She could feel her heart breaking, pains she couldn’t fathom overwhelmed her. The bathroom door suddenly opened causing her to flinch. She quickly dropped his phone before turning her back at him, trying to hide her tears.
She hurriedly wiped them off before going to the bathroom to take her bath. Since it’s a single suite, they have to share a bathroom, a bed and the sane space.
She just walled past him without saying a word causing Andrew to raise a brow. That’s unlike her. He just shrugged his shoulder ignoring it.
He dried his wet hair with a towel as he made for the bed. Simultaneously, his phone rang out; it’s the same caller. MY FIRST LOVE.
He rolled his eyes as he picked the call.
“Hey boo!” A female voice said loudly from the other end.
“What do you want, Sapphire?” Andrew said with a deep grunt.
“Do you seriously think I’ll call you only when I need something from you?” She asked but got no response from Andrew.
“Well, I called because I missed you” She added after a long silence. Andrew arched his brows as soon as she said that, it obviously came as a shock to him.
“Okay” He said simply.
She let out a loud scoff.
“Just that? You should say I miss you too and stop being a jerk”
“I missed you too, ironically” He mumbled the last part, he was sure she didn’t hear him though.
“I’ll call you some other time, I have to go now. I love……
He hung up on her before she could even finish her statement. He fell on the bed tiredly.
“You shouldn’t hung up on me next time, I wanted to say that I love you” her text came.
“I love you more, take care of yourself” He replied. She replied with a sticker making him roll his eyes before dropping the phone on the bed.

Karen shut her both eyes trying to stop her tears from flowing but somehow, it never stopped. It was like a tap was opened, it just flowed ceaselessly.
The sound of the running water was enough to drown the sound of her whimpers.
“Why are you crying, Karen? You should really stop now. You were the only one taking things too far, what were you expecting at the end” She cautioned herself, wiping her tears. Just as she did that, another drop fell from her eyes.
“I don’t know why it hurt so much” She whimpered, resting her back on the bathroom wall helplessly.
“That’s because you love him, you’ve fallen deeply for him” A voice said in her head. She palmed her face with her hand confused on what to do.

Karen walked out of the bathroom after bathing for what seems like ages. She stayed under the shower as long as she could remember.
The dinning table has been set and Andrew was seated, like he was waiting for her.
“Are you okay?” He couldn’t help bit ask on noticing her countenance. She just nodded without saying a word avoiding his gaze.

~9PM_SATURDAY~
Karen packed her suitcase quietly, she tucked her clothes into the box. The week had gone smoothly without anything special, she did exactly what she went there for; his secretary and nothing more than that. It’s their last day in the city and the last day of the business trip too and also her last day of acting like his secretary.
Andrew watched her at one corner of his eyes. He was sure that he had been acting strange since the first day they got here. The usual excitement in her voice was no longer there, she just answers him straightforwardly and coldly too.
He took a deep breathe standing up. He grabbed her hand as soon as he got to her, leading her out of the room to the balcony. He released her hand sucking in his breathe, not knowing where to start from.
“The night view is nice and the air is cool too” He began lamely.
Karen furrowed her brows with lots of questions playing in her head. She badly wants to ask him if he has a girlfriend but strangely, she is scared of asking.
“What if he has a girlfriend? You are only going to get hurt the more so it’s better to play dumb” She said to herself.
“Yeah” She replied him staring at nowhere in particular.
“What if he has a girlfriend? Being married to you does not stpp hYou are only going to get hurt the more so it’s better to play dumb” She said to herself.
“Yeah” She replied him staring at nowhere in particular.
Andrew suddenly grabbed her by her waist pulling her close to him. Her B-__-bs pressed on his chest causing a gasp to escape her lips. He raised her head up to look at him.
His eyes piercing into hers, like he was searching for answers in her eyes. He leaned closer and Karen instantly shut her eyes getting ready for what would happen next.
As much as she wants to push him away, her body was doing the opposite. She yearns for him.
He captured her lips passionately and she responded immediately. He broke the kiss after a while and stepped away from her as usual.
“Get ready for our trip tomorrow” He said before walking away.
“Typical him, always leaving me hanging” Karen sneered.
“What were you expecting? He has a girlfriend already? You should stop having high hopes” Her subconsciously mind said.

~AUSTRALIA_LUCIANA APARTMENT~
Luciana woke up with a banging head, she let out a loud groan as she managed to stand up from the bed with so much difficulty.
She was looking like a complete mess. She stretched her body before stepping down from the bed going to sit in front of her dressing mirror.
She let out a sly smile as she stared at her reflection.
“You look pathetic Luciana” She muttered to herself as she brushed her hair.
“And it’s all thanks to Karen Jones” She added, the smile not leaving her thin lips.
“Just wait for my comeback and enjoy it while it lasts. You won’tknow what hit you” She said with a smirk. She brought out her phone and dialed her number.

