“Ruben!!!” Betsy screamed, tears already falling from her eyes like rain.
“Let her go” Lord Stone ordered and the hefty men released only Betsy.
She fell to the floor and crawled to Ruben’s side, blood stained her dress.
“Ruben, wake up” Betsy sobbed.
“Ruby” Beauty sobbed but her vision started getting blurry.
“Ru…”
She immediately passed out, one of the guards caught her before she fell to the floor.
“Ruben” Besty screamed in tears shaking his lifeless body, the black lines on his veins were still visible.. She touched his chest and there was no heartbeat but as she was about to withdraw her hand it started beating slowly. An array of hope brimmed on her face.
Betsy stood up angrily and faced Lord Stone who sat on his chair.
“Where’s the antidote to the poison?” Betsy cried loudly.. She doesn’t know the name of the poison, it has been nameless to them since Lord Stone started using it, no one has ever known the name, no matter how much they tried to research, he has kept it a secret so he would have an advantage over everyone.
“Father please” Betsy cried.
“Take them away from my studt” Lord Stone ordered coldly.
They took Betsy out of the room and Dragged Ruben’s body out next, Beauty was also lying lifelessly on the floor.
Darian rushed there to meet Betsy sitting on the floor crying her eyes out.
“Betsy” Darian called and rushed there; he bent down and checked Beauty first.
“Beauty” Darian called fearfully and checked her pulse, it was normal.
His eyes widened and he saw Ruben, blood was still dropping all over and the black lines on his vein.
“Don’t tell me,” Darian said fearfully.
“Father used the poison,” Betsy sobbed.

Lord Ruben’s suite **
Betsy laid on the bed close to Ruben and Beauty was crying, staring at his face.
Darian already treated his wounds but Lord Stone restricted them from calling the doctor or even taking him to the hospital, his heart was beating slowly sometimes they thought it stopped.
“You don’t deserve this” Beauty sobbed, her elbow is on his shoulder, her tears are rolling from her cheeks to his skin,, her wounds aren’t fully healed either..
“Wake up… don’t die yet,I want you to watch him suffer, you aren’t permitted to die yet, till I decide it” Beauty muttered in a way that no one would hear her.
She sniffed and smiled, staring at his lips.
“Ruben stone, open your eyes, don’t die yet, I haven’t gotten what I want ” Beauty cried, caressing his face with hand.
She closed her eyes and placed her head on his chest, Ruben suddenly moved one finger, then the other.
In his struggle, his eyeballs start moving in his eyes and he opens his eyes slowly.
The place seemed blurry at first but after blinking severally, he finally could see clearly.
“Beauty” He muttered and groaned.
Beauty raised her head and smiled when she saw him awake.
“Ruby ” Beauty muttered and touched his face, the black lines were no longer visible in his veins.
“Do you still know me?, D-do you feel sick?Where does it hurt?” Beauty reeled out questions.
“I know, my doll has blue eyes,” Ruben replied in a low voice.
Beauty smiled in tears and hugged him.
“Ah… that hurts,” Ruben Mõ@ɲed in pain, his stomach and back were bandaged.
“Sorry” Beauty apologised and broke the hug.
Betsy yawned, she was lying at the edge of the bed, she woke up .
“Who are you talking to?” Betsy asked sleepily, she hasn’t realised that Ruben is awake yet.
“Betsy” Ruben called, cutting short her loud yawn.
“Ruben!!!” Betsy screamed and rushed to hug him.
“Careful, don’t ki|| me” Ruben joked, being in great pain.
“I was so scared” Betsy cried and released him
“Stop… acting.. like… a baby” He stuttered.
“I’m sure you are hungry, I will go get some food for you” Betsy smiled and rushed out of the room.
“Ruby” Beauty called and kissed his lips gently.
“I thought I would never see you again,” She said after breaking the kiss.
“He didn’t ki|| me,” Ruben muttered and touched his heart.
“I could have sworn I was dead” He tried to laugh but couldn’t.
“Easy, don’t talk too much”
“Your back hurts too, right?” He asked and she nodded.
“Yes, a bit” Beauty smiled and took her hand to his soft hair and started stroking it..
“You need to go to the hospital after this’ ‘ Beauty proposed and he nodded slowly.
His eyes started closing and drifted off to sleep.
Beauty sighed and touched her necklace and stared at it.
“Oh, Beauty” Beauty pouted her lips.
