The crowd began murmuring and the murmuring became louder when all the lights on the stage went off, leaving the auditorium in total darkness.
β Whatβs happening?β Blueberry asked but he got no reply.
β Mu Yul β He looked beside him but Mu Yul wasnβt there any longer. Everywhere was scattered already, the judges were murmuring. The students began taking out their phones to use as touch lights.
Blueberry left the spot as he kept looking around for Mu Yul. Maikel squatted in front of unconscious Ian and Nash helped him place Ian on his back with the help of the other members.
They found their way out of the stage into the room they used earlier. They placed Ian on the couch and Valerie, Rema, and Sweetheart removed their jacket to aid as a pillow for Ianβs head.
Alistair removed his and covered Ianβs legs, with tears leaving his eyes.
β You told me you were fine, right? You looked very healthy last night and a few minutes ago, then what went wrong? Gosh, Youβre scaring me Ianβ Maikel said and didnβt know when he started crying.
Nash took out his phone to call when Miss Rachel ran in P@Εting heavily.
β Whereβs he? Is he awake?β She asked, walking closer and the lights all came back on. She fell to her knees as her hands traced Ianβs unconscious face.
β You need to wake up, Ian. Your grandma called seconds ago to ask about you, and I told her you are doing great. That sheβll be seeing you on TV again. You know youβre the only one Grandma Choi has left right?β She said in tears, and that only made the boys shed more tears.
Nash cleaned his eyes as he dropped his phone. Soon after, a doctor came in to check what was wrong with him.
β Please be fine, Ian β Sweetheart cried as he held on to Nash who was patting his back gently. Nash didnβt want his younger ones to see his tears but he couldnβt hold it.
Never in their life did they ever imagine something of such would happen. Their hearts were beating with great fear as they kept staring at the doctor who looked confused about Ianβs condition too.
β Maβam, youβre needed β A girl said from the door and Miss Rachel stood up. She was one of the judges so she needed to be there.
β I believe heβll be fine..β She said to Maikel who nodded.

Cecilia wiped the sweat on her forehead with the back of her hand as she brought out her phone from her pocket.
β I wonder how sheβs coping β She muttered as she dialed her daughterβs line. It kept ringing but she didnβt pick up. After calling for a while, she relented.
β Sheβs probably busy β She kept her phone back and continued cleaning. After she was done, she made to exit the office, but she bumped into someone, splashing the dirty water all over him.
She looked up and her eyes widened in horror when she saw him.

Mu Yul had been following the unknown person with dark energy, but he still couldnβt get a hold of him. The person stopped walking and faced Mu Yul who stopped too.

β why are you after innocent humans?β Mu Yul asked.
β Innocent? β The Man laughed. β I havenβt even started yet. I am their doomβ He laughed loudly. He stopped laughing and took a closer look at Mu Yul before smirking.

β I dare you to say that again β Mu Yul said seriously and the man laughed.
β If I were you dear grim reaper, Iβll go back and enjoy the show. Youβre not human, but Iβm not interested in you. Watch out for those in that hall cos Iβm coming back for my preyβ He laughed and before Mu Yul could take a step to him, he vanished into thin air.

SUNSHINEβS performance came to an end and other groups were called out and then BEAUTIES. The scream was even louder than when SUNSHINE performed.

Blueberry stared at her from where he stood and he could feel the sadness in her heart. He wished he could do something but he didnβt even know himself.
Devyn inhaled and exhaled, feeling nervous cos of how many the crowd was. Lesley winked at her and she smiled slightly as she went to sit in front of the piano.
β You can do it. I believe you β Maikelβs words rang in her head and she smiled slightly. She closed her eyes and gently placed her hands on the keys, playing to the tone. It was a slow song so the crowd began moving their head side by side.
Lesley smiled, nodding to the melodious tone her friend was playing.
β Wow! Sheβs not that badβ Harriet said from where she stood.
β I know right?β Elvire said too.

Lesley kept singing and the crowd was already getting emotional until she finally ended the song. Loud shouts erupted from the crowd which made Devyn smile.
β Wowβ¦ That was a good one β The host said as she cleaned a single tear from her eyes. Lesley and Devyn left the stage.

β Itβs actually a song I wanted to sing back in France, but I wasnβt given the chance cos I was troublesomeβ Lesley said and they both laughed.
β Letβs go see the boysβ Devyn said and wanted to leave with Lesley but they both stopped and faced the stage. A girl in a long glittering black gown was on stage, with a veil covering her face. No part of her body was exposed, except her eyes.

Her voice was one hell of a voice. Even if you didnβt wanna listen, her voice had this magic in it that was drawing everyoneβs attention. She was still singing when the lights started flickering. Lesley and Devyn quickly rushed into the room Marvins were in. They met them still in tears.
β Nothing yet?β Devyn asked Miss Rachel who was crying in a corner.
β I donβt wanna die β Ianβs soul cried. Wind blew around the room and everyone froze. The unknown man grabbed Ianβs hands before laughing.
β Whoβre you? What do you want from me?β Ian tried to free himself from the manβs hold.
β Iβm gonna eat your precious soul to gain more energyβ The Man replied, and made to vanish but somehow, Mu Yul got him.
β This soul isnβt following you. If he has to follow anyone, then itβs me β Mu Yul said with so much authority.
β And what if I insist Iβm taking the soul ?β The man smirked.
β Then watch what a dog can do! β He replied seriously.
Blueberry came to the scene and somehow, he was able to see Ianβs soul.
β Isnβt he the guy who fainted earlier?β He muttered and went his way, looking for Devyn while Mu Yul kept challenging the man. Blueberry got into the room Devyn was in and met her crying. He felt a sharp sting in his chest and he clutched it tight.
β No, please! Ian canβt diΓ©! Marvins wonβt be complete without him! I donβt want Maikel to feel sadβ Devyn muttered and Blueberry stared at her. He left the room immediately to where he met Ianβs soul. Mu Yul was in a sword fight with the man, but the man was stronger than him.
β Youβre coming with me β Blueberry pulled Ian by the hand, taking him. The two people fighting stopped and faced him.
β Who are you? β The man growled.
β Me? I donβt know who I am either, so stop asking. Itβs irritatingβ Blueberry said and the man made to attack, but his eyes glowed which threw the man backwards.
β And the funniest thing is that I donβt even know how I use this, so watch out before you diΓ©β Blueberry warned and the man smirked as he licked his lips like he just found his favorite food.
Blueberry made to take Ian away, but Mu Yul stopped him.
β What do you think youβre doing? I need to take him to the underworld!β He shouted.
β Who are you to ask me what I do or not? β Blueberry shouted back.
β Did you forget? We arenβt close β He said, and Mu Yul balled his fist tightly.
β Heβs dead, and you canβt stop me from doing my job!β Mu Yul shouted again.
β Iβm aware heβs dead but If he goesβ¦ Devyn will be sad. You canβt take this soul away from me, not even youβ Blueberry stared at the other man who laughed.
β He must live. They must be complete if thatβs what will make Devyn happy. Thatβs all that matters to me, but if you think otherwise, grab this soul and watch what happens nextβ Blueberry said seriously.
