The place looked familiar because it was of course Joshua’s family Mansion, David lives her, Joshua’s mother, Evelyn also lives with here so who was this man and why was he bringing her here?
Evelyn climbed down the stairs, the moment she saw the man, her eyes brightened, she ran to jump on his arms like a teenager that’s just seeing her boyfriend after a long time.
“Darling when did you get back? I’ve missed you so much” she cupped his cheeks and pouted like a baby.
The man smiled and wrapped his arms around her waist, he gave her a quick peck on the lips and neck before hugging her again.
Carly creased her brows as she stared at them, Evelyn who has been so excited opened her eyes and frowned when she saw Carly.
She blinked to make sure she’s seeing double but she wasn’t. Is this not Carly? What is she doing here?
“Carly?” Evelyn pulled away from the man she was hugging to face Carly.
Carly who didn’t know what was happening thought it’ll be best to just wave at them.
“Hi.. hi Mrs Donovan” she waved and stammered a bit.
Evelyn looked at the man before looking at Carly. “What are you doing here?” Evelyn asked.
“She’s with me, call Joshua and David, I have something to tell all of you” he replied.
Just then, David climbed down the stairs, his eyes brightened when he saw the man.
“Dad!!” He literally jumped down the stairs just to go hug him.
‘Dad?’ Carly thought with furried brows.

JOSHUA’S ROOM.
Joshua has been knocking on Carly’s door for a while not no reply for her.
“What kind of slumber is she in or isn’t she inside?” He asked himself and was about to knock again when his phone began ringing.
He dipped his hands in his pocket to take out the phone. It was Evelyn.
“Mom?” He picked the cool.
“Joshua your father is here” Evelyn said and Joshua’s face brightened up a bit.
“He’s here? Did you tell him about my good news?” He asked.
“No son, it’s your job to do that, you need to come to the mansion, your father wants to see you” Evelyn said later on.
“But mom Carly..
“Carly is here” Evelyn answered.
“Carly is there? How?” Joshua asked.
“I don’t know, she came with your father so just come okay?” Evelyn replied and hung up.
Joshua sighed and went back to his room, he took off his pajamas and wore a light cloth with a thick jacket before stepping out.
“She’s there? How did she get there without telling me” he asked himself as he left.

DONOVANS’ MANSION.
The doorbell rang and the maid went to open the door for Joshua to step him. He met Carly and David sitting on a couch and Evelyn and Nicholas ( his father ) sitting on another couch opposite them.
“Joshua hurry up and come over here, dad says he has something to tell us” David called.
Joshua pressed his lips and moved over to them,he sat with Carly and David and gave his father a short bow.
Unlike David, he couldn’t go hug his father because his father was strict with him especially after Olivia’s case and all.
“How are you doing son?” Nicholas asked and Joshua was a bit surprised.
This would be the first time his dad is asking how he was doing after so long. Joshua was a bit happy to see that his father has calmed down with him after that truth came out when Olivia died.
“I’m fine dad” he replied.
Nicholas nodded and stared at Carly before looking at everyone.
“I’m sure you guys know Carly” he started and Carly furried her brows. Nicholas smiled. “Well let me re introduce her, David, Joshua, I want you two to meet your long lost cousin, Sophia Donovan” he said.
As if cold water has been poured on everyone but Nicholas in the living room, they all stilled, everyone had a shocked look on their face, just like what Nicholas was expecting.
“Cousin?” David was the first person to find his voice, Joshua didn’t say anything, he still looked like a lot of thoughts were running through his head.
Evelyn stared at Nicholas before staring at Carly. “If they are her cousins then I’m her Aunty?” She looked surprised.
Nicholas nodded.
“Dad explain, how can Carly be our cousin? We don’t understand” David almost yelled.
Nicholas looked at Carly and sighed. “Can you remember what happened to your parents?” He asked.
“They were rubbed and ki||ed” Carly replied slowly.
“But what you didn’t know was that your dad was my junior brother” he said and Evelyn gasped in realization.
“You mean to say she’s Sam’s daughter?” She asked and Nicholas nodded.
“I told you I won’t rest till I make them all pay, I worked hand in hand with old man Fallon to catch the people responsible for your parents death and my brother’s death, thought them a good lesson and my other vow was to look for you and take care of you. I’ve used most of my time into searching for you, you have no idea of how happy I am to finally see you” he said, some emotions building up within him.
Carly remembered the man in nose mask that was staring at her that day at the dog sitting house.
So it was him?
“Wait” Joshua who has been silent finally opened his mouth. “So Carly has been family all along?” He asked like he still couldn’t believe what he’s heard.
“Believe it or not but she is” Nicholas replied.
David blinked, no wonder why he liked her, she is is cousin, that’s why he feel some kind of bound with her, at first he thought it was love but it’s now he knows that it isn’t.
Carly is really family and his feelings about this news was happiness.
“I’ve always felt it, come here cuz” Joshua pulled Carly closer to him and hugged her along with David.
Evelyn has tears in her eyes as she cupped Carly’s cheeks.
“My niece, I will treat you really well from now on, I will treat you like a daughter from now on” she said.
Carly eyes was a bit teary, she was shocked, she couldn’t say anything and she didn’t expect to be this happy.
It took some time for her to calm down before they all had a good talk, Nicholas told her about how they punished the ki||er of her parents and how he spend time into looking for her.
They all spend some times into recalling everything that had happened. Even when Carly use to have feelings for Joshua, her legal cousin.
‘Stupid!’ she blushed out of embarrassment.
Joshua also told his dad about bright record label and the leaving this country after Highschool to purse his career.
Nicholas wasn’t angry, he only advised Joshua to be careful before it was finally time for them to go to sleep.

NEXT MORNING.
Carly slowly opened her eyes and a suddenly light suddenly pushed it back close, she rubbed her eyes and squeezed her face before sitting straight and taking time to open her eyes slowly.
Why does everywhere look so different? She couldn’t help but think, there’s something usual about today.
The door suddenly opened and Joshua stepped in.
“Yo cuz, are you still sleeping by this time, you’re gonna miss the graduation party at this rate” he said with a smile.
Carly furried her brows as she stared at him. Is this Joshua? Why is he looking so… So..
She slowly took her eyes to her hands and it was then she realized…
“Arghhhhhhhhhh!!!!”
