~BB’S RESTUARANT~
Karen let out a slight chuckle as soon as Luciana said that.
“You must be joking right?” She narrowed her gaze at her.
“I don’t think I have a smile on my face” Luciana retorted with a deadpan look.
“How can you say such, Lucy! All of these is not even her fault; the blind date was all my idea and things happened after that. Divorce him you say? Why? What for? Would that even change anything? Not like he would ever look at your direction! After all, he has been your boss for the past five years and he never for once looked at you! Stop being pathetic and get a grip!” Kimora snapped.
“Kimora please” Karen said in a low voice, using her hand to hold Kimora’s from beneath the table and that made her stop talking.
“I am pregnant for him, Luciana” Karen said in her usual calm voice.
“Have you told him yet?”
“No” Karen replied.
“Then abort that thing in your stomach! Divorce him and then, I can finally get him…..
Kimora grabbed the glass of orange juice and emptied the content on Luciana. She sat back in her seat breathing heavily as she send dagger glares at Luciana who was still trying to recover from the shock.
“What did you just do?” Karen panicked grabbing a serviette. She meant to help Luciana by cleaning her face but she (Luciana) pushed her hand off.
“I’m done here and done with you two” She said, she grabbed her bag and walked out.
“Lucy!” Karen called and meant to go after her but Kimora dragged her back.
“Let her leave if she wants to, she is getting on my nerves already. How can she say such? Just because of a crush? If you wants to leave, then it’s fine” Kimora said.
“But…..
“Listen Karen, you are keeping this child okay? No matter what and you are never going to divorce him. We’ve seen in movies and read in books, love can just spring up from anywhere” Kimora said taking her hand.
“But this is reality, I doubt if that will ever happen. His heart is too cold to penetrate in” Karen said.
“Then find a way to get into his heart. I’m already imagining a perfect future of you both and then I, being the godmother of the child. Perfect!” Kimora said, giggling to herself. Karen couldn’t help but chuckle at her countenance.

~LANCELOT MANSION~
Karen opened the door gentle and walked into the living room. She met Andrew working on his laptop, the lights were on too.
He raised his head to look at her briefly before going back to wh@ťěver he was doing.
“Erm…. Good evening” She said after series of contemplation on what to say. She is always short of words around him.
He didn’t even act like someone just greeted him and that made her not her bottom lips feeling hurt.
“Then, find a way to get into his heart” Kimora’s voice rang in her head making her to sigh deeply.
“It’s close to impossible” She said aloud without knowing. Andrew turned to give her a questioning look which she returned with a forced smile.

~KAREN’S ROOM~
Karen stared at her reflection in the mirror, her eyes went to her stomach and she raised her hand to it.
“Baby, are you doing alright in there?” She said like she was talking to herself. Even though, she is not on good terms with Andrew, the father of her child, the thought of having something growing in her is sure tingling.
“Just hang in there okay? And develop into a beautiful cutie” She added with a smile, rubbing her flat stomach. A thought suddenly came to her mind and she grabbed her phone almost immediately.
She searched “How to win a man’s heart?” And several opinions appeared. She went through them one after the other.

~MORNING_8AM~
“Good morning” Karen greeted as soon as she heard footsteps at the stairway. She turned to face Andrew with a smile.
“I cooked breakfast” She added.
Andrew walked past her without saying a word. He had carried his briefcase already and appears set to leave for work. Karen could feel her heart shattering at his every step. Her efforts in preparing the good all wasted.
He suddenly halted on his step and then turned to her with his usual cold countenance.
“I’ll advice you to stop doing all of this, I never asked to it. And mind you, let’s act like we don’t know each other. You all are the same, don’t try so hard to act different” He said and giving her one final look, he walked out of the house.
Karen didn’t even know when tears escaped her eyes. They flowed down her cheeks without much effort.

~LANCELOT CONGLOMERATE~
Luciana bit her bottom lips as she walked into Andrew’s office. He had loosen his tie and the first three button of his shirt were unbuttoned too. His gaze was on his PC and he was working on it.
“Did you get the duplicate of the file done?” He asked raising his head to look at her. Luciana could feel her breathe being taken away from her, just having his eyes all over her was enough for her soul to leave her body. Despite the fact that she had been working with him for years, he rarely looks at her expect on special occasions.
“Y… yes sir” She stuttered in reply.
“I have something to tell you sir” She said after a brief moment of silence. She bit her bottom lips not knowing where to start from.
“Your wife, the lady you married is pregnant” She blurted out finally and that got Andrew’s attention totally. He raised his head to look at her with a questioning look, even without words, his expression was screaming “tell me more”
“She is pregnant for someone else, the child is a result of one of her countless escapades with men and she can’t abort the baby due to the doctor’s warning. She’d done several abortions in the past and her stomach is at risk so….
“Why are you telling me all of these?” He cuts her off nonchalantly. For a while, she felt her words stuckedin her throat.
“I just thought I should tell you since there is the probability that she might try to pin the pregnancy on you” Luciana replied. Andrew stared at her briefly before going back to what he was doing.
“I am very serious about what I am saying. I am just worried about you” She added but this time, she got no reply. She just stood there playing with her nails.
“Don’t you have anything to do? Why are you standing there?” Andrew said after a while.
“Huh? Sir…. I just told you about…..
“My schedule for the rest of the day” He cuts her off, his voice was so cold that shows no objection.
“Yes sir” She replied giving him a small bowed before walking out of the office. Andrew stared at the closed door lost in thoughts as what Luciana had just said played in his head.

~10PM_LANCELOT MANSION~
Karen walked stealthily towards the pool side, a gasp escaped her lips as her eyes feed on the view of the water. She sighed deeply going to stand at the edge of the pool while reminiscing on the day’s event.
She inhaled sharply as the scene with Andrew came again. Strangely, she seem to remember the words he said to her that morning. And each time, she feels her heart sting.
The sudden movement in the water made her flinch. She lost her balance in the process and she fell into the pool. She struggled to keep her head above the water but she couldn’t since she could not swim.
She suddenly felt a strong hand on her waist and she was lifted from the pool to the pool side. Her whole body was soaked already and she was shivering. He placed her gently to sit while he was still in the pool.
His eyes widened as his gaze landed in her chest region. Due to the fact that her clothes is wet, the transperant nightie hugged on her body revealing almost everything; her Ɲīpplë stood out dangerously against the thin fabric.
He could feel his body system hitting up, just what he was trying so hard to avoid the whole time.
“$h|t” He momentarily cursed himself.
Karen raised her head up to look at him, water was dropping from her hair down through her face. Her innocent eyes met with his and he lost his control almost immediately.
He slammed his lips on her without much hesitation……
