****JEWEL’S MANSION (LIVING ROOM)****
The three of them sat quietly as an akward silence reigned. After Jewel had screamed, Dina ran to the scene and her eyes widened. It took consciousness that made them run out of the bedroom. Only for Jewel to find a bleeding unconscious Natasha lying on the floor of the living room. They then returned home in silence not knowing what to say.
Luke was quiet. Where would he start from. Not like he has an explanation Jewel was ready to listen to. Ever since he became a ghost, Jewel was the only companion he had. He might want to deny it, but one thing he knows is that a silent treatment from Jewel is a slow poison. He didn’t even know when he got attached to her. But he hope she’d understand him.
Jewel was silent. She doesn’t know what to say. Her bestie has beaten Natasha to pulp. She had seen what she can’t unsee. What if Zach ask her what she was doing in his house? what would she say. What if Zach starts suspecting Luke? What if he finds out it was the work of a ghost? What’s going to happen now?? So many thoughts clouded Jewel’s mind.
Dina was d@mn tired of the silence. So what if they saw two naked bodies today? Not like the bodies were even beautiful to look out. Dina lifted her head to face Jewel.
“So what’s with the silence? Let’s make this place lively, then we can think of our next step” Dina said as she picked her phone and played one of Luke’s music.
It was a fast song suitable for dancing and Dina started dancing offbeat. It had it’s own dance but Dina wasn’t a dancer so she danced rubbish to the rhythm. She was whining like a fan with two broken hands. And her stiff waist made it worse.
Luke stared at Dina with a wide mouth. If this was the choreography of the song, then that song would certainly earn no Grammy. This song has given Luke two Grammy awards and here was his so called top fan dancing rubbish. Luke turned his gaze to Jewel and a chuckle escaped his lips. If Dina is bad then Jewel will be what??? He just couldn’t think about it as he shook his head pitying his song
“Yeah, baby, come join me” Dina said as she dragged Jewel but Jewel didn’t join. The song was so alluring that Jewel’s legs started moving to the beat. soon her head followed then her body.
“Yeah baby that’s it” Dina hyped Jewel. Jewel was no better than Dina. She climbed the table and danced on it. Soon the song was getting to a beat drop and Dina and Jewel signalled each other. The moment the beat dropped, they both started twerking their stiff waist.
Luke couldn’t hold it anymore as he burst out laughing hard. Immediately Jewel stopped dancing but Dina added pressure.
“Jewel, come on, don’t be a ki|| joy” Dina said as she continued twerking. She was not even twerking because it was her back that was moving. “Yeah, that’s it, yeah, Dina baby, you’re ki||ing it” She hyped herself.
But just a few seconds later she stopped and faced Jewel. “Is Luke here?” She asked and Jewel nodded gently.
“Oh my Goodness, why didn’t you tell me earlier ”
Dina said as she took in her bottom lips. She knew she was a bad dancer but she kept on dancing just to liven up the mood. And now she has embarrassed herself in front of Luke. And the worse was that she was dancing terribly to his song.
“Well, what did he say, I’m sure his complementing me” Dina said as she arranged her hair. But Jewel chuckled “He’s laughing his heart out” said as she joined Luke in the laughter.
“Why are you laughing at me, don’t you know learning makes perfect” Dina said as facing the wrong direction.
“Dina he’s sitting right here, beside me” Jewel said laughing at Dina’s silliness.
Soon the laughter died down and silence reigned.
But Luke was the one who broke it this time.
“Jewel, I’m sorry. I should have waited so we can come up with a plan…”
“Why the sudden silence” Dina said unknowingly interrupting Luke
“Luke was saying something. And Luke, there’s no need to apologize. I understand you”
“You do???” Luke asked as a small smile brightened his face.
“Yeah, off course. I was your die hard fan” Jewel said as she got lost staring at Luke in the eyes.
“I feel like I’m the ghost here and not Luke” Dina said getting tired of the fact that she was been ignored in the conversation.
“Sorry. So what’s our plan from here?” Jewel asked
“Since our major suspect here is Zach, we are going to use a weakness against him to get some information” Dina said and Jewel and Luke listened intently.
“Now, before you ask, you are going to get close to Zach” Dina said and Jewel mouthed a ‘WHAT’
“And I’m not crazy. I saw the way Zach looked at you two days ago when you dressed to ki|| in school. After all, Zach is your crush so it wouldn’t be hard. All you need is to make him fall for you so he can tell you some of his secret and….”
“No I’m not doing that. Think of a better plan” Jewel said
“Jewel” A voice called and they all turned to see Glenda there. How much of their discussion has she heard? How long has she been there? But Jewel didn’t mind
“What do you want?” Jewel asked coldly and Glenda felt her heart breaking. What has she done? Her happy girl was no longer there.
“Jewel, I..I…I…”
“If you have nothing to say then I’m leaving” Jewel said as she turned to leave but her mother’s next words stopped her.
“I’m sorry”
Those words echoed in Jewel’s head and a tear found a way out of her eyes. She was backing Glenda so Glenda didn’t see her tears.
“Don’t be, cause I don’t need it” Jewel said walking out as Dina rushed after her.
Only Luke was left. He wanted to follow her but thought maybe she needed her private space. Seeing those tears made he feel hurt. “What’s wrong with me? I am not…. No it’s not possible and never possible. I can’t possibly be into her right???? I think I’m going crazy” Luke said as he disappeared to clear his brain.
******UNKNOWN HIDEOUT*****
The word VENOM was still ringing in Moles head. VENOM was the tattoo on everyone in the clan. That’s why they where known as the VENOM CLAN. Does that mean the person who betrayed them was right here with them????
“Now that I think about it, it’s a really dead end. Boss already ki||ed him” Mole said talking about the man who was ki||ed before Mole was asked to look for the Book (the package).
“Boss ki||ed the man who was with the package and now wants me to search for it????? Where on earth would I go???” Mole half yelled
“You see that’s your problem. You have anger issues at the highest level. You’re anger always clouds your thought” Gator said and Mole sneered.
“I just need some hours….”
“Hours…. There’s no time. Boss is coming tomorrow” Mole said interrupting Gator.
“Well a half work is better than none. so I will jump search everywhere that man went to, look for the nearest camera, hack into it then we’ve found our new lead to finding the package” Gator said as he faced the computer in front of him.
“And why is that place quit” Mole asked going to search where he had left Elena. To his surprised, he saw no one but cutted ropes on the ground.
“She escaped” Mole said as a sinister smile appeared on his lips.
*******BROOKE’S HOSPITAL******
Elena paid the taxi driver as she rushed in. Her hair was messy but she looked unbothered.
She rushed to a ward and asked the nurse “How’s it going”
“The temperature is stable and there’s been an improvement” The nurse said
“And what is that??” Elena asked
“Tears. He cried ma’am”
“Well then. Prepare the shock. We are going to use shock waking method on the patient”
