Chapter Twenty-Eight
A month later, the fashion show kicked off, and a lot of distinguished people were invited to the show including Jasmine’s parents, an invitation was sent to them.
“Jasmine! Hurry up, we are late”.Mr. James said as they were already dressed up to leave.
“Why is she taking so long?”.Mrs.Lucia questioned and Jasmine came out not dressed up to leave.”Jasmine, you are not ready”.
“Yeah, I am not going, am staying with grandma”.She said.
“Why?”.He asked.
“I don’t feel like going, grandma will be bored all alone”.
“I am not complaining”.Grandma Alma said.
“I know grandma, I want to stay over”.
“Are you sure?”.He asked and Jasmine nodded.
“You two go ahead, you don’t want to be late”.
“Ok, if you say so”.Mrs.Lucia said.”You two look after yourself till we get back”.
“Don’t worry, you two go ahead”.Grandma Alma said.
“OK, bye”.He said and they walked away.
“Why don’t you want to go with them?”.She asked.
“Nothing Grandma, I just want to stay home with you”.
“Ok, if you say so”.

Mrs.Ava and her husband were welcoming the guests in, then Mr.James and his wife came over and they welcomed them warmly.
“I am so happy you could make it”.Mrs.Ava said.
“It’s an honor, thanks for the invitation”.Mr.James said.
“Where is Jasmine? She didn’t come with you?”.Mr.George asked.
“No, she said she wanted to stay home with her grandmother”.Mrs.Lucia said.
“Oh, ok”.
“Anyway, this way, the show is about to start”.Mrs.Ava said and she led them inside the hall and they sat at the second roll.
Soon, the event kicked off, and Desmond and the rest were getting dressed in the dressing room.
“Is everyone ready?”.The instructor asked and they nodded.”Good, the show will start in the next five minutes, so get ready”.He said and walked away.
“Wow, you look gorgeous”.Blake said talking to Desmond.
“Thanks, Bro”.
“Believe me, all eyes are gonna be on you, most especially the ladies”.He said and Desmond scoffed.
Some minutes later, the show kicked off as Mrs.Ava entered the stage to address the audience, and the audience cheered her up with a clap.
“Let the show begin!”.She said and the lights were turned off, only the stage light was on.
Each model started walking to the stage with an amazing posture, the crowd was clapping while cameras were taking photos of the show and the models. An hour later, the show came to an end as the model came to the stage with Mrs.Ava with them. The audience stood up in amazement cheering them up, it was a great show and everyone was amazed by their presentation.

In less than twenty-four hours, Mrs. Ava’s show was all over the internet with people commenting and patronizing her goods, a lot of newspaper companies took the show and Desmond’s photo was used as a cover magazine because he stole the show and the people’s hearts, they were amazed by his performance and a lot of companies were requesting for him.

They were eating at the dining table.
“Wow Mom, everyone is talking about your show on the Internet”.Blake said.
“I know right”.
“Even Desmond is becoming popular, your photos are everywhere in the magazines, and a lot of companies are seeking for you”.Blake said.”You are now a celebrity”.He said and they smiled.
“Come on son, eat your food”.Mr.George said.
“Looking at these alone quench my appetite”.Daisy said and they laughed.”My brother is amazing, am glad to have a handsome brother like you”.
“Please don’t flatter me, am just good at what I do”.Desmond said.
“That’s my son”.Mrs.Ava said.”I am proud of you son”.
“Thanks, Mom, you deserve it”.He said and they laughed.
“Believe me, you are going to be the talk of the school tomorrow, I can’t wait to see the screaming faces of the girls in school when they see you, you are going to have a lot of crushes”.Daisy said.
“Exactly! He is my son”.Mr.George said.
“Can you all stop already, you are making me nervous”.He said and Blake snapped.
“Yo bro! Your Instagram account is raging nine hundred and twenty followers”.Blake said and Desmond instantly checked his phone and was amazed.
“Woah, before it was five hundred followers and it has doubled up”.Desmond said.
“Don’t be surprised if it gets to one million before tomorrow morning”.Daisy said.
“Congratulations son”.Mrs.Ava said and they continued eating.

The next day, the driver drove them into the school compound, and immediately they stepped down all the students started screaming and taking photos of Desmond, he smiled and waved at them, and his friends rushed to him.
“I told you!”.Daisy said.
“Yo man, you are now a celebrity, everyone keeps talking about you”.Jake said.
“Congratulations”.Nathan said as they walked inside with students following them behind still screaming.
They got to the classroom, and all the students screamed which made Jasmine grip in shock, she was reading quietly and the scream from the class made her shocked, she raised her face to meet eyes with Desmond and then she returned to her book. They left for their seat, still chatting.
“Wow man, I just checked your Instagram page is raging one million followers”.Nathan said.
“I was shocked as well”.Desmond said.
“You have many crushes, and a lot of ladies are dying to have a date with you, this is the time to show yourself”.Jake said and Desmond scoffed.
“You know I am not that type of guy, am not in the mood for that”.He said.
“Don’t be a boring dude, I wish I was in your shoes right now”.Nathan said and Scoffed.
“I am not ready for all that”.He said and stared at Jasmine for a while who felt unconcerned about what was happening as she was calm and focused on her book, Nathan noticed he was staring at her, and he smirked.
During lunch hour, a lot of students were coming to take photos with Desmond, and he allowed them.
“Wow, I wish your brother was mine”.Daisy’s friend said and Daisy scoffed.
“Don’t bother, he will never look your way”.She said and then saw Olivia walking to another seat with her food.” Seriously!”.She scoffed and the rest turned to look at her.
“Is she still avoiding us?”.2nd girl asked.
“Yes, she refused to talk to us”.1st girl replied.
“Just let her be, she will come back begging us”.Daisy said and they turned to their food.
Some moments later, everyone was heading back to their classes after the lunch break, Desmond was walking with his friends along the hallway, and a lot of students were pushing their way toward him, Jasmine came over and tried to make way for herself to come out of the crowd, just then she misses her step, reeling forward, the crowd pave way for her, Desmond turn his back due to the scream, he was quick enough to grab her hand and pulled her to himself, but he miss his balance and he fell with Jasmine resting on his body, Everyone gasped in surprise.
