Blueberry touched her shoulder and she opened her eyes. After noticing she felt no pain, she looked at the direction the bullet came from and her mouth dropped open upon seeing the dead guy whose head was bleeding.
Her eyes scanned the amusement park, but she found no single souls. Seemed like everyone else ran for their lives. She quickly grabbed Blueberryβs hand and started running away with him.
She didnβt stop for a bit until they got home. She let go of him and P@Εted heavily as she held her chest which was beating rapidly.
β Youβre back β Came Ceciliaβs voice from behind. Devyn didnβt bother to answer as she settled on the couch, her mind drifting to what happened moments ago.
Who was after her life and how the hell did the person die? She was still in thought when her mom touched her.
β Is everything okay?β Cecilia asked after noticing the worried look on her daughterβs face. Devyn tried to lie about her mood, but Cecilia shook her head at her, signifying her to say nothing but the truth.
Devyn took in a deep breath and leaned back on the couch.
β Oh, Blueβ¦ β
β Blueberry β Devyn completed.
Cecilia chuckled.
β Right Blueberry! You can go eat. I made some noodles since thatβs the only food at home now. Sorry I have nothing better to offerβ She apologized with a sad sigh.
Blueberry stared at Cecilia, then at the dining table before going to take a seat. He held the chopsticks and began eating, but still, he had difficulty with it. He threw it away and took the fork instead.
Cecilia smiled at him before facing Devyn.
β What happened?β She asked and Devyn began to explain.
β What! Someone tried to $h00t you? Why?β Cecilia asked, shocked. She knew her daughter to be easygoing and a softie, then why in the world would anyone want her innocent fragile baby dead?
β Did you offend someone?β She asked again, and Devynβs mind went to Gemma. She smiled instead.
β What can a girl as weak as I do to offend someone?β She asked and Cecilia nodded in agreement.
β You shouldnβt go to school tomoβ¦ β
β Iβm goingβ Devyn cut in and stood up. She went to the dining and joined Blueberry at the table.
β I thought she didnβt want to go to school this morning?β Cecilia thought, staring at her daughter who was smiling as she ate.
β Is she seeing someone in school already? Or did Maikel perhaps talk to her?β She wondered again.
β When youβre done, go to bed early β Cecilia said.
β I will, but thatβs when Iβm done composing a songβ She replied. Cecilia smiled and walked to her. She K!SSed her daughterβs hair before retiring to her room.
After Devyn was done, she faced Blueberry.
β You shouldnβt turn on the TV today okay? And donβt sleep in the sitting room too. It will be uncomfortableβ She said, but he didnβt reply as he ate silently.

Harriet left her room all dressed. She walked to the sitting room where she met Elvire waiting for her. She smiled slightly but her smile diminished when she sighted Zora.
β Unnie β Zora ran to her and held her hands. She quickly removed her hands from Zoraβs hold. Zora sniffed and held Harrietβs hand again.
β Jeongmal mianhaeyo ( Iβm really sorry )β Zora apologized, her gaze on the floor. Elvira walked to Harriet and held her second hand too.
β What? You both wanna share me into equal halves?β Harriet asked as she wriggled her hands away.
β The truth is, I asked Elvira to keep a tab on Devyn which she did and thenβ¦ β
β And then you beat her up despite my warnings?β Harriet asked and Zora nodded slightly.
β But we ended up getting beaten by someone on our way home β She added and Elvira nodded her head in compliance with what Zora said.
Elvire chuckled mockingly as she watched them.
β I told you I was gonna get you outta the group and Iβm serious about it. I canβt just keep talking to you all the time then all you do is ignore β
β Unnie β Zora called with a pout as she shook Harriet gently.
β If otherwise, apologize to the girl you beat upβ Harriet said and left the house. Zora watched her with widened eyes as she left. Elvira just blinked confusedly.

β Iβm loving this β Elvire giggled and left the house as well.
β I would rather diΓ© than apologize, but I canβt quit this group. Not when I did my best to come this far despite the challengesβ Zora grumbled in audibly.
β Weβll have to apologizeβ She faced Elvira.
β What!β
β Yeah, but treat her badly in another wayβ She whispered to Elvira who sighed. She h@Ε₯Δd that she had to apologize after she was beaten up too. It just wasnβt fair on her path.
β Letβs go, theyβre waiting for us since weβll be taking just Harrietβs car todayβ Zora held Elvira as she pulled her out of the house to meet the others. They both entered the car and the drive to school began.

