Chapter Twenty-five
Desmond walks to each class searching for her and he wonders where she was.
“Jasmine?”.He called no response. “Jasmine, where are you?”.He continues calling her name while searching everywhere around the classes and even the toilet.Isabella’s story don’t copy .He walked to the canteen and she was not there. “Did she leave her bag and disappear?”.He questioned confusedly and then dialed her number, the phone was vibrating in the bag, he brought out the phone from the bag and saw the name she used in saving his contacts”Jerk?”.He scoffs. Isabella’s story don’t copy. “But where is she?”.He said and started moving around and then he stopped when he heard a noise coming from the kitchen area.”Jasmine?”.He rushed to the kitchen calling her name.
Jasmine heard her name and she was too weak and cold to reply, she tried to stand up, but her hands and legs were stiff.
“Help”.She said weakly.
“Jasmine”.Desmond called walking toward the cold room direction.”Jasmine!”.
“Over…..here”.She said weakly and managed to stand up, but she fell and Desmond heard the noise.
“Jasmine?”.He rushed to the Doorstep and saw it was locked.” Could she be here? Why will she be here?”.He wonders confusedly and he opens the door.”Jasmine?”.He entered and the door went locked, he rushed to open the door, but he was unable.”Why can’t I open the door?”.He sighed and brought out his cell phone, but there was no signal.”Gosh!”.
“Help”.Jasmine said and Desmond heard the voice.
“Jasmine?”.He walked closer to the direction and was shocked to see her on the floor.”Jasmine!”.He rushed to her weakly and noticed she was cold as ice. Isabella’s story don’t copy. “Oh my gosh!”.He rushed back to the door trying to open the door.”Someone help!”.He yelled banging on the door.”Geez!”.He rushed back to Jasmine and quickly took off his jacket and used it to wrap it around her body.
“It’s cold”.She shivers.
“How did you get in here?”.He asked as he sat down and cuddled her in his arms.
“It’s cold”.She muttered
“Don’t worry you will be fine, I will get you out of here”. He said cuddling her tight into his arms.”Just stay a little longer”.
Meanwhile, both families began to panic, it was already getting late.
“He said he would be back soon and now it’s 11 pm already”.Mrs.Ava worries.
“Maybe we should go and look for him, what if something bad happens to him”.Daisy said.
“He could still be in school”.Blake said. “Hold on, let me track his number”.He said
“Why is his cell phone not connecting?”.Mr.George said.
“Got it!”.Blake said and they rushed to him.”His tracker is still on the school premises”.
“Why is he still in school?”.Daisy wonders.
“We should go and pick him up”.Mrs.Ava said and they rushed out.
Mr. James and his wife were walking along the road to look for their daughter, they waited at the bus stop. Isabella’s story don’t copy.
“Maybe we should go to her school”.Mrs.Lucia said.
“I think so too, we have been waiting here for almost two hours, and no sign of her in the buses that have made a stop here”.He said and they stopped a taxi, they enter and it drove off in the direction they told the driver
Desmond’s body was already adapted to the cold, he was shivering, but his arms never left Jasmine’s body as he was holding tight to her, their eyes were closed as if they fell into consciousness. A While later, Mr.George and his family arrived at the school and then Mr.James and his wife came too, they were surprised to see each other.
“What are you two doing here? What a surprise!”.Mr.George said.
“Yes, we came to look for Jasmine, she hasn’t returned home”.Mr. James said.
“Why?”.Mrs.Ava asked.
“She said they are having practice after school, she usually comes home before 7 pm, but today she is was taking so long, that’s why we came here to see why the practice is taking so long, wondering what teacher keeps students at this hour”.Mrs.Lucia said.
“Practice? What practice?”.Blake asked confusedly and turned to Daisy who was hiding her face.
“Are you guys having practice in school?”.Mr.George asked talking to Daisy. Isabella’s story don’t copy
“Let go inside and see for ourselves”.Mrs.Ava said and they went inside why Blake was still tracking down Desmond’s cell phone.
They entered the building and noticed no one was around, they kept searching.
“Where are they doing the practice?”.Mrs.Ava wondered.
“Desmond tracker is leading to the cold room”.Blake said.
“Cold room?”.Mr.George wondered and they rushed to the place.
“Could Jasmine be here too?”.Mrs.Lucia asked.
“Why will she be here, they will freeze to death”.Mr.James said and Mr.George opened the door.
“Is cold here”.Blake said.
“Desmond!”.Mrs.Ava called as they walked deeper into the cold room.
“Ahh!”.Mrs.Lucia screamed as they saw the two of them. Isabella’s story don’t copy. Everyone was in great shock.
“Desmond?”.Daisy called and they rushed to them.
“They are both cold as ice”.Mr.George said and then dialed an emergency number on his phone.
“No, no”.Mrs.Ava sobs.
Soon the ambulance came, and they carried them away while their families followed them behind.
~~Hospital~~
Everyone was in great panic. The two women were consoled by their husbands.
“God please, let nothing happen to them” Mrs.Lucia sobbed.
“Nothing will happen to them, they will be fine”.Mr.James said.
“How did they end up in there?”.Blake wondered.
Another hour passed, the doctor came out and they rushed to him.Isabella’s story don’t copy
“How are they?”.Mrs.Ava asked.
“Are they ok?”.Mr. James asked.
“Everyone calm down, they are fine”.Doctor Ben said and they sighed in relief.”They are both lucky because their bodies are warm to each other, so, there is nothing to worry about”.He said.
“Thank you so much doctor”.Mr.George said.
“Can we see them now?”.Mrs.Lucia asked.
“They are being placed in different rooms, the boy’s room is closer to the girl’s room, rooms 5 and 6”.He said.
“Ok doctor, thank you”.Mr.James said.
Each family left for their children’s ward. Drip was fixed on them as they were still unconscious and the doctor reassured them that they would be up by morning.
