CHAPTER TEN: STOLEN HEART
Snow watch Alucard cover his mouth with his hands, his breathing heavy, everything seem to be confusing me ” my lord?”
” go to the carriage snow ” he growl ” the coach man will take you to the castle ”
” and you ?”
” I have some business to handle ” he turn his gaze else where, leaving me in the dark as always, standing still I take few steps toward him ” snow” his gaze met mine again, warning in his voice ” go away ”
” why?”
” I don’t owe you an explanation ” he bark at me, making tears to fall off my eyes ” I told you already, go to the carriage ” his face filled with frown as he said it.
” why are you treating me this way ” I asked confused, different emotions swirling in me ” I told you how I feel ”
” I never asked for your d@mn feeling snow!!!” When those words left his mouth I step back while shaking my head, he run his hand through his hair but before he could say anything I run out of the room, downstairs and out of the ballroom.
I could hear Beelzebub calling my name but what mattered to me now, is my feet running faster out of this nightmare I am in.
Refusing to step into the carriage I ran elsewhere, far away from the ball and Alucard, tears fill my tears, confusion fill my brain and pain fill my heart.
Everything seem so confusing, the reason why Alucard keep pushing me away still eluded me, why won’t he just say it, why do he keep treating me nice.
Smiling and calling me sweet names.
Laughing at my silly attempt to make a joke.
I h@ťě him for leading me on, giving me hope that I can win his love, giving me hope that he will soon belong to me, giving me the feeling that he cares for me .
Stopping at the roadside I yell ” I h@ťě you ” I could feel my body breaking down, my heart feeling pain it haven’t before, nobody has ever told me that love is this painful, looking at the bright moonlight I realize that the moon is also alone, stars are fill with companion but he is alone just like me.
Waiting for the one person, hoping its Alucard.
” snow ?” Hearing that voice, I turn around to stare at Beelzebub, secretly I was hoping Alucard will run after me but then it was just my wishful thinking.
” my lord” I quickly clean my tears ” what brings you here ”
” no matter what, a lady shouldn’t cry ”
” that’s preposterous my lord” I fake a laugh ” I wasn’t crying ”
” are you sure ” I nod my head and he smile ” Alright, I was hoping you will accept my invitation to stay in my castle tonight ”
” pardon ”
” it seems you have no place to go snow ” he smile ” am giving you a home for tonight and I refuse you from declining ”
” my lord”
” come with me, my carriage is close by ” nodding my head I walk behind him and into his carriage, the ride to his castle quite, deciding to bring up a topic, I turn to his direction, my blue eyes burning into his brown gaze ” forgive me snow, I just can’t help but stare at your beauty”
” my lord, surely you are just being funny ”
” not funny my lady, have you seen yourself in the mirror recently ” he smile ” am sure the goddess of beauty will find a hard time competing with you ”
Before I realize what’s happening am chuckling and blushing while he continue with his attempt to lighten my mood which is working ” you look better when you smile” he touch my face gently, I didn’t try withdrawing, I remain still ” I know lord Alucard hurt your feelings for you to run away in such a hurry ”
” my…”
” don’t denied it, don’t lie to me either ”
Once I was betrothed to Beelzebub, it was caught off when his family thought I was a witch, we were only thirteen then ” oh am not lying my….”
” call me Beelzebub ” he lower his hands ” just call me that when we are alone ”
” Beelzebub ” I smile ” thanks ”
” you have really passed through a lot snow, your father selling you was a shock to my ears, I find it hard to believe he will do such thing ”
” that’s in the past now lord…Beelzebub ” smiling I nod my head ” thanks for helping ”
” don’t say much of it ”
” then I have to do something in return ” the carriage stop indicating we have arrive ” what should I do ”
” you don’t have to….”
” I insist lord Beelzebub ”
” a kiss ” his words made me to stop blinking ” a kiss is all I ask”
” lord Beelzebub I…”
” if you say no I will understand ”
” lord Beelzebub ” I smile ” its just a kiss after all”
” are you sure it do not worry you” his eyes fill with worry, I ask myself this question, why didn’t I fall for him, someone who will love me back, someone who will give me those eyes.
Is Alucard even worried about me, or is he still thinking about himself ” is okay lord Beelzebub ” I lean close ” is just a kiss ” after that word he place his lips on mine but I feel nothing, no electric flow, no pleasure, no racing heart and then it occur to me.
Alucard really did steal my heart.