Devyn took her guitar and began playing the song she composed last night. She played for a few minutes before stopping.
β If he gets the tonic sol-fa correctly, then I donβt know what Iβll doβ She smiled broadly. She left her room all dressed for school still holding her guitar.
She met Blueberry watching a movie. She walked to him and switched off the TV before sitting next to him.
β Iβm sorry for doing that, but I really need your help. I wrote a song for my crush, so listen and tell me if itβs niceβ She said and began playing the guitar again while Blueberry stared at her fingers as they moved.
She was still playing when Cecilia screamed from her room. She was forced to stop playing as she ran into her momβs room, thinking something was wrong. Blueberry held the guitar and his fingers mistakenly touched the strings.
He jumped from the couch and the guitar fell from his hands, breaking into two. He didnβt bother to pick it up as he stared at the broken guitar.
β For real? Daeng commercials are asking you to resume work?β Devyn asked, shocked and Cecilia nodded happily.
β I mean, I was sacked a few months ago cos I was accused wrongly, and now, Iβm asked to come back? Gosh! I was even told they were gonna pay me for the months I was absent. They sent fifty thousand dollars as compensationβ Cecilia shouted happily.
β Oh, my God!β Devyn hugged her mom tight.
β So many good things are happening already β She muttered and Cecilia stroke her hair gently while sobbing.
β Youβll be late. Letβs eat something delicious when you come back from schoolβ Cecilia said as she opened her purse. She took out five dollars and handed it to Devyn.
β Iβm sorry things arenβt good at home, but I promise to get more than enough before you come back, okay?β Cecilia K!SSed her hair and Devyn nodded as she walked to the sitting room with her mom.
Her eyes widened when she saw her guitar on the floor, broken in two pieces. The strings were the only thing supporting the guitar from separating completely.
Her mouth dropped open and tears almost left her eyes.
β My baby!β Devyn ran to it. She touched it, then stared at Blueberry who had an innocent look on. She bit her lips very hard, trying to stop herself from blowing up. She wanted to get mad but she sighed instead.
How could she get mad at someone who did not know anything?
β Iβll get you a new one β Her mom said from behind her.
She closed her eyes and exhaled before opening it.
β Forget it. I still have my pianoβ She replied and faced Blueberry.
β Stop being too touchy, okay? Iβll be on my way now, see ya!β She touched his hair before facing her mom.
β Please help me with this. Bye β She waved at Cecilia before running out of the house.

[MARVINS MANSION]
The boys were getting ready to go to the studio to practice too, and as usual, Maikel was in the kitchen but this time, with Rema while the rest were getting ready.
β Really? If Iβm to marry, Iβll have to take you all alongβ Maikel asked after remembering what Rema said during his interview.
Rema nodded as he wiped the plates with a serviette.
β Then should I just diΓ©?β Maikel laughed. Rema stopped wiping the plates and looked at him.
β Should you? Cos Iβm not ready yet β He replied.
β But I thought youβ¦ β
β Yeah, but I didnβt say Iβd love to diΓ© with youβ Rema cut in, before laughing. He took the plates and chopsticks to the dining and started setting up the table.
Maikel joined him and they both set the table. Sweetheart left his room all dressed, Ian followed, then Valerie, and lastly Nash.
β Whereβs Ali?β Maikel asked, wanting to go look for him but he left his room with few clothes in his hands. He raised them.
β If any of this belongs to you, please signify β He said and Valerie palmed himself, trying not to laugh.
β What are you doing?β Nash asked.
β Trying to avoid your clothes β He replied and Nash faced him properly.
He was only in his boxers.
β You better go wear anything you see, and stop ruining my appetiteβ Nash said and faced his food while Maikel chuckled as he joined the guys on the table. Alistair rushed back into his room and dressed hastily before joining his friends at the table.
All eyes moved to him as soon as he took a seat.
β Donβt give me that look, you all permitted me. If Iβm wearing your clothes, itβs your fault, not mineβ He shrugged and Maikel laughed briefly.
β Iβve been given this assignment to coach a girl. Her name is Devyn Hanβ Maikel said.
β Devyn Han? That name sounds familiar. I think Iβve heard it fromβ¦ β Nash trailed off as he began staring at each of them, but he still couldnβt figure out who among his brothers had mentioned the name before Maikel did.
β Isnβt she the girl from earlier?β Sweetheart asked and Maikel nodded.
β Hyung is in love β Sweetheart shouted.
Nash glared at him for shouting that loud and he immediately went mute, bending his head continuously as he apologized. Ian laughed.
β Goodβ Nash smiled as he began to eat.
β Youβre frightening most times, hyungβ Valerie said and Nash raised his head.

