Chapter Twenty-one
The party kicked off with a lot of people present, there was so much excitement in the air as they ate and danced.
“Wow, this is the best birthday ever!”.1st girl screamed and the rest agreed.
“I am glad you are enjoying the party”.Daisy said.
“Is the best”.Olivia said.”And your dress looks pretty amazing, I love it”.
“Thank you”.
“Where did you get it from?”2nd girl asked.
“My mom bought it from when she traveled to England”.She said. Isabella story don’t copy.
“This must be very expensive”.Olivia said.
“Yes, I don’t go for cheap things”.She said and they laughed.
“Let’s cheer to that”.3rd girl said as they continued with the fun.
Desmond was drinking with his friends and they were drooling over any girl who walked by, Desmond scoffed at their attitude.
“When will you two give it a break?”.
“We can’t help it, I need to get laid tonight”.Jake said.
“Probably not in my house”.Desmond said.
“Come on man, there are over thirty rooms in this mansion”.Nathan said.
“Don’t care, none of you is getting laid in my house, go do it elsewhere”.He said sounding serious and they scoff.
“You are so mean”.Nathan said and then two ladies walked up to them.
“Care for a dance?”.1st girl asked talking to Jake, Isabella story don’t copy, same with the other, talking to Nathan.
“Lead the way, ladies”.Nathan said and they left with girls. Desmond stares after them and continues with his drink.
Meanwhile, Jasmine was celebrating with her family, there was so much excitement at the dining table, they surprised her with a cake, her mother baked for her and she was happy.
“I guess this is my best birthday ever!”.She said and then someone knocked on the door.
“Are we expecting someone?”.Mrs.Lucia asked.
“Well, let me check”.Mr.James left to open the door and was surprised to see a delivery guy with many presents in front of him.
“Good day, sir”.He greeted warmly and Mr.James responded.
“How may I help you?”.
“A delivery for Ms.Jasmine”.
“Am her father”.
“Ok sir, please sign here”.He gave her the paper and he signed. Isabella story don’t copy. “Thank you and good night”.He said and drove off. Mr. James started bringing the presents inside and everyone was surprised.
“Who’s presents are these?”.Jasmine asked.
“The delivery guy said is for you”.He said after bringing all the presents inside.
“Wow, so many”.Grandma Alma said.
“I guess these are from Mrs.Ava and her husband”.Mrs.Lucia said.
“Do you want to open them and see what’s inside?”.Mr.James asked.
“Ok, let us do the opening together”.She said and they sat down and started opening the presents.
“Wow, this one has shoes inside, is so beautiful”.Mrs.Lucia said.
“And this one has a teddy bear”.Mr.James said.
“Same here, but it has a pink gown and a bag”.Grandma Alam said.
“And this one has Jewelry”.Jasmine said.
“All these are quite expensive”.Mrs.Lucia said.
“Should we return them?”.Jasmine asked.
“Hell no, these presents are from Mrs.Ava”.Grandma Alma said.
“But they are too much”.Jasmine said.
“That’s because they love you dear”.Mr. James said and then Jasmine’s phone rang, Isabella story don’t copy, she smiled as she picked it up.
📞”Hello, mom”.She said and Mrs. Ava’s voice came from the other end and she placed it on loudspeaker for everyone to hear.
📞”Do you like our little presents?”.
📞”These aren’t little Mom, they are too much”.Jasmine said.
📞”I know, it’s your birthday and you need all that, you are still my little angel”.
📞”Thank you, I love them”.
📞”Am glad you do”.
📞”Thank you, Mrs.Ava,” Mrs.Lucia said.
📞”It’s a pleasure, please look after yourself”.
📞”We will, thank you”.Mr.James said.
📞”Thank you, Mom, I Love you”.Jasmine said.
📞”I love you too, bye, enjoy your day”.She said and they hung up.
“This is amazing”.They said excitedly and continued to open the rest presents.
Back at the George Mansion, everyone was still in a lot of fun. Isabella story don’t copy. Desmond came to his balcony to have a quiet moment.
“Is everything ok son?”.Mr.George interrupts from behind as he walks up to him.
“Yes Dad, everything is fine”.
“But you don’t look like one, did something happen?”.
“No, everything is fine”.He said.
“Is your birthday party, and you are here all alone, you don’t like the party?”.Mr.George asked and Desmond sighed.
“I do, is just that…..”.He sighed.
“Do you miss Jasmine?”.He asked and Desmond was quiet.”I guess your silence means yes”.
“No, is not like that, I don’t miss Jasmine, we are not siblings, so, why should I care about her”.
“Are you sure about that?”.
“Come on Dad, can we stop talking about her, she has her family now, let’s not worry about her, she is not our responsibility anymore”.
“Don’t think like that son, Jasmine was once your sister and I know you secretly liked her then, but you were stubborn to tell her”.
“You are wrong Dad, I never liked Jasmine, there was a time I wished she could disappear and never returned, there was no sibling connection between us, maybe that’s because she wasn’t my sister, and nature could have it, she really wasn’t my sister, do you know how happy that made me”.He said and Mr.George sighed.
“But you helped her to the school clinic when she was sick and you even brought her home, isn’t that because you care about her?”.
“No Dad, I did that because she was alone, and she needed help, I felt pity for her that’s why I helped, believe me, I h@ťě myself for doing that”. He said.
“OK, I hope one day you don’t go back on your words by saying you don’t like her”.He said and walked away.
Meanwhile, Nathan heard their discussion and recorded it, and then sent it to Jasmine.
Jasmine came out of her bathroom after taking her shower, She saw her cell phone beep of incoming message, Isabella story don’t copy. She sat down on the bed and played the video, she listened to the whole thing Desmond said and she became sad and heartbroken.
“Like I ask for your help”.She said angrily and flipped her phone on the bed.”I don’t like you too, I also wish you could disappear forever and I will never see your ugly face again, you jerk!”.She lay on the bed and turned off the light.
