“Erm…”
“Oh you freaking liarrrr- you were with Josh weren’t you?” Summer cuts me off as she grip my shoulders tight.
I was out of words so I force a smile and nod.
“Huh? Who’s Josh?” Roy butts in.
“None of your business, you can go I’ll see you later” Summer replies him.
“You girls have fun then” he sigh and begins to walk out. Immediately he closes the door behind, Summer pull me to sit on the sofa.
“Spill!! Why did you lie to me? You know I won’t blame you for going to him, you have needs it’s been long you know” she sigh holding my hand.
Seriously?
“Yeah”I force a smile again and get up.
“Where are you going?” she ask.
“My room obviously”
“So you’re just gonna leave me here?” she Scoff.
“Why are you acting like this is your first time here” i roll my eyes.
“No, it’s Friday Beverly.”
“I know,.so?”
“Movie night/ clubbing. Since we can’t go clubbing we watch movie then”
“Oh..” i say remembering the stupid rule we made so as to improve our social life.
“I can’t believe you forgot”she grunts grabbing the remote.
“I’m sorry” I say walking towards her and grab her hand. She ignores me as she keeps pressing the remote with her free hand.
I kiss her on the cheek apologizing again.
“Leave me alone Beverly, you obviously don’t care about this friendship anymore-”
“What? Don’t say that. I love you and your friendship means a lot to me. You know it” i cooed.
“Really? So you’re not dishing for that Josh guy or whoever is distracting you.”
“Ofcoursee not Baby. I will never replace you”
“That’s what I want to hear” She smile and kiss my cheeks.
“I love you” i say
“I love you too” she replies and pats my shoulder.
“Let me grab Popcorn while you check something interesting” I tell her and she nods.
“I don’t know if this is interesting” Summer tells me when I came back from the kitchen.
“Let me see…. Without saying goodbye?. Is it a just release”
“Yeah, let’s check the description” she says.
“Oh it’s Spanish. I love Spanish movie. It should be interesting” she squeals.
Yeah, she loves everything. Korean, Chinese and any movie in this world except Bollywood, she feels like they are too extra. Well same, i literally watch anything including Bollywood. I love Bollywood even though they can be extra and dramatic but that’s what makes it interesting.
So we settled for”Without saying goodbye” as the movie starts to play.
My phone lights up after a ding and I grab it, opens it to see a message.
“Can you send me your schedules, i want to see if it works with mine so that I can fix time we can meet.
Jesse”
I look at Summer to see if she was looking before typing back.
“I work Monday to Saturdays 7-7, free on Sundays. WBU?” i text and put down my phone.
It dings few seconds later, but thankfully summer is engross with the movie.
“I can’t really say i have schedules, but I’ll be free anytime you’re free. And does that mean you’ll spend your Sundays with me?”
“I don’t know, Sunday is the only day I have to rest”
“Well you can rest at mine. Except you won’t be able to rest that much”he sent with a wink emoji.
Okay that made me blush..
“Who are you texting?” i yelp in surprise throwing my phone up. I didn’t know Summer is already beside me until she talked.
“f-__-k! You scared me” I say picking my phone up from the floor.
“Is that Josh? Is that Josh you’re texting and blushing. Oh my goodness! Are you in love with him?”She ask.
“What?”
“I always thought it will be Jesse you Will fall in love with, but it’s okay if Josh makes you happy. Just let me meet him soon okay?”
“Gosh summer stop acting like my mother already!” i scoff rolling my eyes at her.
I grab the bowl of my popcorn and focus back on the TV. I was grateful when Summer did the same.
I feel bad for lying to her, but I know Summer. She will not have it if tell her Jesse and I are just having segz. Gosh, her wishlist for me is far more plenty than mine.
I pick my phone to reply Jesse “See you on Sunday”
