolate brown eye that had always been a mystery to people who knew her cause it somehow looked awkward and fascinating with her looks. She was quite taller than Lila and was gap toothed.
” look at you. Looking better than i expected “Sam hugged her back. She quickly pulled away from the hug and looked at Lila”lila are you really okay? This is your chance to escape now”she said worriedly.
Lila was all quiet.she wasn’t dallying she wasnt contemplation. She was just speechless.
Sam sighed and looked at her” is that the guy over there”she pointed to Lannon.
Lila nodded”please don’t talk to him Sam. Just let him be”she held her hands.
“That hot guy. Jeez. He’s hot”Sam squealed”but for kidnapping you, he doesn’t look dangerous. I’m going to give him a piece of my mind.”
Before Lila could stop her from leaving, she already marched towards Lannon. Lila could only sigh before going to her mum who was sleeping on the bed peacefully.
