The both looked at themselves before Joshua opened the door only to meet some policemen waiting for him at his doorstep.
Both him and Carly looked at themselves before Joshua stepped forward.
“Uhm officers, anything?” He asked slowly.
The officers turned to face him.
“Are you Joshua Donovan?” One of them asked and Joshua nodded.
Carly, who was holding Paco in her arms, looked at Joshua in fright as she wondered what the police were doing here.
“You’re under arrest for the attempt of committing an assault, please come with us to the station” the officer said.
Carly gasped and Joshua suddenly remembered Brad and he silently rolled his eyes.
“Who’s filing a case against me?” He asked.
“Brad Langston” the officer replied and put Joshua on shackles.
“Joshua” Carly called in fright.
“It’s okay baby sis, just wait for me I’ll be back” Joshua smiled at her and the officers took him to their car.
Carly immediately rushed back to her room and took her phone to call Davis.
“Hello, Carly?” The tone of Davis’ voice looked like he was surprised to have Carly phone him.
“David, some officers just came here and took Joshua with them” Carly said in her tone filled with panic.
“What??” David, who was sitting on the couch, abruptly stood up.
“Don’t panic okay, I’m on my way” he said afterwards then hung up before rushing out of the mansion.

POLICE STATION
“You said Brad Langston filed an assault case against me but you won’t arrest me without any evidence right?” Joshua said to the senior officer who’s sitting opposite him.
“But did you or did you not break into his house and hit him?” The officer asked.
“I didn’t, I think Brad is crazy, you know that guy has been seeing things lately” Joshua muttered with an eye roll.
Brad then stormed in, his eyes caught Joshua and he went ahead to grab his hair.
“You bàstard, how dare you!!” He yelled and the police pulled him away from Joshua immediately.
“Now who is assaulting who?” Joshua asked the police as he arranged his hair.
“I want him arrested, I don’t care!!” Brad yelled out.
“But Joshua Donovan is right? We have no right to arrest him unless you provide us with evidence” the officer said.
“But I saw him hit me!!” Brad yelled.
“That’s not enough, we still need more evidence. Do you have any security cameras in your house?” The officer asked.
Brad thought for a second before shaking his head.
“No I don’t but…
“But evidence is still needed, this case is closed till you come with evidence” the officer cut Brad off.
There was a smirk on Joshua’s face as he stood up from the chair.
“Smirk all you want Joshua but I will make you pay, mark my words” Brad said before angrily storming out.
Joshua just smiled when he came out. He was surprised to see Carly and David coming down from David’s speed bike.
“What are the both of you doing here? I thought I told you not to come” Joshua asked.
“We were worried,” Carly muttered and took her lips in.
“Don’t worry I’m fine, let’s go” Joshua replied and went to climb Davis speed bike.
“What are you doing bro?” David asked.
“I’m riding” Joshua winked and David smiled.

NEXT DAY★ UNIQUE HIGH, JUNIOR’S BLOCK.
“And please let’s not forget about the art practice starting next week” the art teacher announced.
Carly looked confused, she turned to face Miley who was beside her.
“What does miss Brooklyn mean by art project?” She asked.
Miley didn’t face her when she replied.
“Every year, the school does an art project completion for both seniors and juniors. You’ll get paired up with two partners each and you’ll work together to make really good art” she replied.
“Does it involve panting?” Carly asked slowly.
“What’s the meaning of art if it doesn’t involve colour” Miley rolled her eyes as she replied in a sarcastic tone.
Carly could hear how loud her heart was beating. Art project? Colour? But she doesn’t know the colours.
“Closing hour, the list of your teams will be pasted in the school notice board and practice starts tomorrow” the art teacher added.
Pinky raised her hands and Miss Brooklyn permitted her to speak.
“Don’t you think next week is too near, how are we going to come up with fresh art ski||s with that pace of just a week?” She asked.
David who was sitting at the back of her made faces and mimicked her.
“It has always been that way Pinky, the best thing is to start working hard from now. Once it’s lunch break, the list of your partners will be ready, “Miss Brooklyn replied and left the classroom.

CLOSING HOUR.
Students have already gathered the notice board, looking for who their partners are, somewhere happy with who they saw and some were sad.
“Make way for the queen you losers” Pinky shouted as she forced her way to their middle along with Susan to find her list.
“Seems like we aren’t on the same team this time” Susan muttered because she was paired with Richard and Trey.
Pinky rolled her eyes and began searching for hers, she saw her name and smiled but frowned back when she saw who she was paired with.
“Make way make way, thank you” David smiled when he got to the middle of the student to check his list to see his partners.
He saw Carly’s name and he smiled to himself then saw Pinky’s name.
He cleared his eyes and checked again. His partners were Pinky, Carly and himself.
“What??” He looked shocked.
“Don’t act like you’re shocked. You bribed the teacher so the both of you can stay together and bully me” he heard Pinky’s voice behind him.
He snorted and turned to face her.
“Do you know that I detest you so much that I can’t stand being near you or sharing the same air with you?” He asked with his arms crossed together.
“Then you can just go ahead and die because I detest you too” she scoffed and walked out.
She walked towards her locker in anger.
“Stupid project, how can I be getting teamed up with that stupid David and his sister or girlfriend” she muttered and held the level of her locker.
She felt something soft and when she pressed it, it made a kinda sound.
“What’s this?” She muttered and took it off then came face to face with an alive rat.
“Arghhhh!!!” She screamed out and threw it off and began running around.
David, who was watching from a corner, burst out into laughter.
“This is so epic” he laughed to himself and someone tapped him.
It was Carly.
“What did you do?” She asked him.
“I’ll explain later, let’s go” he wrapped his hands around her shoulder and led her out of the school hallway.

DOG SITTING HOUSE.
Carly was playing with Paco with a frown on her face.
“Carly, is everything alright?” Joshua who just finished feeding a dog came to sit beside her.
Carly blobbed her head up and down and Joshua sighed.
“You know, you don’t have to hide it from me when you feel troubled. I’m your big brother and it is my duty to make sure you’re fine” he said to her.
Carly sighed and dropped Paco on the floor.
“Next week is the school art project” she muttered.
“Is that the cause of your long face, don’t you know how to colour it?” He asked in a worried voice.
Carly stared at his face for a while and began wondering how she’ll tell him that she can’t see colours, that’ll be so embarrassing.
“Yes, I’m scared. I don’t know how to colour and I’m paired up with David and Pinky” she muttered.
Joshua smiled.
“You can explain this to David and he’ll help you,” he said.
Carly bit her lips and nodded a little then Joshua smiled again and took her hands on his.
“If you need me there with you, I won’t mind it,” he added.
“But aren’t you going to be busy with yours?” Carly asked and at the same time, trying not to look at his hands on hers.
“Teddy is my partner, I’m sure Pinky will invite you to her place and since Teddy is her brother then he’ll invite me too and I can help you” he smiled.
Carly got lost into staring at his face and Joshua was starting to find it a bit weird.
“Uhm, anything else?” He asked.
Carly got back to her senses and left his hands then rubbed her palms together and looked elsewhere.
“Oh pop award show is starting today at 5pm, did you bring your laptop? I want to watch it” she found something to say that’ll ki|| the silence.
Joshua remembered that Olivia was there and frowned lightly.
“You don’t like the show? I’m sorry I..
“No need, let’s watch it” Joshua stood up and went to bring his laptop that was on top of Madam Beatrice’s table.
He came to Carly and she logged into the official website where their live video will be posted.
Carly looked happy while watching while Joshua looked a bit angry.
‘Maybe seeing how pathetic she’d look won’t be bad’ He thought.