~BB’S RESTAURANT~
“Luciana was at my house a few days back. She blabbed about convincing you to leave Andrew and she spewed a lot of $h|tty words before leaving. She is just obsessed and she don’t want to face the reality…….
Kimora paused on her words when she was not getting any response from Karen who was just staring into the space, lost in her own thoughts.
“Hey!” Kimora called loudly tapping on the table and that jolted Karen back to reality.
“Are you even here at all?”
“Sure, you were saying something on having a drink with Redford later in the day” Karen said blinking her lashes rapidly.
“That was like the beginning of this conversation….. what are you thinking about? C’mon, you should talk to me when you have any issues. What are friends for?” Kimora said.
“I think…. I’m in love with Andrew” Karen blurted out.
A knowing smile appeared on Kimora’s face.
“And? That is not a crime, afterall…. he is your husband” Kimora answered taking a sip from her drink
“He has a girlfriend” Karen’s next statement made her choke on her drink. She coughed loudly.
“What? How? When?”
“I just found out recently, he had a contact stored on his phone as my first love. It was a female voice too. I blame myself for falling for him despite knowing that he don’t fell the same. It’s my first and why does it hurts so much” Karen answered.
“Who are you?” Kimora asked out of the blues.
“Huh?”
“You heard me correctly”
“I’m Karen….. Lancelot?” Karen answered as if sounding unsure.
“Great! And who is Andrew to you?”
“My husband….”
“Exactly! He is your husband and you should make him yours exclusively. Make him say the three magic words…..
“I love you? I already told you that that is impossible” Karen cuts her off.
“Then make the impossibility becomes possible, you are Mrs Lancelot anyways” Kimora said reclining on her chair.
Karen stared at her for a while thinking really deep.

~LANCELOT CONGLOMERATE~
“You really did a great job, I just got a response from the investors and we are good to go” Redford said to Andrew who just nodded rubbing his temples.
Redford stood up and meant to leave but suddenly remembered something.
“I’ve keeping a close eyes on Yasmine for a while now, I know she would not just sit back without doing something. She met with Mr Tanner recently, I’m sure those two are up to something. I’ll keep watching though to be sure of their plans. Whichever way, Karen is the target and we have to be extra careful” Redford said.
“I guess Mr Tanner hasn’t learnt his lessons. I’ll be patiently waiting for wh@ťěver plan they have” Andrew said.
“And I don’t know if I should tell you this too. It’s about Karen…..
Just the mention of the name “Karen” got Andrew’s interesr totally. He stared at Redford inquisitively waiting for him to speak.
“Kimora mentioned something like she(Karen) will be going on a blind date using the popular dating app; Don’t marry, date” Redford said.
A frown settled on Andrew’s face immediately. He tried to mask it up with his usual cold countenance and within him, he was fuming with rage. Just the thought of her being in a cozy environment with someone else is making his body heat up with mixed feelings.

~7PM_LANCELOT MANSION~
Andrew entered into the living room only to meet an empty house. He dropped his suitcase tiredly on the couch.
There was no food on the dinning table too and then……
“Karen will be going on a blind date using the popular dating app; Don’t marry, date” Redford’s words played in his head.
He suddenly grabbed his phone and texted Redford. “Do you know the meeting point for the date?”
“Not sure….. I can just ask Kimora about it” Redford replied. In a few minutes, he sent an address to Andrew who stood up instantly.

~CLAIRE’S RESTAURANT~
Karen pressed her both lips together trying to control her yawn. She has been feeling sleepy the whole time as the man went on talking nonstop about himself.
She was just watching his lips move. She wasn’t even hearing anything.
“This is a bad idea” She muttered sighing deeply.
“Did you say something?” The man said.
“Yes, i said I can’t wait for this to end” She imagined herself saying.
“No…. you can go on with what you were saying” She said instead flashing a forced smile.
The door to the entrance of the restaurant opened and livid Andrew came in. His eyes settled on their table instantly. Since, Karen was backing the entrance she didn’t see him.
It was at this point that the man raised his hand to her hair and he stroked it fondly, Andrew’s anger tripled.
Andrew marched to them angrily. He grabbed Karen by her hand as soon as he got to the table. Karen looked up in shock, excitement building in her. Happiness was an understatement to how she was feeling.
The man from the blind date grabbed her other hand stopping Andrew from taking her.
“What do you think you are doing? She is my date and not yours” The man said.
“Let’s go home, wifey” Andrew said to Karen ignoring the man totally. He didn’t even act like someone just spoke.
“Sir…..
“She calls you sir….. how lame!” Redford’s voice played in Andrew’s head.
“It’s hubby” He blurted out.
Karen’s eyes widened immediately……