β Nevermind. Forget you didnβt hear thatβ Valerie laughed.
β Good β Nash smiled again as he continued eating.

Devyn and Lesley were walking to class with Devyn explaining what happened to her at the amusement park.
β Iβm sure Gemma sent himβ Lesley concluded.
β You canβt be so sureβ Devyn said as they got to class. The class was unusually empty with just five guys waiting in the class.
β Donβt tell me theyβre her fans?β Lesley faced Devyn who didnβt know what to say. One of the guys moved forward till he was in front of them.
β How dare you lay your hands on Gemma? You even had the mind to ki|| my friend?β The guy yelled and made to slap Devyn, but Lesley held the guyβs hand and twisted it, earning a groan from him.
β You want to hit her in front of me? Are you nuts?β She asked, landing a kick to his groin. The screamed as he fell to the ground, wallowing in pain.
β Big for nothing β Lesley scoffed and kicked his stomach before facing the others.
β Wanna get beaten? Alright, come on β She said as she rolled up her long sleeve, but before she rolled the second hand, the other boys ran out of the class, leaving their leader behind. Lesley chuckled before walking to him.
β Next time, Iβll ki|| you for real if you try something as stupid as this β She warned and went back to Devyn.
β What were you saying?β She asked while Devyn checked her wristwatch.
β Oops, I need to see Maikel β She said.
β Iβll come with you β Lesley said, and they both left the class together.

They entered the hall and met the boys waiting already. Devynβs eyes opened and she became nervous.
Lesley looked at Nash and her heart skip beats.
β Oh Devyn, youβre here. Sorry for bringing them along. They insisted they wanted to hear you play the piano when I told them how good you were with it β Maikel said. β Please donβt feel uncomfortableβ He added and she let out a tight smile.
She faced the others and did a little bow.
β Hey pretty!β Sweetheart winked.
β Youβre the one whoβs tryna steal Maikel from me?β Nash asked and she looked at him cluelessly.

He moved forward and stared down at her with an intimidating gaze.
β Maikel is mine and Iβm not ready to share him with you, or herβ He pointed at Lesley, and her heart skipped multiple beats in one sec.

β Letβs hear you β Nash interrupted and sat down. Devyn forced a smile before taking slow steps to Maikel. She brought out her music note and gave it to him.
β Love with flaws?β He read out the title as he went through the book, reading out some of the lyrics.
β Wow. β He muttered, going to the page she wrote last. From the date, he could tell she wrote it the previous night.
He read through the lyrics and the tonic sol-fa.
β When are you gonna play?β Ian asked impatiently.
Devyn sat in front of the keyboard and Maikel sat not far from her. Lesley found herself a seat as she tried hard not to look at Nash.
Devyn smiled at Lesley who gave her a thumbs up. She tore her gaze to the boys who were also staring back at her, except for Nash who was smiling at Maikel.
β Donβt disappoint me baby β Nash said to Maikel who tried not to laugh. He cleared his throat and started thumping his feet on the floor softly as Devyn began playing.
The boys faced her at once, and Maikel smiled as he saw the surprise on their faces. He returned his gaze to the book in his hands as he began singing with the help of the tonic sol-fa.

β Hyung is so amazing. Valerie smiled as he stared at Maikel. He couldnβt deny Devyn played beautifully as well. Lesley smiled broadly and started clapping for her friend too.
Devyn smiled slightly before standing.
β How is it?β She faced Maikel, but before he could talk, Nash already Interrupted.
βIt wasβ¦ I donβt know, but I enjoyed my babyβs voice more. Sorryβ He said and Ian chuckled.
β Itβs a compliment. Hyung actually meant you were amazing. He doesnβt compliment girls, so bear with itβ Alistair said and Devyn smiled more. Talking to MARVINS was already an achievement to her.
β The lyrics are insane! Did I get the tone? Was it to your taste? Did you love it?β Maikel asked.
β Hyung, it seems Maikel has fallen in love β Rema faced Nash who frowned. He watched as Maikel took slow steps towards Devyn and he quickly stood up.
β Maikel is a no-go areaβ Nash rushed to Maikel and carried him on his shoulder.
β Maikel is taken. Heβs ours, sorry β Nash shot Devyn a fake smile as he carried Maikel and began leaving.
β You did well Devyn. See you again another time. Iβll get you something cool for your hard workβ Maikel said loudly as Nash took him out of the hall.
β Heβs quite funnyβ Devyn laughed.
β The thing is, weβre his kids. Anything our dad likes, we like it also. So if he wants to date you, then you know what that means; weβre all dating youβ Rema winked as he began to leave. Sweetheart wanted to move closer to Devyn but Valerie pulled him back.
β Donβt mind him, I can date you alone if you wantβ Sweetheart said aloud, and his friends laughed.
β I just love this kid. Too bad Iβm older than himβ Lesley chuckled.
β How old are you?β Devyn asked.

