HOSPITAL**
Mrs Evelyn Donovan, Selene and one other young guy stepped into the ward where Joshua was laying.
“My baby boy” Evelyn rushed towards Joshua who just looked at her and let out a weak smile.
“Look at all the bruises, it must hurt a lot” she said in tears as she caressed his face.
Joshua just held her hands and kissed it softly, he brought his other hand to her face and wipe her tears.
“Stop crying mom, I’m fine” he muttered.
“That’s what you’ve been telling me but you keep getting injured, just look at all your face and see how you look, you’ve also lost a lot of weight” Evelyn complained.
“And hair” the guy standing behind Evelyn added and Joshua moved his head to look at him.
His eyes widened.
“David” he called with an unbelievable look on his face.
The young boy named David smiled and moved closer to Joshua. In the aspect of facial resemblance, he looked exactly like Joshua expect younger.
“Big bro, it’s good to see you again” he ruffled Joshua’s hair and Joshua winced out.
David Donovan was Joshua’s junior brother of sixteen, he don’t like the spotlight so no one knows about him and he has been out of the country for years now, he just came back last night.
Just like Joshua, he has a curly hair but the curls were one side at the front, covering one of his eyes and it always makes him look sèxy.
He’s just sixteen but he has the body and height of an eighteen or nineteen years old adult.
“Look at you, I’ve been hearing about you all over the internet, everyone calls you the cuckquean and you kinda deserve it” David said and Selene hit his back.
Joshua’s face fell.
“I see that you’re part of my h@ťěrs”
“I wish” David rolled his eyes and dipped his hands into his pocket.
“I love you bro and I used to warn you about that girl you’re dating, she’s not too sèxy” he whispered the last line to Joshua.
Evelyn turned to him with a glare and he stepped back.
“Don’t listen to what your brother is saying, you must be hungry, David let’s go get your brother something to eat” Evelyn stood up and grabbed David hand.
“But mom Joshua haven’t..
“Let’s go” Evelyn dragged him out.
Selene just watched them with a smile before taking the small stool beside Joshua’s bed.
“Hey” she smiled at him and he smiled back.
She brought her hands to his face and caressed it softly.
“I’m sorry about everything, I’ve made my speech and I believe things will start getting cleared up a bit” she said softly.
“You don’t have to say sorry Selene, it’s not even your fault” he replied.
“It’s a bit of my fault and nothing would change that, so how are you feeling now?” She asked, looking at his bruised face.
“Who hit you this way? Was it Olivia’s fans?” She asked again.
“I don’t know” Joshua shook his head.
“They were masked guys,” he replied.
“That’s sad, don’t worry I’ll do everything I can to find out who they are” she tapped his cheeks lightly and he nodded with a smile.
She stared at him for a while before raising herself up and bringing her lips to his forehead.
The moment she did that, the door opened and a nurse putting on nose masks entered, she frozed when she saw them.
She blinked her eyes repeatedly before rushing out of the ward.
Selene pulled away and smiled at him.
“You’re a strong guy Joshua, just have it in mind that you shouldn’t give up and all will be fine. This is just a phase of your life and it’ll be over soon” she assured him.
“Thank you” Joshua flashed her a warm smile which she returned.
The nurse got out and ran to the blue car that was waiting for her outside, she got to the backseat and removed her nose mask.
It was Olivia, she heard the news about him and she got worried. She never wanted to but she found herself disguised as a nurse just to go see him.
“I was still the fool believing that you were innocent and you loved me. I’m so done with you Joshua” she gritted her teeth and tears came out of her eyes.
The picture of that blonde hair girl kissing her forehead didn’t fade off from her head.
“Drive!” She ordered her driver and he drove off immediately.

TWO DAYS LATER.
The doctor said it was okay for Joshua to leave the hospital so he went to his mom’s mansion and also the h@ťěs he was receiving went down with just 40% due to his Instagram post, Selene’s interview and Carly’s tiktok post about him.
Currently he and his brother were both climbing down the stairs to the living room and Joshua kept admiring everywhere like he was inside a paradise.
“Bro calm down, this is just a mansion so quit looking that way” David who was behind him smirked and Joshua rolled his eyes before falling on the long couch.
“You can’t blame me, I’ve been staying in a small house so everywhere kinda look new to me” he shrugged.
“And what now, you want to go back to the small house or you want to stay here?” David asked, going to sit beside him.
Joshua didn’t reply.
“Come on Joshua!!” David shook him and he sighed.
“I still need to go back, there’s someone I have to say thank you too” he muttered.
“Who? That girl that posted your picture on tiktok and decreased the hatred for you a bit?” David asked and Joshua nodded.
“That one”
“Alright when you tell her thank you just come back, I missed you and I wanna spend time with you” David let out a silly hugged Joshua’s shoulders.
“Hey let go!” Joshua tried pushing him away but he didn’t let go.
“At least you should thank me for still loving despite your play boy attitude” David pouted, hugging and snuggling closer to him even more.
Evelyn just came out of the kitchen with a tray of food in her hands, she dropped it on the dining table and faced them.
“Lunch is ready!” She announced and David was the first to fly off the couch.
“Who’s hungry, I know I am” he smiled as he jugged his way to the dinning.
Joshua stood up and lazily followed from behind.

FALLONS’ MANSION.
Pinky eyes were glued to her pink laptop, waiting for what she was downloading to finish.
She took the pink smoothie that was beside her and sipped from it.
“Pinky, why do you love frustrating Joshua?” Susan who was laying on her bed and polishing her nails asked.
Pinky rolled her eyes and turned her pink swivel chair to face Susan.
“Simple, I h@ťě him” she shrugged and turned back to face her laptop.
“But why, though, he broke Olivia’s heart and not yours don’t you think you’re doing this a bit too much?” Susan mumbled.
Pinky turned her chair to face her again with an annoying look on her face that made Susan a bit scared.
“Susan, don’t tell me you’re one of those illiterate that’s pitying him?” Pinky asked.
“No but..
“Susan a play boy will always be a play boy!” Pinky gritted her teeth as she spoke.
“But Joshua is not..
“Don’t mention his name!” Pinky immediately cut off Susan with a yell.
“Okay fine I won’t mention him but you can’t keep using his mistake to punish other guys yunno” Susan tried to reason with her.
“Nothing will change the fact that a playboy is a play boy and once I set my eyes on them, they must pay ” Pinky scoffed and turned her chair back to face her laptop.
The stuff she was downloading just downloaded and she smirked.
“You dare bring your play boy attitude to someone I like, you’re dead” she said to herself then giggled.

EVENING.
Carly just stepped out of the dog sitting house with a smile on her face.
She was happy today because she just received her salary for the month.
“Good night Carly, do you need me to cross you?” Madam Beatrice asked and Carly shook her head with a smile.
“I was planning to stop a cab home but thanks for offering to help me” she replied.
“No problem little one, take care” madam Beatrice waved at her and crossed the road.
Carly smiled and waved at the cab she saw passing but it speed past her, she waved at another one but still the same thing then another and another till she got frustrated.
‘Maybe I shook have just said yes when madam Beatrice offered to cross me now what do I do?’ She frowned her face as she thought of that.
“Scared to cross again?” The familiar voice made her looked to her side and she saw him again.
He wasn’t putting on any nose mask this time around so he looked a lot more better than the last time she saw him.
She opened her mouth but she didn’t know what to say until he grabbed her hands and interwined their fingers together.
“Let’s go” he smiled at her.