β Wow! Unnieβ Devyn chuckled and Lesley laughed.
β Gosh, Nash is so cool β She said as she moved her gaze to the door. She was surprised to still see the boys there except for Nash and Maikel.
β Why are they still there?β She wondered as she stared at them. Devyn traced Lesleyβs gaze to Sweetheart who winked at her.
β You did well β Five of them said at once with thumbs up.
β Keep soaringβ Valerie said lastly as they all left the hall. Devyn smile broadly as her cheeks turned extremely red.
β Youβre gonna burn up at this rateβ Lesley said, referring to Devynβs cheeks.

β Super-cool! We should audition together. Youβll play the piano and Iβll singβ¦ How about that? Iβm not sure weβll make it, but I guess weβll be noticed β Lesley said.
β Should we? Then letβs come up with lyrics and practice togetherβ Devyn said and Lesley nodded.
β Letβs go already. This is a hall for the SILVER CLASSES so letβs leave here before we get devoured by hungry zombiesβ Lesley held onto Devyn as they proceeded to the door, but someone pushed them back and they staggered.
Gemma and Honesty entered with their hands folded. Lesley exhaled deeply, letting go of Devynβs hand.
β With what honor did we receive this visit? β She asked, but Gemma faced Devyn instead.
β You were asked to practice with my Maikel and you dumbly agreed?β Gemma asked. Devynβs mind drifted to what Miss Rachel told her and she scoffed before she knew it.
β Look here germs; I really donβt have your time today okay? I left the house feeling so happy and I wonβt let you spoil that moodβ Devyn spoke up as she tried to be bold but her heart was pounding really fast. Lesley smirked.
β You heard that losersβ She smiled and held Devynβs hand, wanting to walk past them, but Honesty pulled them back and slapped Lesleyβs left cheek. Gemma landed her another slap on her right. Lesley puffed out air from her as she let go of Devyn. Her hair was scattered around her face.
β This is the type of thing I like so much β She laughed like a maniac as she twisted the deadbolt lock, locking the door from within.
She packed her hair in a punny tail before looking at Devyn.
β Dev, watch some martial arts to add to your merrimentβ She winked.
β What are you tryingβ¦. β The rest of Honestyβs words got stuck in her throat when Lesley slapped her back. Gemma made to interfere, but she received hers too.
β Yeah, Iβve returned the slapβ¦ β Lesley paused and faced Devyn.
β You should play the piano. I wanna perform capoeira ( π·ππππ πππβπ‘πππ). Itβs time to danceβ She winked and Devyn chuckled. She rushed to the piano and sat in front of it.
β READY?β Devyn asked.
β Yes babyβ Lesley laughed and Devyn began playing β Drivers Licenseβ by Olivia Rodrigo.
β Perfect β Lesley said as she placed her left hand on her waist. She started moving her hip with the rhythm gently while Gemma and Honesty exchanged confused glances.
β How about we dance together?β Lesley smiled evilly as she got to them. She held their wrist and pulled them to herself. She bent their hands backward and flipped them over her shoulder.
β Wow!β Devyn exclaimed.
β Arghhh!!β They both screamed, each of them holding their waist. They tried to slap her at once but Lesley bent and they ended up slapping each other.
β This is fun β Lesley let go of them and faced Gemma. β You both arenβt leaving here without dyingβ She promised as she landed Gemma a kick on her stomach. Honesty wanted to use that as a privilege to attack but a punch met her right eye.
β Ahh! Iβm blind! β
β Not yet, baby β Lesley laughed. The girls were already weak, so Lesley walked to Gemma and helped her up before flipping her over her shoulder again. As if that wasnβt enough, she held Gemmaβs right leg and twisted it roughly till she heard a cracking sound.
β Arghh!!!! β Gemma cried, yet no one could hear cos of the piano playing.
Lesley laughed and went to Honesty.
β You wanted to be blind, then no problem β She pulled her closer and punched her right eye again.
β Mummy!!β She screamed as her eyes started getting blurry. Lesley dusted the imaginary dust from her body and went to Devyn who was smiling.
β You rock girl! β They made a high five before facing the girls.
β I h@Ε₯Δ $h|t! Parisian babes like me donβt take $h|t from anybody, not even ants like you β Lesley said to them before leaving the practice hall with Devyn.
